- Brook and I took a trip up to the pacific northwest to fish with our friends from the @AddictedFishing youtube channel. Our first stop was to fish for spring chinook salmon aka king salmon on a river in Washington. We were back bouncing with Salmon roe, looking for one of the most expensive salmon species in the world. Spring chinook have a high fat content and are revered as some of the best salmon, when compared to other species. This is the first video from our time fishing in Oregon and Washington!

Cheese absolutely does not belong on salmon what a sin. I want to taste salmon not cheese.
For real.
and mayo too wtf
@@SlurryNoisesmayo on my salmon a think layer to let the montreal steak seasoning stick better and on the BBQ it goes. Best salmon I ever had and I can taste the salmon perfectly. I get it. Seems weird but think of it this way. Most people make Tuna or salmon salad sandwiches and use mayo too.
@@andreabruno5495 Actually, you're right, i've forgotten the legendary combo of mayo and tuna.
Springer! Most sought after salmon we have out here. So glad you guys got to try it fresh like that. - Marlin
Thanks for having us!
Yeeewwww!!!!! ALL BENT UP WITH THE ADDICTED CREW!!!!! Much love from a hardcore addicted fan here in the rogue valley!
It doesn’t get any better than that!
Sea run cut throats or steel head are my favorite. Caught so many kings and silvers from California to Canada for years. Nothing like fresh caught salmon in the ocean..once they hit fresh water they change
Good to see you guys link up!
Hell yes! Jordan is the only one I consistently watch on Addicted Fishing’s channel. His energy and excitement is just infectious. I’m so happy you guys did a collab. I hope there’s more like this coming.
Everyone always tags the Addicted Fishing channel instead of Jordans solo channel. And I always forget the name of it. Do you remember his solo channel name? It’s actually hard to find just searching his name and such. I feel like maybe he should change the name so it comes up in searches better. Or include better tags.
@@AshtrayAnnie sorry for the late reply. His channel is Stay Fishy Adventures. Amazing content.
@@ericakinley thanks haha. I ended up finding it again
I’ve got a couple things to say..
1. This is one of my favorite videos you’ve made.
2. I loved Jordan he’s so funny and just seems like a good guy
3. The pup stole the show
The pup's name is "Little"!
Jordan is a great human 👍
I’m an Oregon viewer and I absolutely loved this content and watch Jordan and his crew a lot, was a blast to watch this great content with the two of you!
Do it again.. haha please
It was amazing to see my favorite East Coast ( Victor and Brook) fishing channel do a video with the ADDICTED crew! Thanks from Oregon!
Hella Jealous not going to lie! Always wanted to fish with Jordan his energy is unmatched and his respect and Knowledge in the fishing community is hands down Idle worthy for sure
Seeing you with Addicted is my favorite thing ever!
Welcome to the Northwest. Glad to see you enjoying the fishing I am used to, the Addicted team does a great job sharing content and educating for our area fisheries as you do for Florida. Looking forward to another trip to Key West to use some of your teaching . Thanks.
When he hooked up into the salmon and his genuine excitement...... I know that feeling well, best feeling in the world
YOOOO Landshark and Addicted fishing??? That's insane I'm so hyped
Looked like such a good time, beautiful scenery and an awesome time fishing! That's a bucket list place & fish to go do and experience for sure!
The scenery never gets old!
@@LandsharkOutdoors not at all the Pacific NorthWest is stunning! Ive lived in New England my whole life the scenery and fishing out this way is pretty great as well depending the season and type of fish you're going after! Striped Bass, Tuna, Fluke, Flounder , Rainbow Brown & Brook trout are all really fun to go for!
There is nothing better than putting slabs of a Springer in the BBQ, unwrap the tinfoil and see all the oil..🤤🤤🤤 Definitely my favorite salmon🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I'm from the NW, salmon/steelhead/trout/sturgeon all the way. Then eventually YT suggested Landshark videos. I became a fan of what you guys do down south and now you're in our corner of the country seeing what we do. Very cool.
Welcome to our home state. Spring Chinook Salmon are the best. I have fished here for 60+ years I've eaten all the Salmon the Pacific Northwest Offers.
Thank you for watching
the first 10 seconds you got me hooked, love the music
The two best fishing channels on UA-cam making videos together 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼🔥
I love how excited dude from Addicted gets!! It's really a great thing!
That’s the excitement you want outta your guide , gotta love addicted fishing.
This video made me kinda feel like im out there hanging out with you guys feels close to home idk maybe i just like the outdoors and fresh water fishing
Dude yes congrats I'm so happy to see you guys linking up with addicted fishing!
This is an awesome collab, I watch both channels religiously and am from the PNW, this was fun!!
Rad to see you out here with the Addicted crew. I'm a Stuart native that has been out here in the PNW for over a decade now, so it's cool to see channels from both walks of my life joining forces!
There is a huge difference to self caught salmon compared to commercial caught. Commercial caught salmon is dumped into a hold and frozen, blood, entrails, and gills still intact. This adds a distinct "funk" to the fish's taste, and I think that is the reason that many people are averse to salmon. Salmon tastes completely different and is astonishingly delicious when it is bled, dispatched, and then entrails and gills removed, it is the best tasting fish in the world, sadly 99.9999% of people will never know the difference.
"you really don't wanna overdo it on the seasoning" ............. (*smothers priceless fresh fish in garlic salt, mayo and pesto??????*)
But no prayer? I’m going back to Ace and Micah. 😂 That fish looked SOOO good.
Welcome to Oregon. I commercial fished for salmon for 15 years and have been an avid sport fisherman for 30 more. Springer Salmon is highly prized and you are fortunate to have gotten to experience one. By the way, this is not our typical April weather.
Your fishing equipment is fantastic, this pond has great fish, you are a very lucky fisherman, Congratulations!👍🎣🐟🐠🔝
*_I love your videos!_* 🥰
God bless you always!
Lol bot
@@doctorcrew1631 right?! Hahaha
I am so envious. I wish we had the opportunities to go sea fishing in the sun where we can catch so many varieties of wonderful fish. Great videos mate well played and keep them coming.
I Love Salmon in any way possible.
Absolutely love fishing in the cold.
Look yummy sending full support from Philippines
6:14 the dog wanted a little bite of that beautiful salmon
I thought I was watching addicted’s channel, good stuff
The taste will never forget :)
I love the dog directly trying to bite the salmon once It’s landed
I love how he called the salmon, springs, most Americans refer to spring/chinook as kings. I subscribed to him totally for that.
We are lucky enough to have this as one of our main sport fish in my area, absolutely nothing like it. Best tasting salmon on the planet! Hope you had a blast, always appreciate seeing your methods of cooking 💪👌🤙
Oh man!! The beautiful redish pink color of the meat looks soooo delicious. There's absolutely nothing like fresh caught salmon. Nice catch!
What kind of crazy guests are you having?
the dog trying to eat the fish alive💀
you and joey antonelli easily have the best fishing channels on youtube
fishaholic fishing all day
First of just gonna say welcome to the north land. And I wish you nothing but success.
That is cool
Haha the dog had the first bite
Salt , pepper and Dillweed is how I go.
Some sort of oil helps with that foil situation.
Good things come to those who bait. Love from Kashmir ❤
copper river kings and reds have entered the chat....
As a PNW resident for 10 years - Columbia River is amazing
Aye Vick welcome to my side of the country buddy! The fisheries here are soo unique and I’m happy you guys get to enjoy them.

