American Triscuits! That's right, we've tried some American crackers before but this time round, we're trying nothin' but Triscuits, along with some 'California Dip' to go with it. We sat our lovely Irish people and said "whatcha think of these treats, ya jabronis?" and now it's time to see what they thought!

"Sitting at home, watching TV, and your cupboards are bare, all you've got is some roasted tomato triscuits..." -- yeah, that pretty much nails it down quite nicely.
I love that flavor with cheddar cheese... Great snack
Garden veggie cream cheese, and Tomato & Olive Oil Triscuits. For if you don't have summer sausage, or sharp cheddar.
"It actually smells like sour cream and onion."
Oh Pagan, you're so adorable!
Yes She Is
That was one of my blondest moments on Try 😂. But thank you
In my neck of the woods we would say Bless Her Heart
We don’t want her fired!
Oh look, a bunch of Pagan worshipers. Lol! Jk.
You may have done this, but the sour cream and onion soup mix dip is best if you let it sit a few hours in the fridge after making it. It allows for the flavors to more fully develop, and the dried onion flakes in the soup mix have a chance to re-hydrate.
You can also buy a GOOD french onion dip from the dairy cooler at the market. Already made!
Avoid the chip aisle non refrigerated version at all costs. It tastes like poo, and god only knows what is in it to make it last forever...
You are so right
This guy dips
And, it looked like there was way to much powdered onion mix in the sour cream container.
This is all correct, except you shouldn't use sour cream, you should use reduced cream, and maggi onion soupmix if you can find it.
I'm Canadian and I grew up eating Triscuits. They're great with homemade hummus, or a slice of Brie, or a slice of garlic dill pickle or dipped in vodka and sprinkled with a few powdered Percocets!
Same Here The Jalapeño n The Dill Flavors Are Good
Well that escalated quickly, and I'm going to need the recipe for the next family get together.
I love Triscuits. But everything is great dipped in vodka and sprinkled with percocets.

ftfy You’re welcome
Also cheese and sausage; that's how most people eat them in the states. Idk what other people call it, but I personally call it "working class charcuterie" -- salami or summer sausage, some cheddar or mozzarella or cream cheese, some sort of pickle like dill pickles or jalapenos or pepperoncini or olives, maybe some sliced tomato or cucumber. Essentially just a handful of random things from the fridge and put on a plate with Triscuits lol.
Home alone, watching a favorite television show, a new box of regular triscuit, and a block of sharp cheddar cheese matched with your favorite drink.
And the box will be gone by the end of the show or movie.
My life during the VHS days in my 20s.😊
Triscuits are best with some cheese on top instead of just dipping them
Especially the cheese in a spray can!
And/or summer sausage
Yup. You need cheese squares so you feel fancy. I also like them with a flavored cream cheese.
And a slice of tomato.
With a thin slice of fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomato is my absolute favorite.
Noooooooo you needed to try the cracked black pepper Triscuits. They are the absolute BOMB.
Yes! The Cracked black pepper and Olive oil flavor are my favorite by far!
Absolutely my favorite flavor
Triscuit and hummus is fire!
sun dried tomato hummus on that garlic triscuit 😋😋😋
OMG! I just found two more best friends for life! Fire roasted tomato triscuits with red pepper hummus!
didn't you cringe typing "fire"? we cringed reading it ... don't be such a lemming
@@BoSmith7045 friends for life?? wow, so, so needy
roasted garlic with thinly sliced cheddar cheese is my goto snack
To simulate my 10 year old self while you eat Triscuits: grab a port wine cheese spread, pour a glass of Jolt Cola, turn on the X-Files, and scream at a younger sibling that you have next on the landline.
I miss jolt now
Ah yes! My childhood!!❤
Port Wine cheese, I have that on club crackers. Yum!
So you where that shadow in my family room!😂
@@cwswriterOh yeah - all the sugar and twice the caffeine!!
I can't believe you made them eat those without a drink
Triscuits spread with chive & onion cream cheese....chef's kiss!! Pagan's laugh is fantastic. 😊
Thank you 🙏
Sour cream and onion dip goes well with potato chips and raw veggies. Triscuits go with cheese and pepperoni.
