NATO Reinforces Ukraine with Troops and Heavy Combat Equipment

A taboo has been broken in Europe. Just a few months ago, it would have been unimaginable for European leaders to propose sending European troops to Ukraine. But on February 26, French President Emmanuel Macron said the deployment of European troops to Ukraine could not be “ruled out.” Since then, other European officials have joined in; Finland's Defense Minister and Poland's Foreign Minister have both stated that their countries' troops could be stationed in Ukraine.
The debate in the US Congress over sending military aid to Ukraine has been a disaster. A new aid package is finally ready to be approved, but months of indecision in Washington has disappointed Europeans and given Moscow hope that Western countries' resolve to support Kyiv is starting to crack.