Glad to see you guys fishing with Jordan!! Link up with more West coast fisherman, cheers from California
I used to hate salmon, but I always gave it a try and I’ve found the quality really matters for me. Now I could eat it raw once a week easy
Brooks comment at the beginning LOL you guys really are floridian

Caught a 26 lbs wild chinook off lummi island fought like crazy my personal favorite 🎣 fish
Another awesome trip vid. Not envious of the cold though, only the fresh fish!!! 🦞🐠🦞
I used to catch these by the tone in the Nottawasaga river Ontario Canada 🇨🇦. Great fight
Welcome to the PNW! Excited to see you fishing in the northwest! Right lines
In Sweden we called salmon Lax , Lax is also a slang for 1000 Sek= 100 dollar, so is like give me a salmon = give me 100 dollars 😆
That was awesome but......now I'm hungry !
Good ole lewis river
That’s a bit too cold for my Camera man 💀
Can’t go wrong with the mayo, That’s a nice fish.
I started watching these Landshark videos over a month ago. Victor does a great job. It's like going on a mini vacation. I love to cook. I'm getting good filet lessons.
Tiny was ready to eat that first salmon as soon as you got it in the boat
that's my home river!!! good fishing when it ain't a free way!!!
Fresh salmon is like no other. Removing the skin is a must as well!
I love the skin!
So glad you got to come to my Home state and enjoy the best Salmon on the planet. Spring Chinook. Fat marbling like A5 wagu. Hopefully Jordan invites the both of you for summer fishing on the ocean and Bouy 10 fishing on the Columbia. Maan that looked like good times. Fish in tin foil is hard to get wrong. I was cracking up at the most expensive fish paired with good ole Busch. I can't wait to watch more!
Shooshing him like it matters after you’re hooked

At the University of Washington, Loren Donaldson has under way a long-term study of the effect of chronic low-level gamma radiation on the chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) (Bonham & Donaldson, 1966; Donaldson & Bonham, 1964; Donaldson et al., 1969).
Grilled salmon next to the river you caught it from can only be made better by sippin' on a Busch Latte!!!
Welcome to PNW, the best place in the world
If it rained less and had pelagic fish haha
Awesome video. Love Landshark and Addicted fishing channels
Just caught a crazy 30pound chinook yesterday out of the nisqually
Pesca... Mantaps sekali...
I love salmon fishing!
You know it’s gettin real when you start putting layers on your hands…..
I always thought hand warmers were for sissys.... boy was I wrong
@@LandsharkOutdoors haha
Funny enough, I’m currently working at the local salmon Hatchery clipping the adipose fin on chinook and then coho in a few weeks. It’s cool to see all the tiny juvenile salmon leave then eventually return as a mature fish weighing in the teens if not more.
Thats Awesome Caleb, thanks for watching!
I fish year round for salmon and steelhead, but l literally have the kitchen pass to fish springers. That's the first thing that runs out in my freezer. That's what we do out here. Toil in the crap elements for that tug. Glad you enjoyed.
That's what I'm talkin' about! Notice the reel. It's a "left handed" reel, which is actually a right handed reel. You don't have to switch hands when you get a fish on, and the rod is in your power hand if you're right handed. The only thing most people do different is to lock the rod under the forearm, not the armpit. The reel is actually considered a bass fishing reel, but it holds enough line for anything you're going to need on the average river. And usually the rod has a "trigger" mounted right to the blank that you hold your finger against so you can feel even the most subtle steelhead/salmon bite.
I think I’m too spoiled with Taku from outdoor chef life and his filet skills because I judge everyone’s shit now 😂
Hahah well he's coming to Florida tomorrow to fish with us actually
@@LandsharkOutdoors what?! Aha that’s crazy. I’ll keep an eye out for the video.
We need the Masaru collab.. that would be amazing.
that guide is hilarious! good stuff
Great video salmon fishing