Darren’s been the MVP lately!
MVT: Massively Viewable Tryer
American here. I have eaten Triscuits since I was a kid, but NEVER have I ever eaten them with that homemade "onion dip".
Plain triscuits are fantastic topped with tuna salad.
My dad would always top them with a swipe of mayo and a slice of a hard boiled egg.
Same here. Never with dip. Cheese, tuna or pimento cheese on these babies are wonderful.
Yea I prefer on their own ( Basalmic triscuit's are my go to ) and just eat like 6 crackers a day for a snack ..
Tuna salad sounds awesome as a topping ...
California Dip--staple at our family get togethers--delicious. Triscuits generally require cheese.
They don't "require" cheese. I eat them plain.
but you can tell they never made it the night before.
@@englishatheart When I need something crunchy to snack on, next to my computer is Triscuits, tortilla chips, and granola.
@@englishatheart Good for you--I said "generally require."
Triscuits are a great base for so many things, cheeses, meats, dips or spreads. They are even great with thick hearty soups.
In California we just call that onion dip and it's best if you mix it and then let it sit in the fridge over night.
Good thing California is also in 2024 & not a new product on the market..
@@vnyanforj What does that even mean in relevance to the comment or video?
@@wumpscutx1 Read it again until you understand 😉
@vnyanforj or try speaking in coherent sentences instead of nonsense that looks like it's been through a shitty language translater.
@@wumpscutx1 Awwwwww you sad that you have no ability for complex thought? Boo hoo 😂🤣
Triscuit comes from "Electricity Biscuit," because if I recall, they were originally cooked with the electric output of the Niagara Falls electric turbines.
The roasted tomato and olive oil, set out on a cookie sheet with a slice of really good sharp cheddar on each one, and placed under a broiler until the cheese starts to caramelize. Heaven.
I love Triscuits. I've only had sour cream and Lipton's onion soup mix as a dip for chips. I've never had the dip with anything else before.
Yes, crackers and "sauce" . . . revolting!
the dip is great with veggies
Triscuts are best with cheese & sausages. Charcuterie time guys!!! ❤❤❤
When I lived in the US, I LOVED Triscuits as a hangover food, so I agree with Darren.
Right even the plain was moreish
Triscuits and manchego. Nailed it!
Gotta try the Smoke Gouda Triscuits!! They are true best ones
I would be on board with those, sounds good.
They are the best!!!
Cheese and pepperonis are the best way to enjoy Triscuits.
100% ... one slice of pepperoni and a square of cheddar cheese, the sharper the better.
Gotta be the Roasted Garlic ones though. I will just eat that for lunch, my fancy lunchable. LOL.
correction - cheese and salami are the best way to TOLERATE Triscuits. I've hated them since the 60s.
Cheese and pepperoni, nuked in the microwave
Hell yeah, the ez 90's snack.
Triscuits are their best with a slice of cheese, like a sharp cheddar, Gouda, or brie. So good!
Howdy Try Gang!! The secret to Lipton's Onion is only using a partial package of the dry soup package to a full pint of sour cream!! It's to overpowering to use an entire package with such a small sour cream container!! Big bear hugs from Kenny in Ohio USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if they were all gassy later
No. Just no.
i've always mixed 1 packet with 2 tubs of sour cream (1 quart) and let it sit overnight in the fridge after mixing. i also like to add some granulated garlic powder to the mix, gives it a bit of a kick.
I did sort of wonder if it had been mixed a bit off proportion haha. Less is more with powdered dip mixes.
Need whole pk
I'm snacking on the tomato and olive oil Triscuits right now. They're SOOOO good!
They are my favorite! The Aldi knock off is too!
It's always a great Try program when Blaithin is there!! I do love me some Bla!
THAt, right there ladies, gents and TRYers, IS the ORIGINAL Sour Cream and Onion dip/flavor. Originally meant to go along with potato crisps. Chips as we call in the US.
pagan and padraig are so funny together 😭
❤
Instant Pagan and Padraig energy! 💗
Literally love his energy 🎉
Roasted garlic triscuits with cream cheese and smoked oysters is my favorite snack❤
Floridian here - Original Triscuits with sharp aged cheddar cheese is my comfort snack!
