    When I was a freshman in college, my roommate was Jamaican. I am white (from USA) and she and I were constantly asking each other about the differences in our cultures. We talked all the time about how we cared for our hair- washing, styling, dyeing, cutting etc. I loved having her for my roommate and I learned so much from her. Years later and we still stay in touch, but my hope is to visit her in her own country. Fingers crossed I will one day.

      If you want ancestral method tchek out the process women are using in Tchad, with very long, healthy and nourished hair thanks to chebs powder.
      African American are not connected to Africa. Only thing in common is melanin let’s be honest now. You should improved your American origins and « traditions » than feeling African and generates differences between « races » in your own country.

    Wow. I am a white man who has it very easy when it comes to hair. My best friend and I were roommates and I use to watch her do her hair. She does not have it easy like this woman because when it's humid out her hair just volumizes. it makes it harder when you have to wash hair with jugs of water but I'm glad the kids are helping out. Her hair came out beautiful. You can tell it's a lot of work and poor girl was falling asleep in the end. I love your videos.

    Hi Angella, if you spray the hair with water before combing, it becomes soft and manageable plus it helps the hair to grow 👍🏾🙂

    • @JuicyJ.86
      @JuicyJ.86 Рік тому +33

      No. She did it the right way the way she did it. Wetting the hair before combing it does nothing but make your hair more susceptible to breakage.

    • @blessed7645
      @blessed7645 Рік тому +88

      ... that's why I said 'spray' as opposed to 'wet'. Am aware that wet hair breaks easily but when you use the spray bottle, you get a nice light mist... Just enough and not too much. 🤗🤗

    • @Niqua10023
      @Niqua10023 Рік тому +22

      It is better to water the hair then comb. But, either way the results came out great. Everyone have their own unique way of doing hair. Combing dry is a bad idea in away because it would pull it out more then wetting if you really think about it? If wet? The hair have a better chance to smooth out correctly without pulling the rest of the hair. But, like I said this was fun to watch. Everyone has their own opinions. Instead of being a certain way we need to improve and teach others more and more respectful way cuz nobody is always and the rights of everything but we all learn from each other we as black people need to do that instead of going against each other because that's what the world wants.

      @@JuicyJ.86 Dry brittle hair also breaks easily. Water, grease, leave in conditioner or something to lubricate the hair while she combs it would make it so much easier.

    I'm white woman, a proud mum of two beautiful mixed race girls. I also braid my daughter's hair every month. I absolutely love black people's hair! Even though the care it needs is very demanding. It takes me two days to wash, comb detangle, treat and braid my daughter's woolly textured hair. I love caring for my daughter's hair. 💕 Most people have no idea how hard it is to care for this beautiful hair.

      @@AnimalLover2400 I find it hard because I can't just do a ponytail and be done with it as I do with my hair. My daughter's hair and from her cousins who are full black 4c hair I know it needs a lot of care, otherwise it breaks. On my straight hair I don't do deep conditioning , I don't section it, I don't wear a bonnet to sleep with and protect my hair. I think maybe because you're used with and is natural and daily routine and that's why is not hard.
