Diagnosed years ago, now 72 and no changes. Clear lungs always !
Thank you for your soothing and calm explanation of lung nodules. I was just diagnosed incidentally from a heart CT with a less than 5 mm nodule and have convinced myself I have lung cancer. Your presentation is the best I have seen, and has calmed me down until I can discuss with my own doctor. Thank you so much!
Same here
I was so much worried 😢I found out that I have it but u calm my anxiety 😢
@@lubna62I will keep you in my prayers.
Same. They found 3 from a Cardiac CT the biggest being 4mm. I am an ex smoker so I am stressed. They want a follow up at the one year mark which will be this next January. I hate waiting but I keep telling myself if they were truly worried they would have scheduled it sooner. I just don't think I can handle anymore bad news. The heart condition was hard enough to accept.💔
Thank you for your excellent bedside manner. I can now relax a little knowing that ALL nodules are not cancer. It's enough to know there are other reasons for nodules other than a death sentence. Again, thank you.
Same here 😢
Dr. Agrawai, I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide this information for patients. I am newly diagnosed and have been very concerned. Your presentation was very educational and better helped me to understand what my pulmonary and cardiologist attempted to explain to me. God bless you for your medical ministry and being willing to help .
Bravo!!!

I buy by
I had it. I never felt so sick in my life. Basically it was the beginning of Cancer but they didn't use the word cancer. I took immediate steps to change everything. I changed all my products to natural one's after learning what is in our daily use products.
I also began a strict cancer fighting diet. Along with prayer to battle. In 6 months Jesus healed me and the nodule disappeared completely and I no longer felt sick. ( I would treat it like it's cancer right off even if your not sure.)
You can do this on your own by stopping all forms of sugar and following a cancer diet and reducing any stress in your life. I am not a Dr. and have no medical history but from my experience the quicker you act the better. Besides doing these things can only benefit you anyway not harm you.
hello same situation here..
@@giesalatar2670 hello, I'm sorry to hear that. Will gladly share any info that might be a help to you.
THANK YOU , YOU MAKE IT SO EXPLICIT AND IT TAKES THE CONFUSIONS AWAY. THE EXPLANATION WAS EXCELLENT.
Clear, concise, and so well presented. Thank you.
You are a kind man to take your time to do such a excellent explanation of lung nodules.
And even more than generous to answer some pressing questions.
Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge. Cancer, of course is terrifying, and you were able to reassure many today.
Thank you! Good luck to you. 🤞🙏
Thank you, doctor. I was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2021. It's been 2 years, no evidence of cancer. Yes, I still have followed up every 3 months. By watching this video, it gave me validation that my diagnosis, treatment progress, and follow up are the same. It's just like second opinion. Great info and comfirmation.
glad it was helpful and good luck to you.

It is a super remarkable explanation for patients to understand how to read CT scan for cancer nodules. Appreciated!
Thank you for the concise understandable video on lung nodules. I've looked all over the internet this video explained things perfectly
This is perfection, personified! Thank you for your efforts and assistance to the throngs of people who need this explanation. Bless you always!
I was diagnosed with several hard nodules in 1981. The doctor said it was from air pollution and to not worry about them. I was 39 then. I’m going to turn 71 soon, and never gave them another thought until your video. I’ve had no problems, even though I smoked heavily until I was 45, then quitting “cold turkey” by the grace of God. I hope I can assume the doctor was right, as I’ve had scans, X-rays and an MRI for other things, and nothing was mentioned.
oh im glad you shared this, i too diagnosed the same woth your sickness, I pray to survive this. thank you
Enjoy bro , do carpentry don't worry
How do one know they have nodules
@@geraldinemcwilliams5137. For years I have had a persistent cough. My doctor couldn’t explain it so she ordered a CT chest scan, which showed I have 2 lung nodules (3mm & 9mm) and bibasilar acteletasis (collapsed lower lungs). When I was 21, I spray painted military vehicles with paint that contained hexavalent chromium. I did not use a respirator or any other type of protection. I had to blow and wash the aerosolized paint out of my nose every night because I unavoidably inhaled it while painting. I’m now 63 and I go back for a follow up CT in Nov. 2023 to see if the nodules have grown. I hope you’re well.

