Why does everyone like Debling? Yes, he’s a kind man who has one passion, but why do people like him for pen? He straight up tells her his work takes his whole heart and that he will never have the room to love her. She would live a lonely, unfulfilled life with him.
Because he was honest and didn't make any empty promises. Love can blossom in any relationship based on honesty and respect. He's not looking for a piping hot romance and didn't promised one. Realistically, those don't last past 6 months with luck. He just went straight to the point and promised a future of security and freedom to be who him and her wanted to be, while being life companions. I have no doubts they would have fallen in love in time. Like, throwing someone off a horse with your hat is a ridiculous reason to fall in love with someone so... falling in love because you're sharing your life with an awesome man is a great reason to fall in love.
@@izmatopia4347 I understand why he’s likable, I don’t understand why people believe he’s good for Pen. She expressed her desire for love. Passion. Romance. He was happy her life would be so fulfilling without him around. He would be leaving for years at a time, yet expected her to maintain affection for him. I don’t imagine that lasts long either. I appreciate that he was open and honest about what he wanted and played no games, but he also didn’t consider at all what anyone else would want, namely Pen.
@@izmatopia4347 you seem to forget that these are stories. They aren’t meant to be practical. They were kids when pen fell in love with Colin. It was puppy love that blossomed further during their friendship. What a boring story we’d have if girls married the practical man in love with being away from his wife for years at a time
He may be honest but he isn't kind or likable that much.. I personally find him very selfish because he expects a woman to sit at home and Wait for him loyally, whereas he doesn't want to give her anything back in return.
@@izmatopia4347 No please love cannot blossom in any relationship.. if it were that then anybody could fall in love with anybody
I don't condone infidelity but I believe in justice. Violet's mom was wack! She was racist, classist, and elitist. It's amazing that Violet turned out so well. But then again, she's Brains and Beauty.
she really took after her father
Her father was lovely though. Pity he didn’t meet lady Danbury before
@@cheriedeparis5000 even if they did meet earlier agatha was betrothed at age 3
I loathe affairs and I know divorce was looked down upon. I feel Ledger would have gotten divorced if it wasn’t for that.
Also, I believe he did not Violet to live through that. There is a reason why people stay together for their kids. It is a very complicated situation.
Again, I loathe affairs, but can see why he fell for Lady Danbury. They shared each other’s values and she was kind. I hate to say I liked their relationship despite the infidelity because you can understand why they fell for each other.
@@amyobrien3980i repressed that part.
3. Ew! I hate they raised her from 3 to when she got married to get married to this a-hole .
One character who deserves a spot is Mr Albion Finch. He first appeared in season 1 and he immediately started courting Philipa. Both of them were cute together. Remember, the Featherington girls had no beauty compared to the Bridgerton girls, and no one, including the Queen paid any attention to the family. But Mr Finch didn't mind that. He truly cared for Philipa. He made few appearances in Season two where Philipa was excited to see him, and at one point, Portia points him out to Philipa. He brings her flowers and spends time with the family at their home, and also happens to have the longest courtship of all three seasons. They have a small ceremony as to the matter of the dowry, yet they are a happy couple. And he always showed kindness to both his sister-in-laws Pen and Prudence, and respect their mother Portia. He is the only one to notice Pen and smile at her when she presents herself at the ball wearing a green dress. He is a nice Gentleman.
Yes. I was waiting for someone to comment on that.
I noticed them more after a Pensive Whiskers video discussed them and am always paying attention to those little moments with him and Phillipa.
I also adore that now Penelope has one supporter in her family. So cute!
I was thinking the same!! I noticed and loved him from the beginning!!
Mr Finch is his sisters-in-laws' greatest supporter. His face when Pen descended the stairs in her new green dress was so cute! He adores his wife, and cares about her family, including Pen even when his wife is being horrible about her.