Triscuits with cheese & beer. Best combo!
4:29 "Colin's Special Sauce" lmao
I know! If i hadn' t loved Grainne before, i would now, lol.
Triscuits hold up incredibly well in the oven. Throw some sliced cheddar of them and maybe an olive in the oven, put it on broil for a couple of minutes, and then enjoy.
Pagan was hilarious! Did she say, "Now we're sucking diesel"?
I believe it's a moderately common vehicle-related expression - kind of like "firing on all cylinders"
Yes 😅
Triscuts with a dab of chicken salad, tuna salad, or a slice of cheese is heaven. It's casual canapes.
Ive never had triscuits with sour cream dip. From America. I always had them with a soft sharp cheese
I like the original with Red Leicester cheese, and my late husband liked the rosemary and olive oil with salmon dip.
I love the Balsamic Vinegar & Basil flavor.
Lipton onion mix with sour cream and Ruffles.
I grew up on that snack.
The dip goes well on hotdogs too.
Ooooh
Pagan is probably my favorite addition to the try channel in years. She's always just so much fun!
Thank you! ❤
Cream cheese on triscuits with a bit of red pepper Jelly. Yummers.😍
yes yes yes!!
Damn. I’m going to have to try that.
Hello Try Channel folks from Kalamazoo, Michigan USA, plain Triscuits are the best
I like the roasted garlic Triscuit & the plain
Kazoo native here! 👋 from Rhody
Hi Kalamazoo, from a WMU grad!
@@rachelraimi19 me, too!
@@rachelraimi19 My eldest Great Nephew just graduated from there
I eat mine with Polish sausage and a little dab of mustard.
American here, we in are house hold eat are Triscuits with meat an cheese or Tuna fish salad spread. My favorite is with Cream Cheese an Smoked Salmon topped with thinly sliced Chives...Omg straight fire...
Just love Pagan..the sour cream and onion comment had me laughing as hard as when she found out pickles are cucumbers 🤣 love all you guys
Thank you ❤
Triscuits are so fine with anything dip, canape or charcuterie related, but the fire roasted tomato ones are surprisingly delicious with a light slathering of whipped honey. The sweet and salty will send ya! Thanks for a fun week's wrap-up everyone
I love the roasted garlic and the smoked gouda flavors of Triscuits. I have them with hummus for dinner or even by themselves often.
Well, it's official. I'm in love with Pagan. It's the laugh.
😂
Must be nice to "fall in love" that easily.
Welcome to the club.
She's wonderful
Welcome to the world of exotic American food: Triscuits and onion soup dip.
One of my blondest moments on TRY 😅
Pagan is hands down one of the most infectiously wonderful souls on this planet. Protect her at all costs.
@@savysav4 haha thank you
@@savysav4.. you're talking to the *actual*person 😂
Sitting at my desk with an empty box of Roasted Garlic Triscuits. LOL.
Although I have not seen them in a while, triscuit made a rye flavor that was just out of this world!
Triscuits go quite well with a cheeseball, a spreadable hors d'oeuvre that first appeared in the US in the 1940s and has seen a resurgence in the 2010s.
And who doesn't love a good cheese ball!? 😉
Triscuits are proof that we live in a good and just world.
Oh, they needed the Cracked pepper and Olive oil Tricuits to try also. They are my favorite!
So good seeing Pagan back 😀
Love love love Triscuits. I once lived on Triscuits and Sprite for 6 months.
Triscuits with some Colby Jack cheese and summer sausage 🤤
Blaithin's laugh, always there to pick me up when i need it most
I think it's only in the triangle ones (thin crisps or something like that) Quatro Formagio is my favorite Triscuit flavor.
Yes, thin crisps
Pagan's one liners were on fire 🔥
Thank you! 😊
She’s the best!!
Awww… you didn’t try my favorite flavor, the smoked Gouda. Yummy. I think you guys would have enjoyed that one, too.
the fire roasted tomato is SO good with soup
Pagan and Padraig starting the laugh fest early... Yay 😊 Great one guys!
tryscuits.
