I thought he did fine. I've watched almost all his Netflix specials. It felt like one of those. I think you have to know him and his style to get his GG jokes & delivery. I hope this will give him fan base to get more opportunities.

I wish he had more time to prepare. I don't dislike him, but I also see how Taylor is over all the comments about her. Tina fey and amy made bad jokes about her before at the GG awards too. I think she is just over being the butt of the jokes. Plus last week NYT wrote an article basically saying she is gay and her team had to speak on that so she probably just was fed up by the time Jo came around.

Taylor Swift has an excellent marketing team. I don't think I follow her, I like some of her songs, but she shows up on my feed and I don't even follow her. She is everywhere, it seems. They are kind of overdoing it. Jo Koy specials are hilarious though and I didn't even know about him until a few days ago, watched his specials, and then discovered he was hosting the Golden Globes.
Everyone is up in arms over nothing. That joke was a compliment to her and a slap to the NFL.

I thought Jo Koy was funny as heck enjoyed him, I thought Taylor Swift came off stuffy, nothing was wrong with the joke. It was a lot of truth in his joke. I'm a NFL fan I like the Chief but this year I watch less of the Kansas City Chiefs games because it seemed like they were promoting Taylor Swift more than they were the game and I didn't like that. No disrespect but when I'm watching the NFL that's what I want to see "Football". I think she took it to serious. And the side eye the person sitting next to her was giving was hilarious to me.

Really revealed the true nature of Hollywood and Internet Cancel Culture after one revealing night of pettiness for a few missed jokes that isn't even his writing. It's fantastic. Screw the writers but he needs to own the jokes as well. He doesn't need to apologize. It's part of the gig with less prep time. Other GG hosts roast with no remorse. So what's different this time? Lots factor comes to mind but some are more obvious than others.