5:55 I really appreciate the analogies for the sizes of nodules! quarter, penny, chocolate chip, lentil and mustard seed. Amazing, and the visual is brilliant. Thanks.

Excellent talk thank you all of your series are well done
Great for NPs too. It's nice to know what patients are listening to and learning about with their health for sites like UA-cam. It helps the clinician better understand the pat from their understanding and perspective and it promotes a better discussion. Thank you.
thank you!
I gave him a thumbs down because of the talk to your doctor / NP nonsense
Thank you so much. I have osteoarthritis, and have small nodules on my finger joints. I now understand more from your video. Thank you!
Great information to have. Thank you very much For taking the time to do this!
Thank you so much. This was great information , explained very painlessly .. Thank you for all you do
Thank you so much! I wish I had you as my Doctor. My favorite doctor passed away, and I miss him.
I really can’t thank you enough for explaining this to me. I went to the er today for a couple issues and a found a nodule. The doctor explained but to the point where I felt like I had cancer. I literally felt impending doom leaving the ER but I am happy that I found this video to clear things up! I get a follow up soon and feel a bit better to where I can sleep tonight❤
glad it was helpful for you. best of luck!
Hey Doc , so I went in to the ER for a couple of issues and during a CT Scan a nodule was noted. I’ve known about this nodule for 13 yrs. It’s like 1mm in size . Never had issues, run miles , lift weight no problems . ever. My primary Dr. is a-where of it. I’m worried cause the ER doctor told me to follow up with lung 🫁 doctor .
Very helpful presentation..clarifies it up for the average person.
Great video. So informative. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
This was super helpful, it eased my intense fear. I am following up with a pulmonologist.
Me too
I just fought out last night smh
THANKS for sharing. And explaining step by step
OUTSTANDING explanation! Very helpful to me. Thank you!!

Excellent video, thank you.
Very informative video, thank you!
Thank you, very informative and much appreciated.
Thank you so much for your video, very informative and your calm voice is so pleasant to listen. God bless you ❤
Thank you for this information. I will see my doctor couple weeks and I'll have questions for him. Keep up the good work.
Hi Doctor, that was a great and informative video for ordinary people like me. Thank you for taking the time to put up those pieces of information. God bless you, sir!
Thank you. This was very helpful
First of all, thanks 🙏🏼 so much Dr. Rishi for such a detailed yet simple explanation on this topic. I particularly liked your expose’ about the Fleischner guidelines. My wife was recently diagnosed with multiple lung nodules so this was very helpful to understand the context and what to expect next and what questions to ask. Please keep up the good work and continue educating us.
my pleasure good luck to you and your wife.
I had nodules low risk, had CT scans every six months, then yearly. At the last scan they could no longer see them.
Thanks for the presentation!
I have another CT coming up and now have better questions to ask of my Doc.
Ty... learned so much...more than what Oncologist told my Brother.
Thank you for explaining this in a way all of us can understand it. Next thank you for not rushing voice wise in explaining this. Very detailed also while explaining. Great job !! I really enjoyed listening to you. I actually have two thyroid nodules.
could mean a lot of things, but I can't say for sure. better to ask your doc.
Ct chest scan show me 4point small nodule 2mm,3mm,4mm. and 5mmm.then go to see lung doctor..he look ctscan film and tell me .." unsuspicious cancer. " 6month ..ctchest scan again..
Dr thanks for clearity on nodules .
My husband has had multiple nodules in his lungs first noted in 2018. He’s since had stage 3 colon cancer, these nodules have never changed, even with chemo. With the stability and the non changing, they have always considered them benign. To be honest they have never really mentioned them to begin with other than they are always notated on CT.
I’m gathering they are so so so common.
God bless everyone
Thankyou doctor, this was a great help!
Thank you so much for this info . I've had nodules for years
Thanks a bunch for all of this information. Such a great, calming video.
Thanks, very informative and helpful
nice short informative keep going on
Thank you Dr. That was very interesting.
Thank U so much for the very interesting and easily understandable lecture. I'm still looking forward to your advanced lecture of lung nodules for the doctor :3