Top comment of 2024. I'm calling it here.
The smoked gouda flavor would blow your mind guys
The way Padraig says, "Stop now, don't twist my arm!" Will forever live rent free in my head😂
pagan is a real sweetheart i like her humor it makes me happy if i watch the try channel
Plain Triscuit with strawberry jam, Try it.
Triscuits also go well with hummus, or queso (cheese dip). I have to be careful not to keep too many of these in the pantry, because I can easily plow through a whole box of the roasted-garlic Triscuits paired with a container of Sabra "supremely spicy" hummus in one sitting. 😋
My favorite snack the fire roasted tomato triscuits with red pepper hummus. If someone gave me that for Christmas I would be happy.
Roasted tomato and olive oil triscuits with red pepper hummus is one of my favorite snacks to have
I love my delicious wicker chair treats (◡‿◡✿)
I just commented the same thing before seeing you comment. Dry-a+, wicked chair. 😂😂😂
They aren't wicker, but you have the right idea.
They are made with the stalks of wheat. They didn't want them going to waste so they weave them together and bake them.
If you let them set for too long, the moth eggs in the stalks will hatch.
Dad wants to know where the cheddar or monterey jack cheese was? Triscuits are great with cheese.
With cheese and salsa, like nachos
The one who Sings makes my Heart skip a beat ❤❤❤❤❤
Triscuit pizza yummy. Mozzarella a little tomato sauce pepperonis heat in toaster oven to melt. Or...any cheese, shredded chicken or anything you like!
Try the og triscuit with some cream cheese :D
Padraig and Pagan took this shoot.
High point was when Padraig was trying to talk sense to Pagan while she was laughing her guts out.
By the way how do you bite the head off Rosemary? It's a BUSH.
No offense to the other pairs but Pagan and Padraig are becoming my favorite duo. Excellent work👏
As a Canadian I frickin love triscuits! I'll have the Original just plain by themselves, or with cheese or peanut butter.
Did they not give them a beverage???? You NEED something to drink with triscuits!
I never would have thought someone wouldn’t have heard of Triscuits. Bubble burst.
Well, they are isolated on their own little island...:)
My favourite parts of the video: 1. Darren: "I took, I'd say, about 1/3 as much as you and that was much too much, 2. Padraig: "is it the strongest flavour in the world? no, does this need the strongest flavour in the world to be edible? yes. Try Channel's accuracy is amazing.
Spinach and artichoke dip + triscuits = excellence!
I often indulge in this but the Jalapeno Artichoke dip. So good!
@@Corntassels Agreed!
The widely available sour cream and onion flavor of potato chips was actually directly inspired by this dip concoction. I don't know if that's any consolation for Pagan.
Thank you 😂
Toast them in the oven with a cheese and minced bacon topping.
Pagan's laugh gives me life
😊
I ate these growing up but we didn't use dip. That was used for potato chips like Ruffles. We put cheese slices or cheese spread and maybe a slice of summer sausage with it. Dips were made for chips.
Eat with cheese. I would not eat with the "California Dip." Haven't had that since the 90's. 😂 Rosemary and olive oil are the best!
'90s. The apostrophe doesn't come before the "s." 😛
They're still experimenting on the quadriscuit.
Plain Triscuits topped with cheddar cheese and green olives, and broil until the cheese melts YUM!
My favorite toppings is natural mild cheddar cheese and a thin slice of pepperoni. And yes, Trisket does pair well with beer.
I might be pretty basic, but my favourite way to eat plain Triscuits, is to put sliced old cheddar cheese on top, and top with a slice of tomato with salt and pepper. Put them in the microwave until melted.
Yeah! Triscuits are not for dipping in sour cream and onion dip. They aren’t really for dipping in anything. They are for eating with cheese and salami stacked on top.
I:be also seen people use them to make a nacho-like treat in place of tortilla chips. Spinkle shredded cheese over them, and place under a broiler until the cheese melts and just begins to brown. YUMMMY. ( Imagine me saying that with my mouth full of them, and crumbs flying out. Thats how good.)
AKA: Flavorful wicker furniture. LOL My grandmother always had these on hand.
