24-Hour woodworking Marathon - 7+ Builds

  • I ran a personal 24-hour marathon (1.1 miles every hour) while building as many things as I could in between. Watch me slowly degrade throughout the day and get a kick when the sun comes out the next day. Between the runs, I built a bookcase, a dog door holder, a slingshot, an epoxy memento, a shop drawer organizer, re-calked a bathtub, wrote my wife a love letter, made a tribute sign to a new shop motto, and several other small projects. Thank you for taking the time to watch, and let me know if you have any other outlandish woodworking-related endeavors.
    What do you want to see next? I read and reply to all comments, so let me know any woodworking avenue you want to see explored!

    About Stillworks
    I make videos of my daily shop life and all the crazy things I’m working on. That could be project builds, woodworking skits, more introspective stuff, and educational videos. Think of my woodworking as exactly what you do: Not specializing in one thing, rather cranking out whatever comes to mind, regardless of genre. Thanks for watching!

    You absolutely crushed it! When I saw the title of the video I was intrigued and really really confused. And you sir are an absolute machine! Glad you didn't take a nap... I'm sure the safety police on youtube will lash out but you did it in a way that was smart (well kinda-because, WHY!?) I very much appreciate the thought, work, energy, editing, filming, and running.... You should have a billion subscribers to your channel. Next time you could send the safety police into a complete tail spin and do a shot of beer every 5 minutes for 5 hours (really don't even think about doing that, you have a family that obviously loves you).

      The beer one would be more fun though…
      I appreciate the kind words Mike, and as I’ve said before - just need to get more new viewers to give my videos a chance, and we can grow from there. It’s just a big hurdle

    You are an absolute madman. I'm still kinda sad we didn't get to see power carving while jogging... tuck that idea away for a future video maybe?
    Also... (paraphrasing here - I'd look back up exactly what you said, but I don't want to fudge with your stats) "the first 3.3 went quick, as you would expect"... 3.3 miles would take my "husky frame" 24 hours to do.

    • @scottandsher
      @scottandsher Місяць тому +1

      @@Stillworks yes, any video on organization would be valuable to me. Things like router bit storage, the dust collecting rockler drill press thing that connects to a hand drill (looks cool but rarely used), how and where to hang rulers (I say rulers not rules 😬), I'm still a noob and would like to see how to plane multiple boards to the same thickness for panels and table tops. I have about 32 million other questions and ideas 😬
