This guy is an Artiste, Engineer, mechanic, and a visionary all rolled up in one bloke. You know when he is having a win, he does his little jive dance. 10 out of ten from an ordinary guy
I don’t think this dude outsources anything.homie does everything.not many people like him are around,he even paints better than most painters 😂.a true builder
I am surprised they could just hold the straight edge by hand when the scribed the glass. Seems like it could slide on the glass unless it had a sticky rule. This only works on new glass. I have seen a torch flame used to melt the plastic layer.👍
I’ve watched every single most popular car builder on this planet work. Mike is the ONLY builder I’ve seen that does it all. Fabrication, upholstery, mechanics, body, paint, suspension, electrical, custom design, detailing, glass, exhaust, he’s the only builder I’ve seen to where I can easily say their is nothing he can’t do. He is my main influence in becoming a car builder for obvious reasons. Hands down the best content online for any gearhead. He definitely deserves tons more content on a waaaay more frequent basis. As it’s plain to see, no other builder comes close. Barris, Winfield, Rousell, Hines, Foose, Coddington, Hiltz, Casper, Alexander, Ayala… could never touch this man. And that’s undisputed fact. Serious respect and Admiration goes out to Bello’s Kustoms. 💯💯💯
@user-dc8gu7qc9g That guy is a train wreck. But I have to say it's because of some chemical imbalances and that makes him like a drugged out adah kid. He does has some talent to half-assed stuff and some imagination but it doesn't always make the grade.
Mike is def SUPER talented. I'll hold out on "all" until I see his pinstriping, engine building, and upholstery work. All the other names you mentioned built cars but through a business and that business is what they were good at as well. You see its just Mike and Catapilla and so he really has more in common with the average weekend builder and a buddy as like us he does it all himself---- its just he actually has TALENT whereas most folks don't but can't afford to pay others. You can tell he loves doing it or he would hire people and go sit in an office and get more business or push merchandise, or something other than put his hands on some fat fendered rod. I mean, who else has "1936 Ford" tattooed across both hands, right?👍
Such an honor to get to watch this guy and his helper create their magic. In my opinion the premier car builder on UA-cam. If he don't know it, he learns it. Always appreciate the videos from you fellows.👍
Can't understand how some of these complete and total hacks can have upwards of a million followers and this old school master have forty seven thousand and change.
When cutting patterns with laminated glass when you score the first cut go ahead and from the bottom before you flip the glass and tap along the score line with the ball end of your cutter to make it follow the cut. Then flip the glass make your second cut and do the same thing it keeps from cracking like it was doing. To cut the plastic after both cuts put some denatured alcohol along the cut and light it for about 10 or 15 seconds and use a razor blade to cut the plastic it makes a much smoother cut with a lot less clean up afterwards. I've been cutting glass for over 30yrs years now and can tell you how to cut just about anything you want
If you’re not learning everyday you’re not pushing yourself. If you’re not pushing yourself you’re limiting yourself and your talent. Push yourself in the things that make you uncomfortable. Those who are truly gifted in any trade always push themselves in learning , challenging themselves and overcoming. Bellos Kustoms is a great example of always pushing themselves to accomplish the uncomfortable 👏.
What an amazing transformation. Definitely one we would all enjoy seeing it completed. Once the interior is done much of the custom metal artwork is hidden. Thankfully the owner has these videos to enjoy and be proud of his Bellos Kustoms piece of art.
This Chevy went from Ugly Duckling to Bad Swan!! Beautiful tasteful lines and incredible workman ship on that chop. He didn’t cut and stretch or gap, he formed whole new curved panels, coach work style!!!!! I can’t say enough!!!! His waiting list must be years long!!!!!!!!!!
What still kills me is how you can get that fucking roofline so perfect just by looking at it and hammering out some metal. Damn. Anyhow, thanks for the tutorial on safety glass... all this time I thought it was black magic. Now I know I can do that shit easy! For gluing the bottom channel to those side windows, Google "glass setting tape". I used that stuff on my '25 Franklin side windows and hinged windshield and it works good. when I fucked up on one of the windows, it comes apart pretty easy with no cleanup required to re-set. Cheers, Jim
Yo Mike Vato Loco this is coming from an old man that his father cut glass you did very good if that old man would that high dollar sander he would have kick ass he made an A framed belt sander so he could do larger work But Vato you did Good keep up the great Info. Tricks of the Trade The Crazy Old Man In The Yucatan 😎
Great video! I often wonder how many of these cars will be around 100 years or so from now. All I know is that I won't be around LoL. New cars are nice, but most have no soul.
Mike that thing is awesome...another great example of skill..patience...and attention to detail. Ive never seen you so lazer focused as when you were cuttin that glass. Keep it up big dawg! Steve you keep getting razor sharp with these videos bro! From the technical breakdowns to.keep us layman in the loop to the artistic mastery of catching the shop lights cascading down the contours of the new shape of the car in the outro...Mike is lucky to have you on the squad! Gosh now we just have to see what the inside will look like...whatever you do AL dont just let any chump with a sewing needle take over!😅 Stay on the gas fellas and never let up!
Awe yeah....... The dynamic duo back in action, Straight LocoChon and El Senor Carapilla busting a move! Waiting for your virtual reality channel to come out soon..... 😂👊👍
Hey Mike, Got my order in last week with two long sleeves and a Hoddie. Thank you, Bro, the quality of your clothing matches your wrk. 2nd to none BrothA 👊❤️. Anybody out there thinking of ordering some merch from Mike. Do it! You will not be disappointed. Thank you again, Mike. Love all that you do, man. Much Love and Respect 👊🙏
100% agree! My wife ordered me a shirt, shipped to Canada. The quality is first rate. Even has Bellos printed inside the back of the neck instead of a label. Beautifully wrapped and came with stickers. My wife says Mike's wife is a joy to E-mail with. What great people!
I’m not at all surprised he does the glasswork to his builds I often wondered how it’s done Bello always Continues to impress and amaze me… Thank You for another Great Sunday Morning insight in your shop🤘🏻
Nice work. Now you guys cut glass, too. You can't buy experience, you need to live it, but sometimes you can pay for it, and then it's yours. Thanks for the great videos.
What beautiful job on the custom glass. This ride is getting sexyer everyday bro. Next seats and carpet and this owner will have a smile 10 miles wide. Dang he must be itching to get his wheels home.
Mike, many moons ago I was watching a fella cut some safety glass and after he cracked the glass he dribbled on some alcohol, lit it, waited about a minute and pulled the pieces apart clean as a whistle, no knives or other sharp edges to cut the fingers.
Beautiful Mike. I thought that car needed a chop from the 1st time I saw it. It turned out even smoother than I imagined. Big Steve, videography and editing is awesome.
The admiration is the end result of beautiful artwork with sheet metal and glass. Craftsmanship and technique at it's finest = creativity. I love it all. Thanks for the insight into Bello's Kustoms!
The glass job amazing. One small step for man one huge step for man kind. Like I said prior more skills then a rocket scientist. Lokochon style. From the 719 PUEBLO COLORADO. THE BOX STATE YEYE.
I was in a glass business for 50 years, you're using the cheapest glass cutter you possibly can buy. You score one side then you run it out you do the same thing on the other side and you use denatured alcohol to put in the crack and you light it on fire the plastic heats up and it's very easy to get that piece off without breaking the glass. I've never seen anybody hold a glass cutter like that!!!!!
Great job doing glass cutting. Gerry my hubby worked at a glass manufacturer. He said instead of using blade to cut a stuck piece.of plastic next time..try isopropyl alcohol on the cut then set on fire with torch. The heat will melt plastic and glass will snap.off. hint hint..keep dancing ❤❤❤
Thank you for this video Hommie Mike,my friend has a 39 chevy snd we want to put a new window in the passenger rear door ,now i have the courge to do it ,keep up the cool master workmanship from CholeTown ,Soledad Ca,

