- Pure Bolt damage Only Bloodborne Guide. How to beat Bloodborne by doing nothing but pure bolt damage. So no split damage like the tonitrus or from bolt gems that merely add bolt rather than changing all the damage into pure bolt damage.

You sound suspiciously like Ymfah, lol.
I know have an accent, but I didn't know I sound like comic sans in the bottom of the screen
It is stupid that when you add a bolt gem it doesn't give you the effect
@@PressContinue the Shadow isn't using a katana
@@PressContinue Goeiendag van Gent hé
Alternate title: bullying bosses with saw Cleaver and dealing *shockingly* high damage
That would be a pretty shocking tittle
Literally my first ng+ playthrough so fun
The sped up "Snake eaaaaater" on long ladders always kills me.
Please never stop it!
I think it's physically impossible for me to stop doing that
As shocked as I was about that 9:22 Shocked me even more, I was not Expecting a Fairy tail reference in a bloodborne video of all places, Let alone a reference to my favorite character
Also a tip: there is an executioner in forbidden woods next to where cathedral ward is. It gives you 4K echoes and you can grind to level up
better tip (if playing offline): farm the scholars in the lecture building. they're weak to both Bolt and Thrust, and are absurdly easy to kill on groups using the Tiny Tonitrus
@@Stephetheon Haha frames go DOWN.
Yeah chalice glyphs are a lot better
@@Stephetheon not really a better tip the glyph farm is the best way to get echos
@@kosh9019 you must have missed the (if playing offline) bit. kinda part of the tip
Fun fact: If you don't light any of the lamps in Forbidden Woods, you can still do Eileen's questline with the sequence break.
Awww shame that I wasn't aware of that :(
Great video!
Talking to Eileen first before entering the Forbidden Woods makes her quest not break.. ^.^
(fun fact: if not killing Amelia before run the Cainhurst Crow and Amelia will be together in the same room! A pretty crazy fight)
Damn, well one crow on my head is enough for one run I think
@@PressContinue hahah! You are not wrong :3
A bit easier is the version if you talk to eileen before the skip. Then she will appear with Amelia in the fight. While the crow version doesn't, the eileen version has friendly fire between the two, so they will damage each other.
@@Maeshup truee!
"We have O&S at home."
I went through with bolt damage once and was surprised at how much damage I was accomplishing, then I looked it up and found out how many bosses lacked resistances or were weak to it (even beyond the better known Rom weakness to it). It is worth a try!
Your sense of humour really tickles me. Very happy to see your views are trending up across your videos!
You had my like at the first pun. Fucking dad jokes always get me.
And I'm not even a dad
@@PressContinue you didn't make it very apparent
@@PressContinue You're not a dad YET. Time for a change!
That ending is art
I find it very ironic that in the bolt damage playthrough the last badge acquired was the spark badge
I'm always impressed how people torture themselfs for our entertainment. I mean it's not just playing the game but first coming up with ideas, writing skripts and editing and such... i don't even want to think about how many hours went into this o.o
Yeah, the playthrough itself is the easy part. And this is actually one of my least time consuming videos to make because it's much shorter than most of my other projects. My SL1 guide for DS2 for example had a production time of 5 weeks, and only 7 hours of which were recording the actual gameplay. So yeah, that's why I can't upload as often as I want.
I like these types of videos, keep making more! I want to watch blood souls games that have a bunch of humor with near in them so I’m not bored watching them
What a fucking amazing vid loved that montage at the end!
Very cool, I'd love seeing something similar with fire damage lol
I don’t know if that’d be easier, because of molotovs, or harder, because I’m pretty sure there is no fire equivalent to the tonitrus.
@@SorowFame at that point, it's a name your weapon sort of situation. ANY weapon that can take blood gems that use fire enchantments work. Saw cleaver and saw spear tend to be the most popular picks for it.
Alternatively, Boom hammer
@@NickKnackisB4ck you can do that with bolt too. Also the Boom Hammer comes off as too physical to me but I guess it’s the same as the Tonitrus
It's nice to hear that I'm not the only one who picks garbs based on whether or not the character's hair clips through the collar
I never wear the cainhurst knight set despite how fly it is for this reason. It doesn't help that I tend to make my character's hair candy color so the white stands out way too clearly.
