Hey all! I play games quickly sometimes so speedruns will likely be the main content you'll be seeing here. I also make some stuff, but that's generally rare. If I ever beat my own record in a speedrun, I unlist the obsoleted video to declutter the channel. Ether - Any% speedrun [28:47.33 RTA WR]
I'm choosing to call this a WR as I appear to be the only competition lol. There's no leaderboard yet but I think a good metric for start and end time is the frame I press New Game to when the timer stops updating at the end of the final level.
Total IGT - 27:25.982
The IL practice made this easier than I expected; very pleased considering this was my second full attempt. I also got a PB on the first two stages which is a welcome surprise.
I don't have plans for more Ether runs but if any amount of substantial content is added I may make another video. As per usual, there is plenty of room for improvement in this run for anyone willing to try it. Buy it on Steam, it's very reasonably priced!

Very happy with this one, despite the increase in deaths from the last level. While I'm surprised by how "not that bad" this was to get the speedrun achievement time (7:30) I wasn't satisfied with that this time so I kept pushing. This one was tricky too, but I think fast falling helped out quite a bit. Definitely room for improvement but this is pretty good for now I think. Also I'm assuming the discrepancy between the in game timer ending at 7m23s while the level clear screen said 7m12s is a bug, hopefully gets patched soon. #ether #etherGame #speedrun

Found this really cool Celeste inspired indie precision platformer on Steam called Ether made by Mad Sailors Games and I got it when it released the other week. Interesting! Trying to beat this boss didn't even occur to me back when I was trying to beat stages with this mod as fast as I could. I'll definitely try it out later and see if there's any time-saves I can find, but just knowing it's possible at all is nice to know Now we're just missing a way to beat Silver and specially Shadow

This is the speedrun I've been looking for. Nothing overly fancy, easy enough to follow, even with mistakes you had time to spare. Thank you for this. Easily some time savers you could implement with a few simple tricks, nothing that would require any crazy inputs mind you, just some small things like where to place yourself.

I played and cheesed the second stage in about the same way just a bit worse only to find out after i beat it you had cleared it earlier. Took the wind out of me. GG on all the clears.

For being one of the last ~350 courses? No surprisingly not that difficult. Compared to the average mario maker level? Yeah definitely has the precision and annoyingness of a level that takes a good few attempts lol

i’m no expert but i feel like the japanese title for this level translates to “the screen shake spectacular” because my god
this kind of level feels so randomly and haphazardly put together, but also so well designed. Honestly i would love to start building in this sort of "corruption" style, that has some weird whacky puzzles, and maybe team 0% will have a blast with it when smm2 servers are facing a shut down TwT