True, and many people pointed out that Finch might be know how to ‘make an heir’ for Featherigton, but he respect and care about Philipa so he wait for her to be ready, which the actress of Philipa and Portia agree that is ‘very Finch’. They also have the best relationship compare to many.
but this is the man in the bridgerton family
The best man in Bridgerton is arguably Brimsley. Loved, lost, protective and loyal to the Queen, dedicated his whole life to his job, there’s no bigger love than his for his Queen.
Farmer George hands down.
Definitely!
I agree that is my favorite show. Amazing that there was no book but did such a good job on their journey and story. I go back and watch it all the time.
Correction. Sienna broke up with Antony. "Let. Me. Go".
I think, he would have made the promise if she wanted to be with him
No, Anthony told her long before that scene that he couldn't see her any more. And she said, 'but, you promised to take care of me." He decided he had to take more responsibility of his family - or rather, become more of a dictator.
@@belledecatWhy couldn’t he see her anymore?
@@BellesView (Episode 1 of Season 1) Anthony and his mother in Anthony's study during a conversation about him talking about responsibility and duties concerning his family and his mother berates him commenting about his affair with 'the opera singer' and how he is not taking his responsibilities seriously, particularly the way he is treating Daphne and her suitors. Anthony breaks up with Sienna in his effort to become more responsible in his family duties in a later scene.
I kind of pity how Anthony was ranked low, given the back story of how he has to step up after he lost his father suddenly at 18/19. It does not help that he practically has to raise the younger 6 siblings when Violet is in depression. Same goes for Simon, with a dad like that & his mum gone, i feel thankful there's Lady Danbury to help him while growing up.
This ranking is …whatever 😅
Anthony is the king of red flags, Benedick is for streets and yes, that's not a typo
Lol how 😂😂😂 in his defense, he asks for a relationship with all of the women but they say no 😂😂😂
Benedict, at first glance he does seem like a rake, but the author of this is right, he never disrespected any of the women he was with, even Lucy Grandvile. Which is why I hope they do his book next because Sophie is the Yin to his Yang. In society's standards she should not exist, because she is a Bastard, she's conservative because she doesn't want her kids to go threw what she went threw. Meanwhile Benedict is more liberal, and doesn't care what society does or says. I Think it is also a chance to have a working class lead. they show it a little with the Mondriche's, but the Leads for each season have been members of the Ton. It would be a nice change of pace.
Benedick = Community dick 🤮
He is collecting all the STDs in the ton.
Went through*
Francesca and Kilmartin is my favorite relationship on the show so far. Maybe it’s because they haven’t done anything to hurt each other. As a socially awkward and shy person person myself, I relate to them. I loved the gesture he made when he rearranged the music.
Where's Will Mondrich?
Yeah I would rank him as the #1 man for his devotion to his wife, children and friendships.
Absolutely... big omission!
Right. I feel like both Will & Kilmartin beat Colin but I guess
Anthony's trauma is being completely overlooked, as per usual... He'll always be my favorite ❤️
Sameee i stand by Kate and Anthony, my fellow eldest children 💜😂😂
I was really hoping for Prince Friedrich to take #1. He had it all, the looks, the maturity, the rank, and the politeness.
True. But his uniform was ridiculous. 🤭
Here’s my ranking :
1. Anthony 🥰
2. Everybody else 😂…
I approve of this ranking. It’s always been Colin for me.
Colin will always be my favourite
Colin and King George hold the most special place in my heart....I loved Colin since season 1 ❤. Lord Debling is right behind them...
Yes. And I love the support of good men. Albion and John are earning spots in my top 5 as well for the same reason.
I got that sense with Collin, even in the first season, I believe he would have loved Marina no matter what had she not gone along with trapping him. I understand why she did it, but even Collin said he would have taken care of her, had she not lied to him.
My favorite man is Theo Sharpe...with Eloise's footman being in second place. But I'm being scandalous and ignoring social class.
I second that. I'm still rooting for Theolise.