I will absolutely do that today.. thx for the amazing idea and now lets watch :)
Just a FYI if you want to use Eileen in Gate Skip playthroughs; just avoid going back to the clinic. Going to Forbidden Woods is fine but the clinic will force the game to advance a "cycle" (which is by default is the same as killing Amelia), therefore causing Eileen to disappear.
Ah I see
@@PressContinue This is also how some players managed to do Amelia and the Bloody Crow of Cainhurst fight you at once.
Awesome work, we bow before the bolt damage. I did use some bolt damage in my arcane run but it was mostly fire tbh.
The One Reborn did spawn, but seemed to be immortal, I wailed on him for a long while, but the bell ladies weren't. The cutscene for him is different, the full moon is just kinda there above the bloodmoon and summoning void. Getting to him was rather annoying though as, the gate to the lower portions of the level was closed, and the only way I could find to progress was via death cam and to just run past him to the nightmare warp.
Oh that's interesting. So it's a bugged version of the boss. Makes sense
@@PressContinue Yea, he kinda just sat there doing nothing.
I had the same thing, but if you quit out of the fight and come back (death cam skip and all), walking through the fog wall will wake up The One Reborn and you can beat it normally.
I love after all these years people are still finding stuff like this 👍
I like this outro, literally rocks!
This was a really nice video! Thank you! Could you make a guide for top tier gem farming for all varieties of gems, like bolt, fire etc. That. Would be pretty time consuming but greatly appreciated by a lot of peoble!
Always shocked at the consistency and quality of your puns. Truly electrifying comedy
Well that was an interesting one, I enjoyed it none the less. Good work 👍
I love your videos man they're inspiring ,funny and make me want to go back to Bloodborne you're channel is so underrated
Thanks Jack :)
@@PressContinue No problem mate can't wait for the next video
that outro was fucking excellent, awesome video as always
always a top notch video 🔥
My first build in BB was a Arcane/Skill mix
Because i wanted to use the Moonlight and deal Elemental Damage
God damn, I fucking love your editing 🤘
Excellent work as always 🙂
"The Results may 'Shock' You!" 🤣🤣🤣
Your videos are informative and entertaining!!! 👍👍👍
ok, now thanks to you I want to break the game and see the One Reborn cutscene during night time
thanks
"I've got my eyes set on Henryk's gear."
(He said, having already broken the questline)
"Huh. Wonder where Eileen is?"
😞
@@PressContinue Enjoyed watching the video, mate. It was fun seeing some locations I'd visited in the Chalices (I've personally spent ages in the glyph that ends with "ayca" lmao), and following a sort of pacifist style run until you can farm the Silverbeast must've been irritating to no end. Thank you for putting yourself through this!
I learned and I laughed. Great video!
As soon as I saw you enter the Forbidden Woods early, I KNEW that anything Eileen-related you wanted to do was instantly cut off.
😞 such a shame
Love the video and you said you didn't know what build to do for ds1 remastered a few days ago and I would say if you could do a archer/bow build? that would be great I looked them up and couldn't find any under your channel you make some of the best videos for builds and guides
10:48 I almost didn't catch that at first, I knew there was a joke there but I lacked the insight. But after consuming some Mad Man's Knowledge and 3rd Umbilical Chords, Kos or as some say Kosm, granted me eyes on the inside and I couldn't stop laughing. This video had some good jokes but that one was gold Press.
Loved the Alfred reference. Nostalgia hit me like a truck :)
I like that you decided to throw on the shield cause why not.