Thank you for the information very interesting Doctor 🙏
Very detailed explanation ty doc good speaking clear precise ty so much

Thank you so much for this explanation, as a recently diagnosed patient having been told after my 1st ct Scan, I need a further scan in 3 months and have been very worried, I now feel more hopeful things will be fine 🤞 xx
thanks and good luck to you
Very informative video.
Thank you for the information that i can understand. We have just received an invertation for a new population screening here in Holland for lung cancer . I have just seen youre other video about ct scan also. Through your clear info, I have deceided that i will do this scan. For myself ( i m a sadly enough a smoker for years ) and for the screening witch maybe can help other people in the future. (Sorry for my maybe bad, english writing 😊)
Thank you for your comment. Good luck! ✌️🙏
My last ct to evaluate my chronic asthma showed heart failure and a triangularity shaped something in rul. Glad I got it done
This was super helpful and easy to understand. Thank you for provoding this!!
thank you Doctor, this could be a great help to us.. God bless you
You are very welcome
Yes, I have been just diagnosed with this too, but they don’t tell you how much you have to find out on your own. And some doctors don’t believe in UA-cam.
Thank you, your voice is pleasant and calming, your information was general and very helpful.
Thanks for the info doc.
You eased my mind thank you
👍👍👍👍 I worked in forensic pathology department for many years and seen all kinds of diseases individuals would die of and never knew that had for many years... Lots of doctors never really take the time to talk to patients about they're health issues... Anyone can get Lung cancer, but most of individuals that get lung cancer are 🚬 radon gas, uranium miners and coal miners.... Its very rare that patient will find good doctor to explain everything to patient like this wonderful doctor.....
thank you!
this is the best and i havent finished yet go doc need t finish watching
Very helpful!
Very very informative
Great video! Thanks!
Thank you so mh for explaining This
Helps me to understand why the follow up on a model my Doctor tells me I have
Thank you immensely!
Thank you!!🙏
Best piece of patient-oriented explanation of lung nodules. Needed this to understand my CT results better and be at peace with the "no actionable pulmonary nodules'" commentary. Thanks a ton for helping those who are worried or need guidance. If you are reading this, do you agree with my interpretation of "no actionable pulmonary nodules = no follow up necessary"? since they found a few in each lung, I am assuming those were small (size was not mentioned).
Yes I agree with that interpretation that you stated. With the technology we have now, we have the ability to see really tiny nodules but vast majority are benign. Glad this was helpful.
@@ThoracicRadiology Thanks for getting back. I do live in Chicago (CT scan was downtown at NWestern) and your geo-specific note on the common fungus was very helpful.
Fun note, I have a friend from grad school at Michigan: you have almost the same name. He is Rishi Agarwal vs Agrawal... 🙂
Thankyou you are an excellent dr
🙏This helped me understand what's going on in my body more then yu will ever know. Thank yu
Here's my story. Oct 22 my primary Doctor wanted me to get a low dose CT scan #1 I'm a high risk cancer I had skin cancer several times. My grandfather passed away from Lung cancer. And Yes I smoke been over 30 yrs. YES IM STOPPING ✋
SO THEY FOUND A SMALL NODULE FROM THERE I WENT FOR A PET SCAN THE SCAN SHOWED THE SAME. I DONT KNOW HOW BIG? SO NOW MY DOCTOR WANTS ME TO SEE A pulmonary doctor. Who I never seen before. I was wondering why not a Oncologist ? But I think yu answered my Qwestions. Thank yu 🙏😇
i gave up cigarettes 10 months ago and my dr. wants me to do a low dose ct scan but i'm so afraid. i call it the beginning of the end. my parents died from a stroke and colon cancer but never had lung issues. still, i cannot get up the guts to go for a scan. Good luck on your quitting venture! patches worked for me this time.
