Hey, how are you doing?
After a long time, probably more than 2 years, I finally made some new designs and created this new cutting-board video.
In this video, you can see which techniques I used to produce high-quality cutting boards.
Even if you don't have machinery like I do you can still make high-quality cutting boards it only takes more time and work.
I have lots of design ideas regarding cutting board design I only lack free time. All of my boards are based mostly on angled designs. More commentary knows by the diamond pattern. I started with these designs around 5-6 years ago and they became quite popular with other creators.
I also made PDF plans for all kinds of patterns and they can be found in my store if anyone is interested.
These cutting boards are made from contrasting wood. Mostly walnut, maple, oak, ash, and some exotics like zebrawood. And what I like about these designs is that are very quickly made. No need for multiple days of pre-gluing stock.
And I made that Tic-Tac-Toe cutting board just for fun.
No CNC was used, it's hand made and you can make it too. It just takes some time to do it by hand router.
I decided to start making videos more regularly so you can expect at least 1-2 quality videos per month.
For the upcoming video, I'm making something really cool: wood, mirrored glass, and epoxy.
It will be a video built + product review since I received a really awesome laser to review from Xtool. The video will be uploaded really soon.
It would be already if I wouldn't catch covid again which set me back for about 14 days.
I hope you like this latest video and if so hit the like button and share it with your friends. Help me get it out there.
Also, visit my shop on Etsy and a private one, maybe you'll find something interesting for you too.
Thank you for your kind words and support it means a lot.
E for sure! But really the whole video! Best cutting board video I've seen so far..."for those that say it's too beautiful to cut on" 🤣🤣🤣
I'm glad you like it buddy. And that you "get" the ending too cheers 🥂

Same goes for you. Greetings from tiny country under the Alps
If you use a round over bit on edge of end grain it will not splinter when running thru planer. rounded edge in back of the board

I was wondering if you are going to post the plans for the latest set of boards. Your comments indicated they were posted in your store but I don't see them. I really enjoy your work and attention to detail.
Thank you Bill.
Will return to UA-cam soon.
I had plans available but due to some highly unexperienced buyers who thought boards bulit themselves, I got negative rating which affected my store. So I decided to remove them.
Once I'll have them on my own store I'll upload.
The wood primarily used in board B is stunning!
Overall design pattern of D is tops! Don't get me wrong they're all gorgeous!

The more you make them the better you'll be. Is that simple. Thank you for your feedback
Whoever hits his knife into his board like that should actually be punished
I agree
Love the knife holders showed at the very beginning of the video. Do you have a video on their making? How do you hide the magnets? Where did you find the metal stand?
Thanks.
This stands are designed and produced in my shop. It's my product which I sell. Can't reveal all trade secrets sorry.
At 0:34 what is the wood with the name crossed out, between ash and walnut?
Super nice boards by the way!
B for the win!
Have ever thought of teaching a class on how to build cutting boards?
I did but i do so many stuff already its hard to find time for all.
Cheers

Where do you get the posts for your knife holders?
Video of the knife blocks you make
Is there a formula that will calculate the needed length of milled stock to achieve the desired finished cutting board based on the the thickness desired as an end product?
Thickness of the stock + number of chrosscut pices determines the final length

"Watch out you may learn something." Please. The boards are beautiful. But It would be nice if you learned how to make an instructional video. You have printed words showing up randomly from the top left, bottom right, bottom, top, whatever. We are supposed to read all of this and pay attention to the construction. This is constructive criticism, no one is going to learn anything except how not to make a video. You want a million views? Slow down and teach us something, rather than making us watch the video 10 times to decipher exactly what you are doing Again you make great boards with a great amount of skill. Now learn how to make great videos with a great amount of skill. Become a great teacher. If language is the problem just slow down. Again, beautiful boards. I'm going to subscribe because your talent should be cultivated.
Thanks for feedback making video that you just saw took me around 12 days of filming between the work in my shop stitched together from aprox 200 video clips and to make it watchable, editing, Thumbail and meta data another 30-40 hrs continuous work. Doing voice over that's 1/2 additional work. And I do that for free. For all of you there. Anyway i have videos with millions of views too with same practices.
Go watch my other cutting board videos you'll learn something for sure. Cheers
