Fell in love with Selena and her music from the first time I heard it unfortunately after her death in 1995...still listen to her music and will love it forever.💟
I did too, I never heard of SELENA but I have every cd, posters, dvd, album, and apparel from the museum. Have her dad's book too. I hope someday I can visit the museum and SELENA'S resting place. I miss her so much.

It still breaks my heart that she’s no longer with us. “Dreaming of You” was the first album I bought when I was 11 years old back in 1995 and to hear her now with this song brings a beautiful light in such dark times we are in.

Hearing Selena music is one of my first memories as a child of around 4ish.

Oh my gosh this makes me want to cry! I cant wait to hear her voice again. I used to listen to her music when I was a little girl & I remember watching the news with my sister when she was murdered. She was a golden heart in a cruel world, such an impactful presence.
I love Selena, la reina del Tex Mex. Back when i was younger i played in a band that covered her songs. Im no longer in any band but still enjoy playing and listening to her music every now and then. Rip Selena.

I remember being a kid in san jose ca laying at night on my bed during a hot summer...my windows open...a slight breeze against my face while listening to "dreaming of you" by selena...it was the most magical moment that i cherish to this day! I love this woman, she was so beautiful and she looks like a girl that i see in my neighborhood or in my class...so relatable!

I was 16 yrs old and had no idea who she was.
I was captivated when I saw her, heard her, and how people reacted about her.

That's awesome! Same for me at the fair in either 93 or 94. Briefly spoke to her and had no idea who she was or that not too long afterwards she passed away until the movie came out and I connected the dots. I was devastated

WOW 27years. Never knew of Selena till I saw the movie, what a beautiful soul. No one could have played or honored Selena's memory better than Jennifer Lopez. Selena so beautiful and talented, rest in peace.
I have the biggest respect for Selena’s family, her siblings, her husband, her band mates, her fans everyone really who kept her memories, her legacies her triumph everything she is she was not be forgotten. 27 years and she’s still in the spotlight everyone is jamming to her songs she’s love and respected and touched by millions of fans from all over the world as she should be. Selena’s passing away was tragic, unnecessary and heartbreaking and will honor and love her for many generations to come, she’ll be love and remember Always🌹🎶🥲
My mom listened to her when she was a little girl and when she had me and my sisters she always played her music. I grew up listening to her and learning about her story. Selena has been a part of my life since I was born

I was 16yrs old.
My mom said she saw her in Feb., 1995, in our neck-of-the-woods, in Palmetto, Florida.
I was talking to my sister today, and she said she wanted to go. My mom had told her that she would take her the next time, as she would come again.
She never did.

@@VeeAmericanEagle my dad was stationed at the base. We lived in these blue apartments by an heb. My mom drove my sister and friends to a massive gorgeous wooden park. So many people showed up in downtown area. Crazy to be 8 and remember so much. I loved mexican culture and I don't know what it's about but it seems like Mexicans love inviting me to party even if I'm just a Stanger walking on a side walk. As a stranger at least 50 times I've been invited for food and 🍻

I grew up with her music. When I was a toddler, she was the only non-christian singer I heard. I’d dance and sing and pretend I was here. But when she died, my mom told me and I didn’t get it. She was the one secular artist that I can credit to my love for music.
For us Latinos in Texas it was horrible horrible the way she died .. we still feel the pain today ..

I listened to Selena in 1991 when i was 5 years old, i have been her fan since 1991 now i am 36 years and i still love her. When she was killed in 1995 i was 9 years old and it was awful because my dream was to go one of her concerts in Mexico , which never happened. I cried when she passed away. I remember in january 1995 i found an address in furia musical magazine , it was the Selena's club fan, i wrote a letter to her and i went to the mail office and i sent a letter, i am not sure if she read it, Selena is still an icon for us Mexicans and Latinos. I am gonna visit her museum.

I was 15 when Selena passed ,her music is what I jammed to or sang to when I had my 1st crush. Life back then was simple and fun. I still remember exiting school that day just to find my brother waiting for me. He tells me I'm sorry to tell you but Selena has been murdered. I just could not believe it. Once home the news was all on it. It was true ..my Selena was gone💔
