😂😂fancy meeting you here. Apparently your vid is #1 for bringing traffic to my channel right now. Lol sick video. Lookin forward to seeing ya on the river again this year! Take it easy. -Zach Taylor
Low and to the left! Low and too the left! Low and to the right! Low and to the right! Reel like crazy! Nice to see someone properly fighting a big fish in the river. Person on the net has some work to do.... Nice fish. Glad it all worked out for you in the end.
I've been a river rat my whole life been fighting big fish in the rivers in Michigan since I was 6yrs old this is not only rhe biggest river I've fished but also the biggest fish I've caught! The net job was the scariest part of the whole battle... lol
This is the Klutina river that flows into the Copper River at Copper center with one of the Glennallen AK Slock drunken drug addicted rafting outfits. They kill a few unsuspecting tourists here every summer. I used to guide Jet boat salmon fishing here for 20 years. No one has any business using a raft on this river for offering any kind of guide services and the video doesn't even show the real dangers of this river. Look how that moron has overloaded the raft with way too many people on an extreme dangerous river.
57lbs currently getting replica made to hang on the wall I was in Alaska for 10 days August 1st through the 10th but season runs from July 1st to August 15th! Look forward to seeing you on the river this summer!!
The reason we keep the rod tip down is to keep the fish from putting his head up in the heavy current and using more of the current to his advantage. When you put the rod tip low it make the fish point his head down and he can't use the current to his advantage as much
Because of the way we chased this fish and brought it aboard the raft once it leaves the water in Alaska it is to be obtained so this was my one and only fish I was allowed to keep I released plenty of other fish on this trip to finish their thing!
Could have filmed a little longer to be honest , 8 minutes 45 seconds roughly of fighting it and soon as you landed it the video was done within 5 seconds
This is the Klutina River that flows into the Copper River at Copper Center AK. I did jet boat guided fishing here for 20 years so every day I had at least 50-pound Chinook in the boat and Chinook to 85 pounds at least once a week. These rafting outfits from Glennallen AK are bunch or drunken drug addicted morons that kill a few tourists every summer here because this river isn't any place to taking people in these small calm water rafts that turn over then people in 48-degree water off the Glacier kills people in minutes. I ran a 20-foot Wille open jet boat with a 225 Hp EFI Mercury here and much of the river is just dangerous that has no lee way for mistakes. These rafter guides are always drunk or on drugs making it even more of a danger for tourist
@@Lure-Benson my guides all all drug and alcohol free! every single one of us. The only death that has happened on the Klutina river in the last 10 years was a military guy that rented a boat that wasn't even allowed on the river. The raft guides rescued the rest of the party that was involved.
Still plenty of big fish in that system.. If the meat was mush it wouldn't matter then would it cuz he'd already passed on his genetics. Your comment is a contradiction. The meat doesn't turn to mush til they finish their spawning and start to die.. but for the record my license, my fish and the meat was still orange and still in great condition.
... kann man beim Drill nicht eine Mannes- & Menschen-Würdige Haltung einnehmen??? Mann Mann Mann ... ich hab auch schon King Salmon over 40 Pounds in Alaska gedrillt ... Saludos

Wow..awesome strike..👍
What a sick fight! I've only caught a couple kings but in a Lake Superior tributary. Nothing this big, damn!
the net job was brutal
Scariest moment of my life.... that dude would have never made it back from the river if that fish wouldn't have made it in the raft... lol 😆
@@killermiller9627 yeah man i would be scared too netting a fish that big honestly i probably woulda fell in so i take back saying it’s brutal hahah
Nice how the net master threw his cig butt in the river. Well done.
Epic Battle!!!
it's amazing to be able to enjoy a very interesting moment greetings from Indonesia
Man that is adrenaline rush there. So dangerous, I wouldn't want to fall off the raft in that water. Team work make dream work

Great king did y'all release it pretty red probably not good to eat but put up one hell of a fight congratulations
The Klutina kings are always red. Meat was still very orange and tasted great 👍 I now guide for the company that took me out to catch this fish!
Oh God That Is Amazing
God wanted him to have that fish. Good job all involved
Nice fish! What he weigh? What was the date, might book a trip with ya. Thanks!

@@killermiller9627 Subbed to see the replica bro.
It says all the start of the video that it’s 57pounds by the way that’s a huge fish what a great catch
What strange way to play salmon rod down like that at the start but what a beast well done.
The reason we keep the rod tip down is to keep the fish from putting his head up in the heavy current and using more of the current to his advantage. When you put the rod tip low it make the fish point his head down and he can't use the current to his advantage as much
Like Siberian taimen ..awesome fishing
That’s why kings are my favourite. The first one I caught was 15 lbs and it made me rethink my line yardage
Nice fish! Jake is blast to fish with! Is this the gulkana or klutina?
Thanks Jake is a badass for sure! I will actually be joining him next year to help guide. This was on the Klutina.
Did you kill that fish or did it get to do it's job?
Because of the way we chased this fish and brought it aboard the raft once it leaves the water in Alaska it is to be obtained so this was my one and only fish I was allowed to keep I released plenty of other fish on this trip to finish their thing!
Awesome fish! We are from Michigan as well and have some awesome salmon and Halibut videos from Alaska you should check out! Keep it up!
Right on! Returned the favor and Subbed to your channel!

As times go by, there isn’t much of this size of Salmon left. We make these giant Salmon endangered

Wasn’t as big as brads but it’s decent
lol this fish was Twice the size of Brads. Both Brad and kyles fish were caught on my charters.
Pauly want a cracker
awesome fish but the netting job was awful
Bitchin' fight! Too bad it was a spawner with excellent genetics. The meat in that fish was mush.