Sunday the 21/4/24 taking another look at last Sundays video! I’m in ore at Mikes abilities to turn his hands at anything & with his Trusted Sidekick Carapilla helping there seems nothing he can’t do 🛠️😎
I watched a glass guy cut a windshield for me years ago, after scoring and cracking he poured lighter fluid on the cut lit it on fire for about 15 seconds to soften the plastic then pulled it away for and easy cut with a single edge blade.
You know you're a real artist when you create everything from metal work to paint and class. Been slowly getting through all the vids since finding the channel. Awesome work.
The was nothing I thought that Mike couldn't improve on. But I was wrong. He elevated the production of the videos, by getting the exact person for the job, that make it more pleasing to watch. EVERY second is captivating! Thanks for having the grace to share your craft. I do enjoy it.
You can buy a metal handle for your glass cutter for a couple of dollars that will make it a lot easier to hold it. You also need some glass cutting pliers that have a curved top and bottom to help you 'break' the scoring line. Go to a stained glass shop and they can supply what you need to make your job a lot easier. A wet wheel grinder would be useful as well. As noted, visit a stained glass shop and you'll lean a lot in a few minutes.

Use blue spirits on the plastic and set it alight to burn the plastic of between the layers. It gives you a clean cut and you do not have to fiddle with a knife
Nice job on the glass Mike, good that you can do it all in house like that, you got awesome skills man! It’s good to use a respirator when sanding glass like that, that glass dust is pretty nasty on the lungs bro. Have a great weekend Mike and to Catapilla too!
JESUS- Mike, now that the glass is cut, I can unclench my ass. awesome work, you are the Master of your craft! I love your shows so much I would watch you make a lunch box! keep the faith Brother. a fan for life. Mike B.

Bello, take a look at a 'hand seamer' - a tool used in sheet metal work
Like the pliers but it will hold 4" of the glass
Hot DAMN! I never thought I'd be so invested in watching glass being cut. Great stuff.

Mike's little pieces of measuring tape can do anything!
I have adopted the cut off tape measure and can't believe how much simpler it is around the workbench
@@boblister665 I have one to after seeing Mike's I had a broken tape and cut it at the "6 and it is very useful having it at the bench

My 2 cents. . . . . I’ve done this back in the day, so when sanding or grinding glass dry . . .
Fine dust is in the air please use full face mask and gloves (ask how I know )
Glass moves around your body you don’t get rid of it

Master at his craft, I was cringing when you were cutting the glass Mike. That is the most important part in a chop the glass and to get it installed.
Learn something new. But accully seeing if I can do it is a whole different story book. Glass takes a whole lotta patients taking your time. New glass cutter sharp one, diesel fuel, wd-40, pliers, whole lotta patient's!

Best way to cut glass is with a haynas nipple in the winter 🤣 Chingon Cacheton ! QVo Pinche Carapila !

On top of sheer talent Mike has the willpower necessary to try anything. Be nice if Australian builders were as willing to share.
That is one bad ass car. I cannot image that someone can still gather up all those decent parts. All respect to you. ...stay locochon..
Wow, I was wondering about the glass in the cars you chop, it’s like you guys knew what I was wondering about!! Nice job Mike!
