Well. Nobody knows exactly how are these scrapped worlds, so who knows! Fun fact: the eyes of bowser would have been blue since it was being decided the eyes colours
Unfortunately, besides what seems to be a couple test levels and MAYBE (probably not) some extremely early versions of some worlds (such as the funhouse), it appears that the scrapped worlds were cut very early on, seeing as how Mario 64 had hefty deadlines to meet. I agree it would still be cool to have a romhack that allows you to explore these areas though

This was something truly special; no other gaming mystery has garnered so much attention or created such a massive, loyal following. Entire gaming communities and UA-cam channels owe their existence to this simple mystery, friendships have been forged over debating it... We should all take a moment to reflect on how truly significant this one low-res texture has been to all of us individually and as a community.
Wow. It actually happened. This was basically how I started being interested in video games. I had played mario 64. I found some online forums discussing this and it intrigued me. And here I am, many years later, and the mystery that brought me here is solved. This makes me genuinely emotional.
While we already knew that "L is real" as the news that he was planned but scrapped was out for awhile and the statue just says "A Eternal Star", its nice to see Luigi's actual model.
24 years and (0) 1 month after the game came out? Nintendo planned ahead Edit: but doesn't it seem strange that after the smg64 iceberg image was posted, this happens not too long after? It may be coincidence but it doesn't seem like it
Nintendo is either really happy we were able to find Luigi in the files and followed the prophecy, or really mad that we were digging in their game files.
This is like one of the only good things that has happened during 2020, the year's been pretty terrible but L was finally proved to be real Seems like it's a great time to be a Mario 64 fan, with the Wario Apparition and source code leak
I've said this before and I'll say it again, when I was a kid I never understood how anyone got "L is real at 2401" Or anything out of the scribbly gobbeldygook on that statue. I STILL Can't read it to this day.
the leak only had around 75% of all the files we would have needed to rebuild beta builds like Shoshinkai, SpaceWorld, etc. Hopefully those are found soon. This has been confirmed.
3:45 This also makes me think the the whole "every copy of Super Mario 64 is personalized" theory was some sort of publicity stunt to build up to this, in order to get people interested in Mario 64 rumors again.

Maybe they are gonna make the 2 player SM64 mode playable in the 3D Mario collection at last. I mean, there’s no reason not to, with the amount of space on a Switch cart and all. Rumours are that they aren’t updating the graphics of the game, just the frame rate, and are adding in 'Surprises'. I’d be over the moon to finally have a 2 player mode, it’d give more purpose for buying the game collection so that lots of people can play together.
Sam Warren Yeah though if they remake them they’d probably make each separate considering those games each costed anywhere between 30-60$ meaning if they release them each together they’d lose nearly a hundred per purchase (due to the actual value being 150$+). Note: This is assuming that they are going to release the “collection” for 60$ (if it even does release).

@@maxkoob Well, today the Blood's source is not that needed since two fan-made ports (BloodGDX and NBlood) were made which reverse engineered Blood.exe. Plus for some, there's also Fresh Supply which is a recreation of Blood in KEX engine. But still, having the original source would have been still a tremendous event for Blood community. Also, two people are known to still possess the source, so certainly it's not lost.

Maybe Luigi will be added to the 3D collection version of Mario 64.
Or just base it off the DS version
*Bold of you to assume that the 3D collection isn’t purely rumor*
Good point, however judging by the amount of info surrounding the 35th anniversary, it‘s more than likely all but confirmed.
