I really think it's such wonderful craftsmanship and thank you so much for sharing. Just so you know your efforts of sharing and filming are not wasted, I'm 16 and living in Toronto. I'll be practicing on some windshields very soon :P

Do you have a video of how you wet sand the seam? (edge of glass)

    Wow, that was impressive.
Is the rear glass in a 50s car able to be cut in the same way?

An aftermarket laminated one is, but the original ones were tempered glass, in which case, ya can't cut em down

Truth is, the only reason I've made these videos is in an effort to try to show other glass guys a technique I figured out, so they would know it's possible to do, and not overly complicated, once ya understand the physical properties of what you're dealin with. I was told it couldn't be done about 25 years ago, but I needed to do it for my own 52 Chevy that I chopped. I had cut a shit ton of flat lami, and couldn't see why I wouldn't be able to cut curved lami, soni gave er a whirl. I hope someday somebody will respond with a video or even just saying that they did one theirself, with the help of one of my videos. My goal is simply just to pass it on.
