Thank You!
Great video and well explained for a novice recording guy.
Good video, most people just get into the one side of sidechaining.....
Made me switch to Pro Tools this one! Thanks for a great tutorial!
A little tip: Use something like a very short 808, with no attack, a quick decay, no sustain or release, to trigger the sidechain. And then just mute the trigger in the arrangement. This way you will first of all be able to set the sidechain much faster. And 2nd of all you will not have that bump like in this video, where it goes a little weird.
You are THE BEST ! :)
Amazing video, great quality and content, much appreciated!
Thanks, Ben. Really informative, and well articulated. I appreciate the knowledge. ;)

You Rock ! TanX
Great stuff.
Thanks for the vid
Respect!
thanks!!!! ^^

Cheers c:
sidechained is widely used in dubstep, and new style progressive house. You must sidechain almost everything except the kick and vox.
Could you do one more without and one more with? I couldn't quite hear the difference.
how to side chain reverb and deley ad? thanks so much
Actually, without side-chain sounds way better, more coherent and musical.
Forget that annoying french guy, Ben is the man!
If I wanted to duck multiple tracks using one compressor.. could I put one on an aux? What would be the method for that?
WHAT other compressors does this outside of Pro tools & Ableton. more like Adobe Audition or Acid.
Dang, I spent $130 on an m-audio capture device and got Pro Tools SE which does not allow you to set up sidechain compression :( Guess ill have to remove it from my computer and buy pro-tools 8. It's too bad, the m-audio capture device is probably extremely cheap to make, I use audacity for the recording and I assumed most of the money was going into the software.
Wish the video wasn’t so blurry
not sure what you mean our video are in high quality, you can change the definition in settings and select 720 p ! hope this help