Colin Nambawaaaaan
he gets his shit together pretty quick. He is only 22 in the show people. Once he decides what he wants, he is resolute and does not look back.
colin has way too many red flags to be that high...
I dislike him even more after watching the rest of season 3 😂
Colin is self-righteous and immature.
He gives the icks
I kinda felt Colin only came around after Penelope came clean to the ton and gained approval from the queen. Otherwise, he would've continued living as a separated couple .
Lord Debling was the gentlemanliest character in Bridgerton 😍
In terms of honesty but his expectation that a woman would wait around for three years was a bit selfish. He needed a very good estate manager not a wife
@@cheriedeparis5000It may have been selfish but it’s real. I honestly think that be a lot of people problem when looking for a spouse or a relationship their not selfish enough and settle for something they don’t really want. If more people were honest about what they want out of a relationship and up front with the person or people they are pursuing then people could make informed decisions and their would probably be a lot less miserable relationships or divorces. You should be absolutely selfish when choosing the person you want to spend your life with after all they are the person that’s supposed to add value to your life and situation the compromising and being unselfish happens once you decide to be in the relationship and fall in love with that person and get to know them to care for them and the wants and needs.
@cheriedeparis5000 I agree with you. And sadly Pen would have settle for that because she would have felt that it was the best she could do which is in no way good despite his honesty.
As Pen reads romantic stories I don't believe she would have been truly satisfied with her married life if it was to him especially if he was to constantly be going away for adventures. She wouldn't be really getting to know her 'husband'.
Though I'm not surprised that others big up a character like Lord Debling, the same thing happened in s1 with the Prince who was interested in Daphne.
A perfect male character with seemingly no red flags is always the ideal when true life is usually more complex and complicated than that.
Francesca lucky asf. She snagged herself a man who listens to her and truly a romantic rven if its unconventional. Good for you gurl
Francesca is equally lucky as she is unlucky. I LOVE HER STORY THE MOST❤❤
Perfect 👌🏽 calm, quiet, gentle love.
but I find him ugly, could have taken a better looking actor, same with Lady Danbury's brother as Violet's love interest, both are ugly
I would never rate colin above Benedict…Benedict is the best in terms of sense of humor, compassion, personality and care..
No. Colin is better in kindness.
You do know that Benedict is the worst man of all of them in the books?
Even in the show he feels like a rake - just like Anthony
@@CW-rx2js I haven’t read his book so I dunno about that…I like his character in the show
I 100 % agree!
@CW-rx2js I liked Anthony's book better. Colin's book was a major letdown for me.
Netflix Benedict would never be so charming and playful had book Colin not been so selfless as to grant his brother some of his personality. Now Netflix Colin is even more of a softie than book Colin but never the less - everyone needs a Colin in their lives 😄
In the books all of his brothers rely on him to get relationship advice. Both Anthony and Benedict storm off after an argument with their wives and need Colin to see the things clearly again. And Gregory... Well he just needs a buddy who listens to his love sickness 😂
Everyone always forgets about Theo from season 2. He was very handsome. But, I understand he was not a man out on society. He was my favorite and then it is Collin.
He threw a tantrum at the first sign of Eloise disagreeing with him. I was glad Eloise got rid of him. Red flag
Oh you just struck a memory...I really loved Theo, he's so cute and quite intelligent as well even though he kinda too pushy but I love nonetheless
@@Creativinity7 I wish the footman who escorted Eloise had more screen time. They presented him positively.
Anthony looked so much more handsome and dashing as a gentleman in S2❤❤❤❤
I honestly can’t agree with Colin being number one. Doesn’t anyone remember him telling other men in society how he would never court Penelope? While of course he couldn’t have known that she would overhear this, he knew that this could ruin her even more in society. Pen and her family already had a lot of scandals, this just ruined her public image even more. He doesn’t even properly apologise for this in s3 and never makes any romantic gestures to her like Lord Kilmartin did for Francesca. Hope this changes in part 2 of the series, but for now I can’t see Colin at nr1.
