Your Cornetto is called a drumstick in America and they come with chocolate in the middle fudge in the middle or caramel in the middle

Cornetto, we call them Drumsticks here.
In Australia, we have both Cornettos AND Drumsticks. They're made by two different brands.
No drum sticks have the chocolate shell. That's more like a king cone
Around here we call them Nutty Buddies.
Aldi make some roses with chocolate cones, chocolate inside. True, they're "dairy desserts", but the hazelnut ones are good. $4/box

I don't think we have anything like Loop-de-loops in the US though. At least I've never seen it.
And we don't have the one that they call 99, which has a piece of wafer cookie stuck into the top of it
Shrinkflation hitting ice cream bars as it's hit everything else.
Normally i would complain however americas adult obesity rate is around 40% so i don't care if they make unhealthy things smaller and more expensive. Nice for the occasional treat.

Graeme was in rare form; I was laughing so hard I was crying! For some reason he reminds me of Gerard Butler (with a much more lively personality). Those Loop De Loop bars look yummy; I wish we had those in the US.
The strawberry shortcake bar (Brunch), ice cream sandwich (can't remember what you called that one), and the drumstick (Coronetta) were all things we have in the US, but the Loop de loop isn't like anything I've had before. And the ice cream sandwiches are usually both cheapest and the ones left when everything else is gone over here.
Yeah, but ice cream sammiches get worse, the more expensive they get. Madagascar vanilla and frappucino swirl ice cream between 2 salted caramel wafercrisps is a *terrible* ice cream sammich.
If its not cool whip between 2 soggy oreos, wrapped in barely waxed paper in a nondescript offbrand box with the bare minimum of graphic design, its a bad ice cream sandwich. Period.
@@VolyrenI'm going to change your life here. Look for some ice cream sandwiches called Nightingale. My favorite so far was apple pie. Apple pie flavored ice cream, about 50% thicker than a usual ice cream sandwich, and the bread parts were two soft brown sugar cookies in rectangle shapes. They have traditional flavor, red velvet flavor, chocolate midnight, strawberry cheesecake flavors as well as key lime and others, but I'm the ones I have tried so far, apple pie rules!
I advise sharing one with someone because they are about 500 calories each
The original sandwich is my favorite, place it on a plate and microwave it for 20sec and it’s soooo yummy owo
@@LindaC616 and those might be good. But I know they're bad ice cream sandwiches. Just like I know helicopters are bad cieling fans. Sure, the breeze is supersized, but you're deaf(and possibly decapitated.). You just wanted to cool off.
A fioe gras and rare wagyu steak sandwich on 2,000 layer butter croissant bread with black truffle aoili and microgreens is *not* a big mac.
Ice cream sammiches have 2 flavors, no more, no less. White, and pink-white-brown.
Sadly, the pink-white-brown species is endangered, so its getting harder to find them in the wild.
They're the shiny pokemon of ice cream sammiches.
@@davidray6962 Drumsticks and Cornettos are different icecreams. That'd be like if some place didn't have Coke but did have Pepsi and then someone said "we call it Pepsi here". They're not the same thing!
We have all of those in the US (except the loop the loop) under different names.
Graeme's voice is amazing. He sounds like he is going to tell me he has a particular set of skills.
That strawberry brunch looks very similar to a Good Humor strawberry Eclair bar.

I live in Hell formerly known as Phoenix, AZ. our current temp is 116F or 46.6C and will remain at that temp for at least the next 7 days. Our low will be 90F or 32.2C Thanks for the cool down heading into the weekend.

I am at a point where I need to pick out where in the country I want to retire to. I have been weather spoiled here on the East Coast for the last 25 years. As much as my asthma would love being in the desert, the thought of what you are experiencing, coupled with water shortages, keeps me from thinking about it. That, and having had a mugger break my jaw in Tempe in 1998....

Hi Linda,
Sorry to hear about your assault Tempe is a rowdy college town but, that unfortunately could happen just about anywhere.
I think that if you did your homework ( water availability, land prices, taxes , medical availability and food supply availability) I would look for an elevation of about 5000 ft to help buffer you from extreme heat and cold weather.
You can still get wide weather fluctuations but, not to extreme ( today anyway )
The valley is so big and spread out that the heat is concentrated so much that we have a heat chimney effect that prevents our summer monsoon rains from penetrating into the Central Valley.

I still love that they get something other than alcohol. Y’all need some classic American ice creams. Do y’all have king cones there? That was my favorite growing up.
Most of those ARE classic American ice creams that have been recreated in Ireland and other countries under different names. There's certainly other classics, although I don't know if any of them are available in Ireland, like Creamsicles, Fudgesicles, push-ups (not sure if those still exist), and cookie ice cream sandwiches.

The bar you call brunch is called a strawberry shortcake bar in the US. It was invented by the good humor company. The icecream sandwich was believed to be created in NY, The cones are called Nutty Buddys and created in Massachusetts. Just an FYI
In 1963 HB Rathfarnham factory, Ireland, launched Brunch. It was a strawberry and vanilla ice cream bar on a stick covered in tiny bits of coloured broken biscuits. The company was later bought by Unilever (Good Humor/Wall's). Cornetto was born in 1959, in Naples, Italy. It is also part of Good humor/Wall's.

In Canada we have an ice cream called Drumstick that is very much like a Cornetto but it also has more crushed peanuts on top, along with the chocolate. There's another version that has a lump of caramel (Ah, Caramel!) inside the ice cream. Sadly, no one named a movie trilogy after Drumstick.
Once in a while i see a variety box with vanilla chocolate and caramel.

In the US, we have never had anything like the Loop the Loop, but the rest all went by a different name here. In order, Strawberry Shortcake, Ice Cream Sandwich, and Drumstick. But I heard that you had to go to a store to buy these?! You have no such thing as the Ice Cream Man?! My heart truly goes out to you!

Here in the US, we have " ice cream sandwiches" with three flavors of ice cream. You could also purchase ice cream by the half gallon, or 1.8 liter carton, and the triple flavor is called neopolitan. My favorite ice cream on a stick was a "sidewalk sundae", it was hard chocolate coating outside with vanilla and chocolate fudge in the center.

Im gonna correct the Americans in the audience: The Cornetto is actually called a "King Cone" here. The "Drumstick" is similar but the top is spherical and completely coated in chocolate and peanuts.

I’m absolutely addicted to the strawberry shortcake bars. I’ve made an ice cream cake with vanilla ice cream topped with crushed golden Oreos mixed with crushed freeze dried strawberries. It’s out of this world.
