The reason that they are making progress with the PS4 is because the software that runs its games is not an emulator. The PS4 is the first Sony system to use the x86/AMD64 architecture, and this makes it so you can use a translation layer to run its software rather than needing to emulate hardware. It's like using Proton/WINE to play Windows games on Linux.
I think PS5 is also using x86 (which would explain the ps4 backward compatibility at launch). I hope this means we will be able to play most if not all of the PS4 library in a shorter time frame than through emulation☺️🙌🏼😭
That’s so weird I played and beat death stranding on steam deck, listen it’s far from perfect with some fps drops later in game but ran better than some modern day console games and I could forgive a lot of the problems, either way it looks like you found out how it could run better and that’s a good thing
Ditto, first game I beat on Steam Deck. Had no issues other than a couple frame dips when you travel further West. Other than that, it was stable, playable, and had zero major issues.
About the whole EA thing, I've had issues in the past with their new anticheat kicking me while joining a game for supposed integrity violations on BF2042 on my Windows 10 gaming PC along with the launcher just refusing to launch the game in the first place. Even validating the game files did largely nothing. It would just sporadically work then break so often that I gave up even TRYING to play. So not only will they be breaking compatibility but also likely making the game unstable when it already worked perfectly fine, probably not addressing the issues they introduce either in classic EA fashion. 99% of the time, these highly invasive anticheats don't do much anyway. If somebody's going to cheat then they'll find a way around it. Just look at COD.
They need to figure out platform detection/OS detection for FPS games to allow games on steam OS to run with out anti-cheat or at least to provide anti-cheat support for proton/linux so that we can play a whole lot more. It's a shame that they lock this stuff behind Windows support.

I'm upgrading to the steam deck oled in the near future since I broke my steam deck lcd. I also own a powerful PC that I run Linux on and not Windows. When I want to game on the go, I use the steamdeck. when I'm at home, I play on my PC. Also, I love death stranding one of my favorite games of all time. Oh, and I recommend using Bazzite and optimizing some settings on the steam deck way more performance and up to date packages.
Anyone know what happened? I haven't been on SteamDeck for a long time but now when I turn on CyberPunk I can't even get to 30 FPS :D Good Updates i guess

EA: Lets pull some games 'back' and implement EAC in these games, should drop those amazing numbers. Me: good job EA. that's a nice way to keep a healthy player base. I enjoy large scale open world war games I only find fun from playing point and shoot games. Games with side quests and a lot of reading or things to remember I don’t find them fun.
Recommendation as a viewer, not judging or anything, I just think it might help: - speak a little less fast, and... I don't know how to say it but just breath man - videos in the background makes it extremely hard to listen at you at the same time - try to stay more on point - maybe use videos that are directly related to what you are talking about, not just trailers - maybe a small background music? - your videos could be shorter, and with all the above points, it's really hard to watch the entire video, most times I'm "let's check how long until the video is over.. ho shit, I'm not even at half of the vid?" And then I just stop watching because... It's energy draining to watch everything Please don't take any of this as a hate comment or a way to destabilise you, I would love to be able to watch all your videos, especially the fact that you bring nice news Keep it up ❤
Alien Romulus sucked so much! I saw it at a discount for $6.59 and still was disappointed. It looked liked a 90s Alien movie but the story was really bad and the only thing was interesting was the last 5 minutes of the movie. I left the theater like wow that was a waste of time even for the price. @Deck Ready
Fantastic video! But your speech pattern took so much focus to follow. You don't have to talk until you are completely out of breath. That makes it so much harder to breathe in a natural sounding place such as the end of a sentence.

@@workout3D What? The CPU of the PS4 (which does the heavy lifting in emulation) is not powerful enough to emulate the PS3 Cell processor reliably. Maybe it would work for a few games, but probably not even that. The PS5 would probably be able to do that, if only Sony would care.
As much as I want to buy Titanfall 2 and SW fallen order, it's just a nope for me. At least for now. I'm still salty about ME legendary edition. fck them!
There should be a turorial on youtube for that problem, where there are a few ways to try first. A combination of holds on buttons that will drain the battery and might solve the problem 💪 or maybe try to start the boot menu that might also help, cannot remember the last one 💪

I always see people talking about steam getting new updates but when I go to my steam there is no updates there.
There's a stable channel for updates, then there's the experimental. You need to switch client updates in desktop mode.

Seeing the PS4 emulator on Steam Deck at 30fps is insane! The Xbox 360 emulator only runs at around 15fps.

Is not a proton/wine issue is an OS issue, those anti cheats are designed to work with NT not Linux
