Mirabel shades Mariano in 15 languages

Was just going through Encanto recently (for the nth time really!) and the moment this scene came, with the Colombian/Latin-styled music and the super passionate dialogue deliveries...eeyeah I knew Encanto, even if just for like a few minutes, was converted from a feature-length disney film to a spicy and dramatic telenovela XDD
Mirabel shades Mariano while coming back at Isabela in this confrontation in a pretty hilarious way. And it was not surprising to me when I saw this scene in other languages and their English translations that translators all around the world left NO STONE unturned to make the most out of this little dialogue of Mirabel to throw in their most creative shades!
I chose 15 of them which have some pretty hilarious dialogues, viz: -

Some translations, like the Indonesian, Italian and Spanish ones aren't literal and 'by the words' but more contextual and based on the 'perception' or 'energy' given by the words, hence they can be translated in MORE than one way and they all make sense. ;)
(also *NONE of them ACTUALLY swore!* The slightly rude words, wherever used, have been put in by taking suggestion of the people who translated these lines for me since that's the ENERGY Mirabel gives while delivering her dialogue in the respective language) ;)

No cause the Indonesian dub was 'pria besar bodoh', which literally word by word translation of "big dumb guy." Whoever gave you that translation just translated it to English in a non-literal way.
@@adibkmy yes, the person who gave me the translation did tell me that "big dumb guy" is the literal translation, but also stated that 'bodoh's' meaning can range anywhere from a simple 'dumb' or 'stupid' to a swear word like 'a**hole' depending on what context and with what energy is it uttered. "Mutton-headed" was not just one of the many creative ways in which 'bodoh' could be manifested but it also suits Mariano's character a lot (Mirabel implies that just like mutton, Mariano has a lot of 'body', but no head/brain) XDD
So yeah; what you say is correct literally, and the translation in the video is a more context-based and energy-based interpretation as I have already stated above. ^_^

That's the spanish one, literally translate it means "Your little boyfriend"

As the earlier coment said, the literal translation is "your little boyfriend"
"Noviecito" is the word "novio" (boyfriend) + the suffix "-iecito" which is a superlative suffix, meaning that it is the furthest of an end (the most)
-ito - ecito - iecito mean little (or littlest)
In Spanish for making a diminutive word you just add a diminutive suffix (listed above), BUT it can (and is) also used as a dismissive way of calling something, like in this example "Noviecito" is used in a disdainful way of referring to him.
Note: another suffix that can be used in this way (negative) is - ucho or - ucha, which is used in negative connotation an negative connotation only, but is also considered part of more "vulgar" or "colloquial" lexicon.

I'm pretty sure there's an insult hidden somewhere between "son" and "owl", but I can't quite pinpoint it
It isn't the literal translation
In South Asian culture, owls are considered dumb. So if you're calling someone a "son of an owl", you are calling someone who is stupid.
I can give a very long explanation for this as well ahah, but for now.....let's just say it is the Indian variant of the popular English phrase "son of a b**ch" 🤣 same energy!

Yep, in German, "Adonis" is very frequently used as an insult for men who are muscular and handsome, but also incredibly stupid. It's a pretty perfect ranslation for "big, dumb hunk" actually.

As a Spanish speaker, I can say that it is not 100% accurate, but still makes sense
If we would translate it more accurately, when Mirabel says "tu noviecito", it means in a literal way "your little boyfriend", but as an insult, trying to say that Mariano is like a crybaby
