I'm an atheist living in Florida.
When almost anyone heard I'm not a Christian I am instantly a Satan worshiper.
Then I say, no I don't believe in religion as it has no evidence to support their claims and the bible itself doesn't count.
It's unverifiable and therefore not substantial as to the assertions made by believers.
But this is the retirement capital of the world, all the elderly indoctrinated persons come here to vote, like they're going to be here long enough to see some sort of change when they're clinging to antiquated ideas based off prebronze age idiots stories for illiterate people with no education.

To be honest, he doesn't necessarily have to convince the tiny atheist community in Texas, he has to convince the christian majority to vote for him.
This is my first time watching one of your videos in years. I've still been an atheist, but the anti-feminism and idiots like Thunderfoot and TAA in the community actually drove me out. I remember seeing that video you posted years ago. I thought it was perfectly valid but fellow atheists let me down by being embarrassingly reactionary. I wonder if the community has gotten any better in recent years.

Yes Disappointed Turtle they are, and their left wing, known as the #DNC, is just as bad but not quite as much like the Siths because they don't openly flaunt their lust for power but instead try to disguise it any way they can. Note though, I'm not talking about voters who identify with either party and I'm not saying the Democrat politicians on average are as bad as the Republican ones. Many politicians fall for the facade and run under the Democratic party with good intentions, but find that if they're not willing to cater to the plutocracy that pulls the DNC's puppet strings they can't beat other Democrats in the primaries or Republicans in an actual election. What we need to do is fight for the option to vote DIRECTLY AGAINST any candidate in any election, in order to stop this corrupt mess.

I recommend to look up prof. Richard Wolff and listen to his talks about Worker Co-ops. You won't regret it. Many of the problems we see today like the massive amount of wealth inequality are because there is no democracy in the workplace. I know it sounds far-fetched for each worker to have a say on what goes on inside of an enterprise, but without a radical reorganization of the workplace the reforms like the ones F.D.R. passed and what Bernie advocates for will be rolled back over time and we will have to start all over again like we are doing right now.

First time they rang my doorbell, I tried being moderately polite. The second time I was neither polite nor rude but thought I made it obvious enough that their presence annoyed me. The third time I decided to be blunt. "Since you can't seem to take a hint I'll just go ahead and say it: Fuck off and never sully my doorbell again." That was years ago and there hasn't been a fourth visit. Honesty truly is the best policy.

Mick, that is the beauty of a democracy rather than a theocrazy (spelling intentional), we are actually allowed different points of views and opinions. My reason for wanting to vote for him has nothing to do with his religious views, it is purely to stop (and try to reverse) what has been done to the local education system there.

Hey, @AronRah, I am new to atheism and refuse to use the term agnostic to define my new viewpoints. I was raised a mixture of baptist and catholic - grandparents baptist, I was baptised Roman Catholic.
I started watching your videos a week ago, shortly after learning that while I professed a "belief" in God, science and studying the world around me is too alluring to simply give up for faith. I wanted say all this to tell you that I respect the work you do for the sciences and the knowledge. If somehow this comment gets to you, just know that you sir are on the right side of history. And have good reach among sane Americans and hopefully people outside of our country. Its been a whirlwind two weeks, but thanks to your speeches, I can now respect my inner self and understand that when this (My life) is COVID in Texas. Your mind is too good to lose!

My only regret is that I don't live in your area of Texas so I can't vote for you. My hope is that people can see past their preconceived notions of what an atheist is, and hear your message about the need for reform in the education system and the criminal courts system. Critical thinking and strong minds are the best tools we can give our children. 28:30 "For the same crimes!" Everyone catches that when you write it in social media. What you don't catch back in the responses is the fact that sentencing isn't only based on the current crime but also on your previous record. So if you are a first time offender your sentence is going to be shorter than if you are a multiple convicted felon. The fact is that black communities commit crimes at a much higher rate than every other demographic as displayed in crime statistics. What causes this I don't know, you can blame it on the economy, culture, discrimination and a number of other factors. But regardless - if you have a statistically higher rate of criminality, you are going to have a statistically higher rate of interactions with police and subsequently - arrests and convictions.
Now, is there racism in the police force - of course there is. Is that the only or even the main factor to blame for these stats - I don't think so.
When is America going to change its voting system and begin to allow the rest of the world to vote... I think that it's only fair to allow the rest of the world to vote because American politics affects the rest of the world and as a proud Australian I want my 2 cents worth put in. Wouldn't it be better organisation to ask up front how long he needs and to not give him just 30, 40, 45, 60 minutes, but if necessary even 2 hours plus FaQ? I can understand the desire to put as many interesting panels into a program as possible, but if that results in popular guests to always have to break off their presentation at 2/3s of what they could have talked about? Doesn't seem really the best way to plan those things...

On the Feminism bit, I think the main reason people gave you shit, is because you said that "if you aren't a feminist, you're a sexist by definition". This isn't accurate, since feminism doesn't own the concept of equality.
I don't call myself a feminist, because I don't advocate for women's rights on the grounds of equality, I call myself an egalitarian, because I advocate for the rights of all people regardless of gender.
I want women to have the right to abortion (at the very least during the first half of the pregnancy, since after that we get into ethically murky waters which I am not qualified to navigate), but I also want newborn boys to have the right to bodily integrity and thus prohibit infant circumcision, just like FGM is prohibited. So, when you indirectly called me a sexist, because I won't adopt a label, that did sting a little.
I advocate for everyone to have the same rights and responsibilities. That's what being an egalitarian means.
So you dont believe that Women should have equal rights to Men, but that everyone should have equal rights, regardless of gender.

I think that there are a lot of people who call themselves feminists for social, political, or economic reasons, not because they actually believe those things.

You have some good ideas about politics. The problem with politics is that once a person gets into the government there is a tendency to do small favors for your buddies in exchange for a vote.
