Rayn I came here for the Metal Zone joke. Funny tho, in Jimmy Vivino's rig rundown (He plays guitar in Conan's show band) he doesn't have much true bypass pedals going on
Because the organic gain from the amplifier's EL34 power tubes give a naturally sweet midrange breakup that only needs to be boosted by a drive pedal in the preamp section.
At first I read "horribly terrific".

Maska Jinjo No i am not talking about this show. I am talking about Ferguson's show on CBS. I am just referring that if it were late late show it might have really happened. Because there has already been 3 times power down just in the studio and was leaking one of the time.I know years ago conan had done shows without power but at that time the power in entire city of New york was gone.
His improv is so much better than his skits. So yes, I agree, his natural reaction to this would have been better.

I'm a sound engineer. This must be how physicists feel watching Big Bang Theory. You looked up a bunch of audio engineering terms and threw them in a blender and came up with nonsensical word vomit. I have to assume one of your sound guys wrote this sketch and told you it would make perfect sense. We can sometimes be mean like that.

Conan is a decent actor, But you always know when its a skit with these things because Conan ignores a issue. If a real issue happened he would laugh and make jokes about it and call the show out on how "cheap and shitty" it is and "thats what he gets by going from network to basic cable"

It's real. This shit happens more often than you think. This was not planned, but Conan actually knows a LOT about audio setup through his years in the business. We were lucky to have seen in this on camera, that's why its a great video
