4:31 I know that this symbol doesn't universally mean "that thing" you can probably guess I'm referring to, but seeing it as a European it just always feels wrong. I've seen other people in this comment section mentioning it too. I hope it just means what it traditionally meant...
In Japan and many other Asian cultures, that symbol still represents good luck or a religious or spiritual connotation rather than white supremacy. Even in Europe and the Americas, it was a widely-used good luck symbol into the 1930s until it got co-opted and permanently ruined. It’s still definitely jarring to see from the perspective of somebody in the western world.
Great work as usual! These last couple hundred levels remaining must be absolutely insane. How is that 4th level not removed for having those uhh... old German symbols? I guess no one ever made it far enough to see and report them?
It's a pretty simple design and has been used by tons of different groups throughout history, I think it's pretty fair to say the creator didn't have any malicious intent making them
That symbol was in use in Asia for at least 4000 years before the Germans adopted it. In Japan, the symbol is used to denote Buddhist shrines on maps today. Given that the level creator is Japanese, it's likely that the symbol's meaning is the usual Asian one of luck or good fortune rather than the 20th century German one.
Not that hard actually, you can throw it when Mario is standing about 2 blocks away from the breakable block (maybe even 3) as long as you are running at top speed. Gets easier with practice too
Stinky cheese or dev exit on that 2nd one? GG
2:34 THE CHEESE

Before it was claimed by that Austrian painter and his associates, it actually meant peace and were positive generally.
That symbol is only the tilted one, if it isn’t tilted then it’s the good one
Appreciate all the info. It was on my mind since I watched Boys in the Boat and Zone of Interest within the last few days.
Almost there...
