My grandfather had an '01 Miata Special Edition in British Racing Green. What a sweet car it was! When he passed away in '04 it was passed on to my oldest cousin. He got a vanity plate for it that said ThanxSid! I haven't seen the car since my cousin moved to Colorado 5 or 6 years ago and I haven't ridden in it since my grandfather's passing. I miss it!
Dunoj I am a happy owner of another 2001 Special Edition in British racing green. My car was number 1796 in the production scale of the 3000 of these cars that were produced that year. I believe I am the third owner and the car just turned over 38,000 miles. Living in Wisconsin the car does not see snow and cold weather has its spends that time in a heated storage facility.
Five years ago I got a 2003 Miata "SE" (6-speed) from a woman who bought the top-of-line model (SE) originally. But she had hip surgery and couldn't get in and out of it anymore. So her neighbor sold it for her - - to me with 55K miles. Perfect condition. Only 67K miles now. Wonderful car. I'll never sell it. Fun, fun, fun. I'm 73 years old now.
@@importcarenthusiast @@importcarenthusiast Was that with an employee discount? When I'm ready to buy my Miata, I'm going to go to Mazda dealership and wait for someone looking to trade their clean Miata and offer to buy it for a few hundred more than what the dealer would give them. Because you know that car would sell for at least 2 k over what you paid for it.
+Mitul Jariwala If you cannot drive manual then it's fine but this car really is best with manual. The automatic takes away from the experience so much.

Is it quicker than your civic?
+James Grange It feels about the same honestly. Maybe a little slower than the Civic.
what kind of mpg u get?
+Mitul Jariwala anywhere from 25 to 30 usually
Import Car Enthusiast that's really good. is the automatic a good option to get? I can't drive manual

Import Car Enthusiast that's true. but I can't find any videos of automatic miatas. therefore, it's hard for me to buy the car
Import Car Enthusiast what type of fuel do you put? regular vs premium gas
Where did you get the keyless entry
+Bryce Moseley It's factory
Is this your new daily
+Umer Sohail No, I still have the Civic. I'll probably split the driving pretty evenly between the two cars until winter hits again.