Anthony was so unlikeable in season 1 that I couldn’t root for him in season 2.
Same! I hated him so much I can’t even with S2!
Same here
Hater 🙄
He was also extremely unlikeable in season 2. Edwina was the hero of that season and I'm pissed off that we didn't see her get her happy ending. Edwina is adorable. Kate is cool as the innards of my freezer, too, but Edwina gets extra points for being so sensible while being so young.
Because there’s nothing that makes a man uglier than a bad haircut 👀 👀
Part 2 of 3: my Polin comment because I am that obsessed.
That is what made Penelope and Colin so special to many because their friendship, reaped in scandal, allowed them to see almost everything about each other. They took time building up that trust and foundation for their feelings to grow. I never felt the carriage in the scene in the show and book as Colin compromising Penelope. But the two of them allowing themselves to explore this new side of the relationship that Penelope desired for years and Colin repressing for years.
Not to be hypocritical of the brothel scenes considering many men did this in the time period, but I appreciated that it showed this is not Colin at all because there is no emotional connection there.
I loved how someone pointed out that he kept his eye on the time and did not want to be late meeting Penelope. That showed where his heart actually was and the brothel scenes were him “trying to be what society wanted him to be”. Would I cut like 30 seconds of those scenes out for scenes that progressed their relationship a bit more. Sure, but at least they played a part in his character development.
I do love that he tries to redeem his mistakes with people which shows the sensitive side that Violet spoke about which I feel gets missed by fans.
I could go on forever about him and them, but I will end it here.
What about the late Edmond Bridgerton
I would have put Colin below Benedict and John Stirling.
Damn, I hate knowing that Stirling is going to die. Him and Francesca are so cute.
Benedict ? He was for me to high 😅😂
That's actually a really nice rank. Colin is indeed the best Bridgerton man.
Very informative and interesting video. Thank you for putting this together for us, I appreciate all your hard work and dedication to your channel and viewers . Have a great Friday everyone. Not too long for part 2 of season 3.
Colin is the best! 100% agree
Sorry but your list is wrong. You are missing the most important and greatest man on the list and that is Edmond Bridgerton. I know we only saw his death but his love of Violet and his children is what shaped the family and helped all of them be who they are. he has been dead so long but he is still the center of the family.
An affair with a noble woman would have been scandalous. But if it had been with a woman like the modiste, opera singer or even a courtesan in a swanky brothel that wouldn't be scandalous once they had an Heir or two.
What was the issue with Sienna and Anthony? Could he not marry her? If that’s the case, what’s the difference between marrying her and marrying Kate who didn’t come from wealth, rank, or title?
@BellesView Mostly that his father was dead and was neglecting to take a wife and produce an heir. And that he was meant to be administering his sisters matches and was not being more careful of his reputation while caretaker theirs. And that's basically it.
Honestly the show blew it out of proportion. And I think I was mostly a setup for the future season. Also that's possibly part of the conflict between Sienna and Anthony. He was using the strictest standard of propriety as an excuse. He could have kept her even after marrying whether or not the wife liked it, and most people's objection would only be about the heir. Or if they were indiscreet in public. Most marriages were not love matches. The wife may be the chief complaintant but wives usually preferred a single longterm mistress at a time than brothels. Infidelity of husband's only mattered if they violated a love match or publicly humiliated the wife.
Sorry but putting Collin at the top is just ridiculously wrong.. He‘s selfish, cruel, rude and his actions towards Penelope were just unforgivable.. I did like him the first season but seeing his childish acts all the time was just too much. Even if he didn’t mean to be cruel - he was. And being self-centered and air-headed when saying cruel and unnecessary shit is no excuse.
My forever #1 is Benedict ❤
colin is SO HOT in this season oml. deliver me
RJP is the best No 1
John Stirling would be my personal pick. A man who loves you like you need to. What a gem.
Lord Debling is my favourite. Community of interests 😊
Colin ❤
Colin & Benedict for me.