"The results may shock you"
Facepalm apply directly to the forehead
I love ur Videos i have them always on my side when i self playing
The character's name is 10/10, hats off to you, man
GG Awesome run! :D
Not even a minute into it and we're already starting off with a pun. Nice
I keep finding more and more videos of people owning Rom with ease. It took me so long to kill the Shadows of Yharnam and then the hunter in the mansion, then Rom right after... Rom alone took me over a dozen tries. T_T
Well if you don't know how to avoid the meteor rain for example than Rom would definitely give you trouble
@@PressContinue I actually found that pretty easy to avoid. It was the little spiders that gave me trouble. I'm leveling arcane and used the tonitrus, which was great because they're all weak to bolt damage, but I didn't realize that getting Rom down below half health on the first phase would immediately put her into phase 3. XD So, she would summon 2 batches of spiderlings instead of 1. I'd avoid all the meteors only to get one-shot by spiderlings.
Loved the fairytail quote 10/10 video
At 15:30 in the dungeon glyph *3se6ayca* : the easiest method to farm those 2 knights is to stay atop the ladder, aggro them, wait for them to climb the ladder, charge an R2 to release it as soon as they step on the platform... which most of the times will throw them back down. Rinse and repeat. Fall damage should not be considered as invalidating in this run, imo.
Also, since you are allowed to use the Hunter's Dream and to level up in this run, why not use the glyph *cummmfpk* ? Getting the chalice from BSB and using it is the only requirement. Getting ~80.000 blood echoes in ~30-45 seconds (with no Moon runes) with no fighting required, is rather useful.
You have such amazing content! Real strategy, hilarious jokes, and holy crap do I love that montage clip at the end of this video!!! Gehrman on the drums made me laugh SO hard. 😅
Spetter pieter pater
Lekker in het water
Ga maar vast naar huis
Hij komt een druppel later
Came for the challenge, stayed for another banger by Bloody Band Aid
Aaalrighhttt waited for this one….
9:21 I appreciate the reference to Wendy from Fairy Tail. I should rewatch that anime.
23:12 found that out myself recently, was running an arcane build and got lightning gems from the summoners because I can’t be bothered gem farming in the chalices.
The moon presence playing bass is the funniest thing to me
I dont usually leave comments, but seeing gehrman on the drums actually made me laugh so hard i cried
This video is beautiful
Looks like a fun challenge!
Yeah it was. It's not a challenge run in the sense of difficulty obviously, but more about using ways to to work around things until you can actually start doing damage and then see how far you can take that.
@@PressContinue Yeah I'm pretty surprised it's possible at all. Was interesting to see how the sequence breaks affect things too.
Ok resume video after finding out who that crow is shocking great video
I think you should keep the long videos and I think these shorter 30mins one are amazing as well.
Well the thing is that the longer the video, the longer it takes to produce. I mean my SL1 guide for DS2 for example had a production time of 5 weeks.
Amazing!
Visceral attacks deal thrust damage as far as I'm aware, and if you get a backstab visceral with a thrusting weapon it boosts the visceral damage higher than it otherwise would be (basically only applies to the kirkhammer or other weapons which deal different damage types in transformed states)
Yes... but didn't I literally say that in the video itself?
@@PressContinue oh yeah you did, I meant to edit this after I watched further in the video and heard but then I forgot. My bad lol
If I'm correct the song he sped up is "Electric Eye" by Judas Preist
Thank you for the weird version of Electric Eye
Much shorter and watch-able. I hope your future videos will be like this as well. Banger video as usual.
Got a new sub for the pizza cat reference
Love that Judas Priest montage at the end
grant us fashion, grant us fashion... 👁
might as well make a guide on how to kill every boss with gravity at this point xD
Lol I do wish that a gravity only run was possible. Would be the most OP build in the game
Run idea: physical only run where not even the enemy is allowed to deal anything but physical. No elemental no blood and no poison dmg.
Well, this is a shock.
When you were farming those guys with the great swords for the radials you could have bought a hunters axe switched the gems over and charging R2 them off the ledge as they get to the top of the ladder that's what I always do
dude, i need to know what song that is in the ending montage.

Hahahahhahaha Alfred Jodocus Kwak, je Nederlandse references zijn awesome :')
hij vliegt hij waggelt en hij zwemt :)
Being a Fairy Tail fan and hearing "Sky Dragons Roar" just makes me happy
A fellow alfred jodocus kwak enjoyer i see
What is the name of the music at the end

Never played Bloodborne and yet watched it all and found it super entertaining! I love the souls series for the tank and shield classes so Bloodborne is not my cup of tea.