Dr. Agrawai, I've never seen such informative, well-structured video, thanks a lot for such detailed, informative and well-understandable video, thank you
Thank you for the video. I had breast cancer 9 yrs ago. Radiation and chemo treatments. I also have RA. I'm taking Arava for my RA. Helps keep the flare ups minimal. I get a CT scan once year from my oncologists since my cancer. There are 2 very small (1 mil.) round nodules in my lungs. One has decrease in size. Doctor doesn't seem too concerned because they haven't increase in size. They said more than likely they're rheumatoid nodules.
My boyfriend has that arthritis
Our doctor 👩⚕️ is stupid
I had a client that used to smoke. She had something done and she hurt all over she knew she had a blood clot. Then when she was ready to see visitors she died probably from cancer ♋️. Probably from smoking too much. I worry about my stepdad he is going to turn 88 in December
Thank you very much for taking your time to explain this to us. I have had a nodule for over 10 years and am on a high risk category
I have f/u every year. The module has never grown
Recently I had a CT scan
After the results came back,I was referred for an MRI. The results
.came back fine but with recommendation of repeat CT scans every 6 months. I was told because I am unable to take the contrast dye the scans needed to be more frequent .There has been to explanation as to what a lung nodule was nor what any of it really means. This past statement regarding the 6 month follow ups had me getting a bit concerned so I really appreciate your video.
I had some years ago found on a ct for my gallbladder. I did the six month scans for three years and then the nodules just disappeared.
same here
Thank you doctor!
thank you so much Dr.
Ty for the info! Great!
Good info thank you
thank you sir ..
Great video
Thank you!
Thanks you very much! It is such a well done video! Loevely regards from Vienna/Austria! :)
Thank you! I have been to Vienna 2 times. Loved it there.
Thank you for a very straightforward explanation.
I think you strike a nice balance between the usual extremes found on UA-cam. Usually, most medical videos are either directed at a professional audience only and hard to understand for a layman or so simple in nature you might as well not watch them at all. 👍
Love from Westbengal, India..
Please tell me about nodules found on the lung and on the bones (upper body). Thanks
Thank you 👍
Dr please what about perifissural solid speculated nodule in a known case with pancreatic cancer
Is it suspected as being mets ?
I'm 71. I've been plagued with bilateral (NOT at the same time) Spontaneos Pneumothrox events since aged 17. By the age of 22, I'd had three surgeries (1 abraision left, pluerectomy x L & R and for years after, multiple events (20+) for which I refused chest tubes. Ignore spelling and improper terminology, please. Can you do a video on BLEBS. My last events were the evening of my Covid vac (but unrelated) and while visiting my sister's deathbed, one year later.
i have nodules i am on year 3 at stable so my dr said now i dont need a recheck for 2 years it was every year till this point i was glad to hear that i had histoplasmosis years ago they think i got it from one of my ancestors having tuberculosis a long time ago
Thank you .... I was just diagnosed with a 1.3 CM nodule. They did a puncture but either they didn't missed or it is just healthy lung tissue. I am going for a PET scan today and then a Bronchoscopy later to biopsy the nodule. Thank you for alleviating some of my fears.
Good luck to you. Love your handle btw👏😂
Would have been perfect for a Proctologist- but it's cute!
What is the result
Did X-ray pick it up ?
@@crystalslade8056 x ray can just pick up fracture it's useless
Thank you
I had a very small nodule removed by cardiac surgeon and it was adeno carcinoma but no spread. Now I have after almost 3 years a 6 in left lung and granuloma so what are my odds
very useful
I appreciate the educational piece on this. Have you ever seen the nodules disappear on their own?
Yes, it is common for some nodules to disappear
I have facing the same from last 7 years but there nothing serious in my body but chest x-ray always showed lymph nodes in bilateral hilar