I get it, the appeal of Anthony/Simon are simply for those girls who want men with title, to fix badboys with trauma & temper.
“i can fix him” 🚩🚩 lol
Maybe we just like bad boys and don't want to change them. Quite the assumption.
Thank you! Someone who shares my opinion about AnTony. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Part 3: Anthony
This is me defending Anthony, but not to defend him just to defend him.
I like how they made him a flawed character that was grappling with his sense of duty and it affected him from maybe proposing to Sienna earlier. He felt he had to sacrifice every desire he had to be the Viscount, to protect his family.
He was also placed into this role when he wasn’t ready. He even had to make the decision of whether his mother should live or the baby because that is what men had to do. I felt he did not even have time to grieve over his father. I can’t imagine that.
When it came to Kate, I am so mixed on that. Bear with me. What he did to Edwina was wrong, but at first, I felt he was happy with doing so when he had that sweet conversation and he listened to her. He also bought a horse for her anxiously and had a smile on his face. Before Daphne went on her spiel, he had the biggest smile on his face and as soon as Kate’s name came up, it faded.
Not justifying what they did, but that scene made no sense to me.
Anyways, it always seemed that Anthony had no qualms expressing his desires for Kate and that scene in the woods where he was actually considering that he and Kate get married and tell everyone the wedding is off showed me he was willing to follow through on that.
Kate, poor Kate. Every time she wished to be selfish and return his affections, someone or something made her back out on that. So Anthony felt forced to continue marrying Edwina. I hate how dragged out this is. Ugh!
I felt his relationship with Kate was very complicated and dragged out. They both had a sense of duty they needed to fulfill and when they finally had sex, it was them being allowed to succumb to their feelings. I think when he woke up to see Kate gone, that was when he would have proposed and then she ran off. This was the one time in his life where he didn’t compromise someone without (lack of a better term) redeeming it.
And he did propose after she woke up from the coma. She refused.
The problem with season 2 was how it dragged on for almost no reason.
But agree with the other reasons why he wasn’t the best love interest. And no I love Kate. Don’t get me wrong. But it was hard, at first to like their relationship because of all the unnecessary (outside Edwina) obstacles that they had to overcome.
Colin and Simon for me ❤
Anthony went through an ordeal and had trauma from the death and Responsibilities of his father
Colin 🤩😊😍
when colin said im a gentleman and your a lady to marina he craved into my heart bc he respected her
but i did call him extremely stupid when he said he wouldnt court pen and when he said he is taking time from women and pen said im a woman and he said ur just pen
Can you please do the can for the women as well.
Benedict… Colin.. Antony…everyone else
Yall forgot the Duke's dad
I don't get the Colin lovefest.
Love can be quiet, but it can't last without passion. Francesca and John have no passion.
Passion fizzles. The quiet love is what actually lasts.
@HawkeyeBrooke been with my husband 23 years. We can be happy just being together but we still tear each other's cloths off all the time. Passion keeps the love alive.
Si tenemos a Benedict en el Número 3, tenemos problemas …
Its always been Colin for me
the way they just roast them sm 😭
crying-screaming-waiting for season 3 part2
Why is Mr.Finch not on the list?😭He must be the best and purely loving man.
Please look how he always treats Philippa!!! Never seen such a kind and earnest gentle man in the show
Colin❤ Totally agree with this list.
Colin hands down. ❤That scene with Colin undressing drove me crazy. He is sexy AF🥰🤣🤣🤣
Out of the romantic leads, Antony is the worst. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
Noooooo he's been the best ❤
@@alisonhagan491How? He's been a horrible person throughout the show.
He’s the best 😍
@paracoco1761 He ain't the best, but definitely not the worst. Lord berbroke is the worst.
@@munaamakihe1148 Berbrook was not a romantic lead.