I mean, if you like "tanky" builds there is a Canon/morter and minigun in the game, so you can still pretend to be one of those cheep American tanks from WW2 and all the enemies are advanced panzers
I would pay big bucks to see the Bloody Band Aid live
God I love the fact that I get these dutch references xD
Man these traps were hard to avoid
That was a good recommendation youtube algorithm.
Good to hear that algorithm does something favorable for me for once :)
Eileen will head to the Amelia Boss room if you proceed into the forbidden woods(it may also be uncovering imposter Josephka I'm not sure exactly which one does it) too early. Because the game hits the trigger for you failing to help her with the Henryk fight after entering
Thumbs up for the Alfred J. Kwak referance.
ur vids are so fucking good. and that montage lmao IM ELECTRIC EEELECTRIC EYEEEEE
So, Dolf the Crow--Alfred Kwak's archenemy--fell on your head, trying to get you killed in Bloodborne? That's crazy...wanna know something even MORE crazy? The Alfred Kwak cartoon was actually animated by Japanese artists and the lead script writer's last name is MIYAZAKI (first name is Akira). I'm not kidding. 😅 Cool reference, though. Had to do my homework on that.
Surprised to see somehow outside of the Netherlands recognizing that. But yeah I know it was a Dutch/German/Japanese colab production, and there have actually been several dubs including an english one. So although it's a bit obscure, it is known in other countries.
@@PressContinue My wife is a native German. 😁 That's the only way I would know it.
@@moodybastard170 Aaaah I see
@@PressContinue Congrats on the 12k, too! Just saw that. 👍
12200 in fact :)
6:10 I hate how I instantly knew which crow you were talking about
The band is peak 🙏
Yahargul in midnight phase is a sight I never thought I'd see
You can even see it during dusk if you skip Amelia, kill Rom, BSB and then go to Hypogean Gaol. It'll have no enemies all the same.
If you go to The One Reborn during night time, you'll see two moons during the cutscene too.
Extra fun fact, the moons during all phases are actually 3D models, huge ones, and they're much closer than you'd expect.
Bro I’m Dutch and I didn’t even get that crow reference
Really good video btw, fun stuff
Let me guess, you are 25 or younger?
@@PressContinue yup
I thought as much. Alfred J. Kwak was a cartoon from the 90s, so you've probably never seen it.
I didn’t know how much I needed a bloodborne cover of electric eye. Genius!
Love the reference of fairy tail
Wendy using sky dragon roar😍😋😊
6:31 the biggest cheese I've ever seen in anything ever, seriously I could taste the cheddar
Aah the sweet cheese... it sings to me
"everyone calls him the tonitrus shadow"
i've always called him the mage
God doing Cainhurst on a no Hunters Dream run was the absolute worst.
Couldn't tell if it was a joke that went over my head but the Iosefka at the beginning IS the real Iosefka, she gets replaced midway through the game by the imposter, which is when she starts encouraging you to bring people to her
I guess I did went over your head then. The point is that by doing the gate skip, you can get the real one and the imposter there at the same time. The imposter standing menacingly on the table and the real one in front of the door. However, given that you never get a good look of the real Iosefka, they simply chose to use the same character model for both characters. That's what the joke was about, that is it's a really convincing imposter since she looks so alike
Where did you find the white church garb?
It's the roof of the first building you encounter when entering the the woods via the clinic shortcut
Not only eye rune, you also need 99 insights
What do I do if I don’t have the online mode.
Well then you can't get those chalice gems and you're pretty much stuck with that one crappy gem. The only bolt gem you can find in the game (as far as I know at least) is in yahar guhl in the room behind the first staircase
Is that the As I Lay Dying version of Electric Eye...nice
One of my favorite bands, right up there with Trivium. An Ocean Between Us, The Powerless Rise, Awakened, really sick albums, their cover of War Ensemble is killer too.
Can you beat Dark souls 1 2 3 BloodBorne and eldenring what bosses are most resistant too that's mean the worst damage type
