Awesome stuff! Keep it coming! With the new Polymega having the ability to play 32X games I hope we see some new 32X game support from indie developers.
Unfortunately, SuoerH Assembly programming is very hard. Dual SH2 is even harder. And adding the 68000, Z80, five DMA channels, and two VDPs puts the 32X outside the range of most programmers.
I think there are a few systems that never got to show what they were truly capable of. The 32x, Jaguar/JagCD and the Lynx are probably the top candidates for that category. All were ahead of their time, but werent huge money makers and were never put to the max of their ability. Id love to see a 32x or Lynx's own "Mr Gimmick" or "Little Samson" that pushed the NES or "R2 Rendering Rangers" or "Street Fighter Alpha 2" for SNES.
Gamers wanted mindbending 3D graphics for the 32X and Jaguar, not reheated and barely improved 16-Bit leftovers, but 16-Bit leftovers are more common because they were easier to make.
The Lynx couldvecbeen a successful home console in its day and even put ATARI back in the top two in many countries. It was the first capable of 4,096 colors and 3D polygons at high frame rates.
WHY? Sega should never have released it. They should have either gone straight to the Saturn or started making games for the 3DO instead. Then we might have gotten Sonic Xtreme instead of having to wait for Sonic Adventure. Maybe even a remake of Sonic 3 & Knuckles along with a little bonus for those who bought the original Sonic 3 and S&K cartridges. Or we could have gotten S3&K on the 3DO instead. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?
