- Hello everyone, thank you so much for stopping by my small corner of the internet. In today's episode, I share all the things that I cast on... pretty much towards the end of the 2022. These include a hat, a sweater, and shawl... sounds like the start of a joke, no? There's also a small nod to weaving and a bit o'natter at the end for a small weaving WIP, I've got on the loom.
As always you can find me on social media below:

👋🏽Hi Naomi! So good to see you. Beautiful hat and progress! The weaving is gorgeous! Please take care. 🤗🙏🏽
Hey Priscilla!! Thank you so much!! 💖
Beautiful babies 😍 your work is stunning as always 💖🫂
Thank you, love!! 💖😘
I’m using Cascade Pacific Sport, in Black, and using a Zauerball for the contrast.
Hey girl heyy!
Definitely can't see any difference in your chainmail jumper to the lady knights, it's uncanny!! It looks fab though. Sorry to hear your sad news, January sounds like it sucked balls. I hope it'll get better soon, Iceland to look forward to! I demand pics of lady knights and Primroses doing battle under the northern lights!!
LOL, I think we can make that epic duel happen! ⚔️
My condolences to your family on your aunt’s passing. It sounds like you had a really full-on month! Also, good luck with your pollinator garden. I’ve slowly been filling my garden with bee-friendly plants and this summer we’ve had loads of bees and butterflies visit, which has been amazing.
I hope you continue to get all the pollinators!! I love sitting out there and watching them. 💖
It's nice to see you. I'm sorry things have been so chaotic for you. I hope it settles down soon and you can rest and grieve at your leisure. I can see how a very complex project is a good distraction. I can't wait to see the results of your gardening activity!
Thank you for all the kind words! Life comes in waves. And we’re getting some buds on one of the tomato plants! Can’t wait!
Nice to hear about your intarsia. I just finished 2 little Tiger Pullovers. Very cute but my intarsia looks awful inside. I had to use acrylic for the little boys, and I don't think that helped.
Oh I’m sure those are super cute!! I really don’t find intarsia to be that hard, but it’s def fiddly and you have to be in the right mood to manage all the yarn 😵💫🫠
The Scout Shawl is such a beautiful pattern. You'll be an expert in intarsia by the end! Have a wonderful trip to Iceland!
Thanks Nikki!!! It’s gonna be a ton of fun!
I LOVE that bobbin idea! I have an intarsia project coming up and I’m definitely going to be using this technique. Thank you for sharing❤
Anytime!! I was like, there has to be something out there that I can use and not spend $$$ on 😂
The chain mail sweater is going to be perfect for Iceland. I didn’t really understand what you did for the raglan increases but it looks great! The weaving looks beautiful! I wish I could get motivated to pull out my loom. I like the pressed flowers and the yarn combo. I think it could look good with the background and foreground colors flipped but either way would look good. Most of the samples I’ve seen in shops are made with sheepy yarn.
Yea, Zoe said I should go up a needle size and see if that helps it feel less dense.
Your cozy hoodie is gorgeous!! Dude I also had a hard time with some of the directions in the pattern so it isn’t just you!
Thank you!! I know somethings were lost in translation, but some of it was genuinely me being brain dead. Let me tell you, I was salty when I hit the CC buttons on her YT tutorials and they didn’t translate to English 😂.
Oh man I’m with you on brain space. I started two sweaters and I abandoned both. I’m barely doing socks right now.
I think your hoodie will be fabulous!
It’s so cozy!!! I can’t wait to cuddle up in it. And let’s petition our brains to give us back our brain power 🤣
@@yarncurator that’s an excellent idea. 😋
I started the pressed flowers shawl. Silly me I didn’t realise the pattern was completely charted. I did as much as you have then went yikes. I think all patterns should have complete written instructions. We pay a lot for these patterns. That’s my wee grizzle. My bad though cause I didn’t read the instructions
Yea! I really want to restart it in different yarns, for whatever reason it’s just not doing it for me.
