In enlarging a 4x5 to 11x14, I put the film in the carrier and compose full size, then take the negative out of the carrier and make a 60 second 4x5 contact print in the enlarger light with the Kodak Projection Print Scale. Inspection of the sectors allows me to get close to final exposure. Then I make a contract print at the indicated exposure to verify it, may adjust accordingly. Don't need to waste a lot of paper with trial prints. The negative goes back in the enlarger and the full size print is made. The 4x5 paper is cut from the box of 11x14 paper, has to be exactly the same paper.

Thanks Clyde. Last time I worked in a dark room was back in the 90s. This brought back lots of memories. :)
Excellent video e stunning work Clyde!!!
Great stuff. In the Digital age we forget the real work behind the great photos of yester-years. They did incredible photos back then.
Bill Joel this isn’t back then, Clyde still prints some of the finest images ever put on paper.