There seems to be a bit of a difference in what is allowed in Colin’s flaws as compared to his brothers. I have nothing against him and I’m perfectly happy that he has a high ranking. However, he was in fact clueless for the 1st two seasons regarding his feelings for Penelope, even tho he sought her out at almost every assembly. And he made the cruelest comment about how he would never, ever court her while speaking w his peers. Admittedly, he didn’t mean for Pen to hear that but there wasn’t any reason (unless you read the book) for Colin to say this & it just seems randomly obnoxious. Furthermore, he’s clearly jealous of Pen’s writings as Lady W & immediately draws away from Pen without telling her the truth about why he’s left her side. At least in the book, he acts so much better, braver & like a man I’d wish to marry. But my is basically all of these points were mainly brushed aside as if they were nothing or of no import whereas when talking about the other brothers, their flaws were brought out and inspected in broad daylight. And for goodness sake, how on earth did Lord John Stirling and Benedict get rated below Colin? What on earth were considered flaws of either man such that they should be judged below someone with actual flaws that can be articulated? That just baffles the mind. It’s not my ranking of course, & this is JMO, but I’m at a loss as to how those two men ended up below Colin (whom I like a great deal. I just don’t like him the most.)
you're telling me that Lord Debling is higher than King George? This list is funny
This isn't really a defense of Anthony on the whole, but one thing I want to point out is that while it's not great that he was intimate with Kate while not courting her, at the time of the show, she was considered a spinster and not likely on the marriage mart to begin with. Of course, she's still a lady, which doesn't make it ideal, but Kate and Daphne were at two very different points in their lives when their incidents happen.
Benedict is my fave!
What is the criteria? Using an actors "looks" or lack there of, as a character flaw, @00:50. Or did I hear it wrong?
Lord debling is literally the human embodiment of “the bar is on the floor”
Farmer George and Colin all the way!
Colin may have took a long time to discover his feelings for Pen but he did the impossible and followed his heart (just like me and my boyfriend’s story high school classmates and friends but it took me time to discover also that he had a crush on me and waited until we were is college I PROMISE YOU GUYS FRIENDS TO LOVERS TROPE IS AMAZING) ❤️
Ugh I love Colin so much 😫
Agree with the ranking, but would have ranked Prince George higher, like #2
Benedict is the winner for me 🏆😊
My favorite scene will be the one playing with the croquet but in the book is soooo much better!
1st Anthony, long long line…still Anthony. Then Benedict and then…then doesn’t even matter:D
Not being Bridgerton’s male/name but in the series it’s 1st place king George (he was amaaazing character and my heart broke for him).
Had to FF ahead to make sure Colin grabbed the spot he deserved ❤
Colin Bridgerton is the biggest green flag of the men in this show. He is sensitive, caring, respectful, learn from his mistakes, a man of action, very determined and he is the king of consent I just love him so much.
I really expected Prince Friedrich to be #1. He was respectful and romantic and self assured enough not be offended by Daphne choosing another man. He could have pulled rank but he just encouraged Daphne and Simon to respect and love each other and bowed out gracefully.
Also, Benedict > Colin.
Mr. Fitch is the best man in Bridgerton by far.
The Prince in season 1 was also a great guy.
I hate the Mondrich storyline, and I personally wish Francesca's love interest could ve recast. I really wanted the guy from Emily in Paris.
@mshollywod: ohhhh! That actor would have been incredible for the part! ❤
I would agree with list except #4 is # 3 on the list followed by rest order.
I believe that number four will come back in future seasons.
The best man is mr. Finch.
The sideburns really were terrible on Anthony. 😂
A threegy with Anthony and Benedict would suffice, after which I would help myself to a piece of huge cake that they always seem to waste.
The Duke ❤
Part 1 of 3.
First, is anyone surprised Albion Finch is not on this list. I know he and Phillipa don’t get much screen time together, but when they do, they are objectively one of the sweetest couples on screen. They are attached to the hip because of how happy they are together. I hate that the father’s issues had to push them apart at first. And he seems to really respect her which made them having sex beautiful, to be honest. But I also felt they were on each other’s level too when it came to that. They were both equally naive when it came to that, but he didn’t pressure her to do something either.
