LOL! We exported this video this morning with TWO LUTS applied to it by accident from media encoder (the ones that are supposed to correct Premiere's colour space)... so I looked a bit orange... HERE'S THE REAL VERSION!

This is one of the best and key tips to make that break through around understanding colour correction and skin tones. It really gets you out of that rut of not understanding the process. The rest is aesthetic then as long as skin tones dont look mental.

Man, mark, the way you get straight to the point is fantastic, it lets amateur viewers really take what they want from the video-without either being treated like a child or a decades-in professional. We need more content like this, man

I agree with everybody else, this is an excellent tutorial that among other things shows how to do basic color correction with less-than-perfect color vision, a need that does arise. (You can also use a roughly parallel approach with a high-quality -- not cheap! -- color reference cards or even a neutral gray card if you shoot it at the start of each setup.) And also that's a great remark about the plain ignorance inherent in racism.

first off you're my new favorite chanell (im' a hobbyist hybrid shooter). I sold my sony a7iii due to skin tones, but watching you're AMAZING footage makes me more resolved to buy Canon R6 for. hybrid shooting (docs/travel/family stuff) the yellow/green tint is very much a turn off to my eye but know the resolution is amazing on sony

Saturation...how do you generate natural neutral saturation in your scopes? Only a hobbyists, but I enjoy your channel a lot. I use a flatter profile (A6500.cine or slog2) and transform the color space in resolve but once you balance the highlight, mid.and shadows..I have a hard time assessing “natural” saturation in skin. Any tips? Thank you.
