Your last comment on how his message and purpose is on top on Dave’s list is absolutely spot on, whereas with Avelino you can tell that he is more focused on delivering hard and clever bars while making sure the message does not get lost. It purely comes down to preference between these two guys. Dave is a better storyteller in my opinion, while Avelino is even more clever than Dave with his writing of bars. I love the exposure given to these UK guys. If you would like to do more UK music, please delve into Ghetts and Kano. They are the two biggest figures in the grime scene for me and deserve much more exposure than they currently get. Ghetts’ daily duppy is especially good in my opinion.