What rank? If he were on the list, 3. Sorry Bendetict. I am too biased towards Colin and John. They deserve to be 1 and 2.
I am very surprised that Colin is one. Not that I am mad. I wanted to put him there, but I know so many people would have put Bendetict and John as 1 and 2 on their lists.
I actually liked how objective this list is with the reasons. The only ones I would have switched was george and debling. I felt debling was very wishy washy with Penelope and Cressida and kind of led Cressida on a bit which is why I would have put him on 5 and george on 4.
George was a hard one to criticize because while he should have been honest, this is something not only he wanted to hide from people, but his family did too.
From a 2024 lens, it sucks that people can’t court for years or at least more than a couple months before they get married where they can trust the person enough to tell them what is going on with them.
Bendetict was interesting. I felt his sexual side with people was a love language of sorts. He needed that the connection, that spark, of course, but it did not take long to gain that sexual attraction which contrasts Colin who always needed an emotional one.
I'd say the worst would have to be Simon's father.
I liked Simon the first time I watched Season 1 but when I did a rewatch, I really didn’t like him anymore. I think good shows deserve rewatches until you’ve found all the little Easter eggs and subtleties
Kilmartin probably will run away from conflict😅
Not the rhyme, rake before meeting kate😂
Here’s my ranking (and yes I know nobody asked for it 🙄)
1. Colin
2. Farmer George
3. Lord Stirling
4. Benedict
5. Lord Ledger
6. Lord Debling
7. Simon
8. Anthony
9. Lord Danbury
10. Nigel Berbrooke
What about Dankworth and Finch?
Finch is the best🥹🫶 so supportive
Collin Bridegton is not a green flag! He is tropical forest ❤my man always loving and protecting his family and love
he tried but she said i don’t want your money
All the " hounorable men "running to.prostetutes....and then they want a women to make them happy and hounorable..😡.but:
I like King George, who wanted to become healthy and normal for Charlotte, Collins attidute aboute Pen's and his friendship , and Lord Debbling was also a good guy, even if his first love was his work....
The other ones are arrogant players...not dream guys!
We need a Lord Deblin spin off 😍
You should include "subjective" in the title, because that's what most of the video is, really. I feel like you said a lot, but the first things you focused on with all of them was their looks, and some of the "flaws" you mentioned didn't make sense or were a highly subjective topic, like Anthony paying for Benedict to get into the school. You completely disregarding Simon because "he's not the romantic icon everyone thinks he is" is utter nonsense---noone thought that, he avoided everything and everyone, he made it perfectly clear he wasn't the romantic type. The video is riddled with such misguided opinions; and really, we're all allowed our opinions, but don't try to pass them off as facts.
Also, I don't understand people liking Colin. He has always, throughout all of the seasons, been a self-centered jerk who never actually listened to anyone, least of all Penelope, he just liked hearing himself talk and making himself look good even to the detriment of others. He made that abundantly clear at the start of the third season what with all that peacocking around; why is everyone so quick to point out the littlest flaws in other characters but wave his arrogance away? He slept with whores as well, implied he did so on his travels too, but noone mentions that? He has sideburns in season 3 which you mentioned were "ugly" when describing Anthony? How contradictory can people defending him get? Too quickly you dismiss his downright insulting comments to her and others, too easily is his behaviour pardoned because "it wasn't his true self" (well guess what, he still did all those things and say all those things), and the half-assed explanation for it later in the season was so laughably stupid, especially considering were it a different character people would have already be swearing up and down that they're the spawn of devil. Is it the face and newly acquired set of abs? That'd be quite superficial, I must say, but I simply cannot see anything else that would be redeeming him of the abovementioned nonsense. Please, enlighten me.
Daphne assaulted him so she is my least favourite character. She did something that would be criminal these days but then we were expected to see her as a victim. No.
