    Great design, I used it for my Swiss Army knife worked fantastic. Then I used it for my trucks key fob that kept falling off the ring. Worked brilliantly! Keep up the good work.

    I made one for my Victorinox Ranger. It looks really nice, awesome idea! However, the corkscrew gets stuck behind the paracord. The sheath still functions well nonetheless. I tried loosening up the wrappings on the side of the sheath which made it a bit better. So if you have a SAK with corkscrew a different diy sheath might be preferable if you want/need your SAK to be quickly deployable. Thank you and greetings from NL!

      You can add a glasses adjusting screwdriver to your cork screw. That would prevent it from wrapping in the cords.

    I love this! I’ve seen the other paracord wrapped stuff but I never thought of a sheath for my Swiss Army knife. I carry mine loose in my bag so I always get “purse lint” in the crevices of my knife. It also gets scratched up from my spring action knife I keep in there too haha. This is perfect. I want to try a to cross the cords on the side but I’m thinking it might snag more. One way to find out.. thanks!

    You can do it without the fid, you just need to make the tip small and burn it. Great tutorial! But how do you make the lanyard on the knife?

    I just finished mine and it looks great! Too bad I made it for a cheap SAK, but I sharpened the little knife, and it's surprisingly sharp. It took me about and hour to complete.
    My two cents: I don't have any fid, so my advice for people who also don't own fids would be to use a 2 mm nail to loosen up the knots then to gut about half an inch of each cord ends and to burn their tip to give them a nice pointy tip to act as a needle; make it about half an inch long, so you have enough rigidity to go through each loop. It worked wonder for me.

    I varied the weave on the sides to maintain cobra knot (is it called that?), leaves less side gaps and looks awesome as well. When starting the side at the top, go across, through the loop and back to the origin loop. Should have the cord loops have 2 runs and should resemble a snake. Just a thought.

    After all the adjustments are made, the loose ends at the bottom of the case can be fed thru the bottom most cobra weave. After that they can be tied into a decorative Diamond knot at the bottom. Remember, if it’s worth doing, it’s worth over doing.

    Great tutorial. I was advised to pick up crochet to help with PTSD. So, i found Weavers of Eternity as a compromise... One frustration, not having used paracord like this since i was a Boy Scout(20 years ago), I’ve wasted a lot of paracord and time by not having enough cord for the project I’m working. I understand the used cordage will vary some bqsed on knot tightness and other factors. Could you add the length of cord used as a guidepost in the descriptions? I think its the only constructive critical comment i could make. You have a good temperament and tonality for this.. from a business standpoint, you might consider getting a directional boom mic and venture into ASMR videos??

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  4 роки тому +2

      Thanks for the feedback! Few people are able to give constructive criticism and I appreciate your comments. I always have the measurements used in the first 30 seconds or so of the video, but I'll definitely start adding them to the description. As for the ASMR, I've been meaning to get into that! Still deciding on what I want to do as a first project for that.
