This is true, I've rewatched it quite a few times now but I think her UA-cam channel allows her to focus on what she wants to do and cause it's not a big production not so hectic and full on behind the scenes 😊
I'm sure she's only going to sell it to someone who wants to keep everything as is, hopefully one of her fans. I wish I had enough money to buy her house...
I love the domesticity of Christine's videos. The soft, warm lighting, the pets playing in the background, her sweet and calming voice. It really feels like watching your partner craft during a quiet night in.
Christine I can't believe you're selling all the beautiful Furniture inside the house also my favorite piece was the sofa bed that you redid. I watched that went over and over and over again I loved it. You did an amazing job on a victrola beautiful. I swear lady you have the patience of Jobe to do all the beautiful things you do. Will you be sharing the next house you buy and everything that you will be doing to make the house your own.? Looking forward to your next new video. Be safe have an awesome day.
I think she is full of ideas and she wants to redecorate her new home and bring us with her on the process. She will problem do a tone of videos about creations, decor, restoration etc. this channel is promising!
My grandma would redo antiques. It’s amazing the eye for detail she used to have. She had a magical workshop full of different paints, supplies and concoctions. The smell of turpentine always reminds of that magical place where she would create her beautiful woodwork, art projects and designs. She also had a sewing room. My grandparents owned a house from the 1800s and they lovingly fixed it up and my grandma filled it full of antiques. Watching Christine work her magic takes me back to the days of long lost childhood and my dearly departed grandmother. Whom I jave strived my whole life to be a fraction of.
As a note. That song was played on loop in my vintage 1940s themes haunted house for 7 hours. So I know every word to Hush Hush here comes the boogie man
My mom bought a house because of a window, my sister bought a house because of a Dogwood, If I wasn't across the country I would buy your home just for the interiors you plan to leave. How lucky to be the new owner!
It’s a specific niche of people that do this- I’ve collected antiques since I was 15 and my house looks, well like hers and people always either say- oooh I love your house or ohhhhh, your house is scary as shit! I was always told I was an old soul- I’m guessing everyone that watches this are similar!
My friend just introduced me to this channel. Her pitch was "dude, this chick is basically you, but with more money." She started me off with the couch and wallpaper videos. I would absolutely do all these things if I had the time and resources. As it is, I recently restored a 1905 singer treadle machine, an oak armoire, and am working on restoring an oak dresser. My mother has a booth at an antique mall, and helps me by keeping a lookout for bizarre or creepy Victorian and Edwardian decor pieces. My life goal is to have a house that is equal parts Tim Burton set, Uncle Monty's house (series of unfortunate events), and Mrs Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.
I can just see her coming down the stairs of a huge three story 18th century house. Completely redone from her mind. Wearing a beautiful vintage gown, welcoming her guests to a weekend of horrors, er, of dinner...
It’s so cool that she basically interior designed and diy’d the crap out of this house and now she’s on to the next. It’s one big functional creative project.

Wow Christine's skill level blows my mind! Everything she touches turns out beautiful. 😍 If the original antique dealer bought it for $400 in the 1980's and then sold it for $525 in the current market...with inflation... does that not mean the gramophone decreased in value?? Maybe I have that wrong.

Exactly what I needed during these uncertain times. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Thank you so much for the upload. I am obsessed with this channel. I hope Netflix comes to their senses and creates a second show with her lifestyle, cooking, refurbishing, and DIYs. Or just a season two of the first show. I enjoyed it so much. These are the two songs my grandad would always sing to me. He used to listen to Henry on the during the war. I think he may have even seen him perform at some point. It's so nice to hear that someone else knows of these songs.
Hi Christine, I recently came across your channel and I have to tell you I enjoyed the tour of your house, breathtaking ☺️. You did remarkable and beautiful remodeling work. Also the morning glory horn was absolutely fabulous along with the cabinet work you restored. Thank you for sharing your work. Very inspiring !
She doesn’t go too much into the details, but gramophone needles are still made and are very simple to make. They are literally steel rods that have been ground into a point like a sewing needle, hence the name. She is a little imprecise when she says the needles “warp” when the record plays. The point of the needle wears away so it becomes wider and damages the grooves of the record. You can technically sharpen used needles with a fishhook sharpener. Cactus and fiber needles were also used as renewable replacements. However when she mentions the Pathé gramophone, it does use a sapphire stylus because the records play “weirdly”. It can only play Pathé discs which start from the inside-out and have vertical grooves aka the needle moves up and down. The “Bogeyman” Columbia record would be entirely incompatible since the record starts from the outside-in and uses lateral grooves aka the needle moves side to side. These are also the older shellac records which spun at 78 rpm. The more modern vinyl record came much later around 1948 and spun at 33/45 rpm.

I second that sentiment. Her home and furnishings are GORGEOUS and just to die for.
