They’ve even turned down many big projects because they didn’t want there to be profit. The family doesn’t rely on Selena to make a living either and they each have their own jobs. They clearly made this out of love for Selena and for the newer generation of fans and Selena would love it. People wanna make stories up of this family so bad 🙄

@@strawberrybbt1362 suzette did the collaboration with MAC and was paid for that. A.B profits off of her music for being a writer. Also the whole family got cuts of the production of the movie and series. They sued Chris to not release his book because they OWN her image.
The whole reason the movie was made is so no one profited off them. If this was about Fandom they wouldn't be getting shops on etsy to pull product because it is and Image of selena.

Even now, over 27 years after her passing, Selena is out - selling many current artists. That's virtually unheard of in the world of music. And, did you know that, among her other achievements, Selena is the only female musical artist to ever have 5 albums on the charts at the same time? Only Elvis, The Beatles, and Garth Brooks have done the same. Amazing!

We are not critics. We are realistic and the rest of you may be blind, but Selena does not live on. She is gone. Her family lives on using her name and music to earn money. This is great. I loss my sister in 91 and I would love to be able to hear her voice again , in any capacity. Her birthday was July 24th and I still tear up thinking about her not being here. This has to be hard and great for them at the same time.

I was 6 when she passed away and I’m now 33. My favorite memories as a kid was dancing , singing and dressing like Selena. I saw her for the first time in “dos mujeres un camino” an old Spanish novela and I was instantly drawn to her. I even had her Barbie that looked nothing like her 😂 today she is literally everywhere and her fan based has grown much much more. I hope little girls are inspired to be as care free as she was. I know she made me feel like being silly wasn’t something I should be embarrassed about

I remember the day so clearly. It was heartbreaking. She was such a talented young woman. It saddens me still to think her life was just starting and there was so much promise for a successful career and happy family life with her husband. I love the way her voice moves you. I ❤️ Selena so much. I barely know Spanish, yet her voice and music soothes my soul. She was like an old soul in a beautiful young body, sharing her incredible talent.
Watching Selena when I was younger taught me how to speak Spanish/Espanol well. She was definitely a role model growing up!

I was a little girl, maybe 7 or 8 and I watched the Selena movie with my cousin and ever since been into her as a Mexican-American girl and now woman. It’s incredible that even after all these years there is still music coming. I wasn’t born yet during her time so being able to experience this now is awesome!

Selena was fighting for her family, legacy, and to be mentioned amongst her peers as one of the greats. No one believes for a second that she would've wanted her Legacy to die with her, or would have dissaproved of her family being able to *"cash in"* on their hard work.

The Quintanilla family is doing a beautiful thing for Selena. We will always love her. I did not have the opportunity to take a picture with her when I saw her in Texas in the early 90s at a park where she was performing, but this wonderful memory will forever live in my heart. There was a crowd, I was dancing to her music while holding my baby, she smiled and waved at us.

I love that her music will be playing on radios for this generation and upcoming generation because when her wonderful albums was out it was in my mom era now this one will be in mine and my daughter upcoming generation ❤. The series made me fell in love with Selena music more and got me into her albums.
