Well done sister. I fast on and of the whole year. It´s beneficial for the body and mind. I will say this from experience; when you crave food on your fasting, don' t dwell on the thought. It will pass. Drink some water and keep busy till it passes. I'm rolling myself this time of the year. 4 days fast, 2 feast days and so on. I will do this for a total of 6 weeks and then switch to adf until necessary.

Hey lovely! First of all, amazing progress! But I just wanted to share that according to Dr. Mindy Pelz, during our progesterone building period (the week before our period) it's important that women don't fast more than 15 hours, doing extended fasts too often during this period can wreck havoc on our hormonal health. I really recommend her channel as she focuses quite a bit on fasting for women and our unique hormonal needs, which I find lots of other doctors who promote fasting tend to ignore. It's almost 3 weeks into 2023 and I have so much going on, i absolutely need to lose weight and become more fit. I've started this year with rolling fasts and I'm finally losing weight! For the first time in years- I'm definitely under 200lbs even after fluctuating weight from food/water/clothes
As a woman, be cautious: estrogen LOVE fasting, but progesterone hate this. So fasting is very good, but stop a few days before your periods to let progesterone be high enough to do its job.
I would argue that you can eat delicious low carb food to keep you in ketosis when you eat. I did a 4 day fast, ate protein and fat, dropped 1.8 lbs the next day (my biggest single day drop), and kept rolling. Back on to another fast. The hardest part is the first 2 days. Then I just get bored. I want to try eating once ever 7 days too. Curious about that

I am thinking of alternate day fasting which is 36 hours. Or maybe rolling 72 which is 72 hours. Or maybe 46 hours fasting. Im 222.6. I am on day 3 of 100 days smoothie diet. I know i can do 100 days but I am kinda bored. I miss cooking and eating. Mostly miss cooking. But I know that i need to lose this weight. If you don’t have experience fasting I would highly recommend you start of with OMAD ( one meal a day), then alternate day fasting to help your body adjust to extended fasting. My hope for you is you find what works for you from the weight loss perspective but that it also not impact your life in a negative way. Are you a chef or just enjoy cooking?
I enjoyed this video. On my first ADF fast in while. I’m looking forward to ending my overeating and binge eating and overcoming my fears and issues. And looking forward to getting therapy weekly. Folks be careful. When first fasting you’ll lose tons of weight in the first 1-2 days. A lot of that is water weight. Especially if you’re eating higher carb and salt when you break fast. Been doing rolling fasts and IF for years

You are not alone. I would encourage you to first focus on reducing your stress level, make sure you are getting enough sleep, and drinking enough water. Then, address your eating habits. I pray that you find a lifestyle that works for you!
Sorry for the delay in response. There are no set rules for refeeds. Currently I watch my sugar and carb intake but other then that my "window" of eating which is 2 hours helps keep me in check.

Be careful of starting fasts after eating junk food. It’s better to eat Keto the day before. Eating trash the day before a fast will have you crashing from insulin and blood to blood sugar crash
So in short yes I WAS an emotional eater. I am working on my physical and mental health so I am no long claiming emotional eating as my current reality. 🙃

Some would say no, but I take vitamins/supplements and electrolytes. I believe it makes it more sustainable. Do whats best for you.

How do you keep from getting sick when breaking your fast? I always get really sick even if I break after just 21 hours. 😢
Do a dirty fast drink some Powerade zero and go from there... So you can get your electrolytes
Put apple cider vinegar (1 table soon) in a cup of water💝 try something light like fruit or veg soup or chicken broth🦋
Eat something small (fruit, drink broth, etc). Then, after about 30 minutes, actually break your fast
Your body will get used it. I use to have diarrhea after breaking it and now I am all
