They’re a lot richer since Selena passed away, that I can tell you. Her father is a money hungry piece of shit and I’m sick of people feeling sorry for him. He could’ve saved his daughter and did nothing with all this “embezzlement evidence” he claimed to have. The one time his daughter needed him, he didn’t intervene like he normally would in her personal life. Selena was a beautiful angel that didn’t deserve how she was treated. She was too good for this shitty world. Chris was treated like shit too. I don’t care what anyone says, I see Abraham for who he is. Don’t bother trying to convince me otherwise.
She was and has remained so popular because she was real, immensely talented and authentic, and people will always wonder what she might have done had we been gifted with her presence.
The family stole this from Chris. He had a deal and Abraham sued him. I was/am a hardcore Selena fan. But what the family did is completely wrong. It'd be nice to see how Chris would have shown the side of Selena only he saw.
The father sued Chris for giving his side with his book ummm fuck that shit Chris is who I see that genuinely cared and loved her not for her talent but for her and he still does it’s as if he died along with her and that is not what I see with his family there is more to it but Chris is not like them so he doesn’t stirr shit up or cares to he’s not greedy either like her father.
I just got chills 30 seconds forward. When they played her music, man, so many childhood memories with the family in Corpus!!! I'm 28 now, and I remember my mom and sisters jamming her music, and all her songs were straight FIRE!!! So much emotions, culture, talent, desire, and passion. Again, timeless. My mother passed in 2015, from Ovarian Cancer, so this hits home. This is my childhood man, one of the soundtracks to my life growing up. It was played around me so often, and it reminds me of my mothers side of the family. Good memories...
I agree! JLo had a lot of similarities with Selena. Both come from Latin backgrounds and both were born in the USA. I believe that is why JLo did so well she had a lot in common. JLo did Selena justice in the movie she portrayed Selena in such a beautiful way I was so proud that she was a good actress.
I was 9 when she was killed. It broke my heart. Her music and the enchantment that she made people felt while hearing her music was so magical. It's so beautiful to see her legacy stay alive. ❣️
No... they could've done music with HER... Selena would have been like nothing you've ever seen if she survived and this is coming from a black woman from Kentucky who remembers her catapult. She was a clear force when she came on the scene! Jlo... has nothing on that young lady...

She's the most kindest person!! And the love of the people for her is unquestionable!! We will remember her until we get old and that is for sure! Selena will always live in our hearts and minds through her music! Big thanks to her family and netflix for letting this generation know about Selena.
Selena's family needs to let her R.I.P all they are doing is living off of her. Its a shame that they can't find anything of their own to do and all of them are still living off Selena

Even bigger I think,..shes like the Beyoncé in the Latina world. Probably would’ve even gave Beyoncé a run for her money ☺️
HIghligh doubt jlo would even be this big if she had not played selena
JLO can't sing.
Or like Gloria Estefan & Thalia
She was a powerhouse in general
She was murdered 2 years before I was born and I keep on thinking about what would have been if she was alive today. She was an incredible performer and Selena was such a beautiful soul. She graced this earth with her presence and made everyone she encountered feel good about themselves. I may be only 23 but she has always been a huge inspiration to me and just like a lot of other people she means a lot to me. Selena is still very much missed💜
"Selena's family speaks out 25yrs after her death"...um, they literally never stop.
Can you blame them?? That's their daughter/sister.
Money hungry
THE DAD SUED CHRIS TO STOP WORKING ON A SERIES AND THEN PRODUCED THIS SERIES AFTER CHRIS’S PROJECT WAS STOMPED INTO THE GROUND AND COMPLETELY HALTED
They don’t want Chris’s side of the story to be shared... it’s really sad!
Whats even more sad is the series has horrible character development of Selena herself along with Chris it’s been taken over by the story of her family instead smh
Chris’ book really humanizes Selena. The series lacked that and it is more about Abraham and her family. 🙄 Abraham doesn’t want anyone else to tell things from their perspective.
What’s crazy is they’re setting him up for the biggest book deal ever
Im planning buying his book actually better do it fast if they take it out
I feel like people don't understand how big she was at 23. Just imagine if she never died. I'm 20 years old btw.

@@EclecticElegance13 I’m just being honest that y’all worship a human over what just her music!? Like if she wasn’t famous and just a regular latina would it even matter if she died? like would y’all be sad? No because you wouldn’t know her she only know for her famous music and makeup lines. She now a just bones and ashes she dont exist anymore...
She was big to Latinos but not in mainstream terms. She had crossed over after death to wider recognition.
@@ayuanabradford3206 I mean I wouldn’t say people worship her. But it’s the same way people feel about Aaliyah. It’s the loss of life for no reason. The fact that she’ll never reach the pinnacle she could have because her life was taken so callously. People are sad over Kobe. It doesn’t matter who they were. If they were a hero to someone you can’t discount their feelings and say who gives a f*** just because YOU don’t care. Have some compassion. And as someone who lost their order brother a few months ago so unexpectedly, the answer to your question is yes. I would still care even if she was a regular person. Because she was a young woman with a lot of life left to live.
@@EclecticElegance13 I’m not saying her death is not sad as i understand the pain and lost something thing like this happened to famous people they either A) committed suicide because they was bully by jealousy and hate, B) killed by someone base on jealousy and hate or C) drugs kill them as alot of famous people lost life over the three thing i listed but yeah your right a death is sad and it cruel how she die not saying i agree with her death.
They speak out???? How many times do y’all have to ask the family how they feel??? How do you think they feel
What else are they supposed to ask them?
@@rickr949 NOTHING!

Twenty-five years already?! Whoa. That time flew. I heard her songs as they emerged and loved the music. Peace be her journey.
She was and has remained so popular because she was real, immensely talented and authentic, and people will always wonder what she might have done had we been gifted with her presence.
You never know 😢
Every time I see something about Selena I cry , her voice was so powerful 😔 she will live forever in my heart ♥️
wow- What a HUGE loss. Her voice was incredible. I am still a fan! The family was incredible- Kudos to the family
Jlo killed it though that's all I'm go say!
say what you will jlo she is definitely good if not great dancer. Got her Charisma in stage.
Selena the movie > Selena the series
Jlo should have been on the series for sure 💕💕👯♀️
Jlo did kill it . I’m not really liking the series on Netflix the acting not great
She was the diva And still is. It’s so sad that that happened. She had a lotta life to live. She’ll forever be remembered
Imagine everything she coulda done all these years, probably done music together with Enrique Iglesias pitbull Jlo Mark Anthony etc.
100%
Jlo wouldn’t have been famous if she didn’t die....
No... they could've done music with HER... Selena would have been like nothing you've ever seen if she survived and this is coming from a black woman from Kentucky who remembers her catapult. She was a clear force when she came on the scene! Jlo... has nothing on that young lady...
