Happy New Years Eve Yall!
I shot this in one take but looking back at the list: I think I would move Zabu, Silk, Modok is right on the bubble
(shout out to Anihilius I forgot to put up, but obviously goes up a tier! )
Annihilus is perfect. I might even put him in the top.
For the most part I agree with your rankings. I think I would have put Legion in the top tier and I would move Echo up a tier to the perfect card. Low cost and it shuts down a lane in the current meta. Good video. Well done sir.
I think you crushed it
@@kzmagmais Legion NOT SERIES 5???
I’m confused, why Cozy say that??
@@Kermode48delusional
When they nerfed Angela, kitty pride, and Elsa bloodstone I was very sad.
I'll never understand why Ghost-Spider gets crapped on so much. Anyone who plays Move will tell you she was a godsend for the archetype. I think she should be in the Situationally Good tier.
The problem is that Ghost Spider may be good for Move, but Move has never been, and never will be (without a major push forward) viable. I'm bummed about it, since I think Move is fun, but Second Dinner seems to refuse to let the traditional Move decks ever be good.
@@michaelbesser5348move will get its time just like destroy had
There are uses outside of Move. For example, using Viper to send a negative card, then Ghost Spidering her away, then Galactusing that location.
There are a few uses for ghost spider outside of move . I just feel like a lot of people lack creativity because people just tend to copy and paste content creator decks. And won’t think a card is good unless a UA-camr tells them it’s good lol
Move was supposed to be that kind of archetype that is a pain in the S to learn how to play well, but once you do, it should be a monster to beat, due the unpredictability.
I would say my top three cards in 2023 were
1. Nico Minoru - the versatility she brings is what makes her so fun. Really loved how they made use of her Staff of One for this
2. Legion - for pure chaos/control you can bring by swapping every location to the one that favors you
3. X-23 - Purely because I love destroy as an archetype so having her Day 1 was well worth it
Think Black Knight definitely has the potential to see even more play. He's being played a whole lot now as well
Now just imagine when February hits.
This is the kind of channel you can come to for comfort. Drinkin’ a lil hot chocolate by the fire. Just learning and vibing. This is good times. Thanks, Cozy!
I got ranked 7000 US after seasons of hitting infinite with my own deck. It was a Hawkeye rocket bounce deck. Took a break but holy crap your content has gotten so good for a game! If you're the editor you're amazing if not give him a raise. You deserve more subs!
It's all him! Really impressive work, huh!
I feel like Stegron is the most underrated card in Snap. He can be so incredibly disruptive if played right
I used to play him in Cerebro 5, and absolutely loved him there, but ever since his buff I haven't found a reason to use him
he really shines in metas where onslaught or wong are present
@@gerryjunior1300 lets be real, steg was nerfed with the move changes. it used to be a guaranteed hit for 4 energy as opposed to the conditional one by the 3 cost jug. shame.
@@gerryjunior1300 surely you mean nerf....ever since they took away the ability to move unrevealed cards hes not that great anymore. Just pain..
I think the way you fix Kang is he gets to stay on the board after he rewinds the turn. Make him 5/2 or 5/3. Then he might see play in decks like C2/C3 with essentially a free character on the board.
that's would actually be a good change
does anyone really want Kang fixed...? haha
@@jasonweibel9107 yes. kang is such a cool character. his card should reflect that
1:00 I can answer why Sauron was slept on!
This was before Shuri was nerfed to only affect her lane. Back when Sauron came out, Shuri would double the power of the next card you played regardless of where you played it. This meant that you could use Cosmo and Armor to protect both of your lanes. You had to choose between Cosmo and Sauron back then, and Cosmo was generally just better. Sauron mostly came to be an innovation to the deck after Cosmo didn't work anymore.
He was underrated on release when zabu reduced by minus 2 . Sauron was underrated because Shang-chi was kinda underplayed because of double-spider-man, and surfer ducking priority
@paulakroy2635 He wasn't used during the Zabu heyday, sure, but I more meant after Zabu was nerfed. There was a period when Shuri and Thanos were the best decks, then Thanos was nerfed and it was just Shuri, after the Zabu nerf. During that period, Sauron still wasn't used because it was pretty much just worse than playing a Cosmo to make your Shuri target really hard to do anything about. The only real counter to Cosmo with Shuri was Negasonic, which was a bad card at the time because her effect destroyed herself also and was thus rarely owned.
That’s an amazing special video format! Would love to see this every year or maybe twice a year if there is any updated information
Thanks fo your thoughts very helpful, happy new year 🎉
Happy new year cozy!
Happy New Year's, Cozy! Looking forward to a snappy 2024!
I mostly agree with the list, I think if I were to move a couple it would be Master Mold up, thanks to the Ronan buff he see's more play and is a better card then the other junk in that bottom row. I'd also move Sauron down, he's good for sure but seems like the he's locked into one archetype way more than the other cards in that ranking which can all work in multiple builds. Happy New Year Cozy!!
My only counter argument would be that Sauron’s one archetype is really good making up for the lack of flexibility. The Shuri decks have been really strong for many months so I think he’s good where he’s at
I was surprised when you and Alex thought Blob was going to be good but not that good. He was my favorite for this month before release. I always saw him as being amazing in Thanos
Would love a video on the different changes cards have gone through. I started playing in August and it’s always fun to hear how much cards have changed from before I played
I think it'd be cool if the added something like after you play Kang, he leaves behind Victor Timely, and he's like a 2/3 so you get some direct advantage.
why victor timely? and not nathaniel richards or his immortus version?
@11kimczi I was going off a version most people know now and doesn't really have any "powers".
That would be amazing ! Hope they do that
That sounds dope! Or what if they make him similar to thanos. Where at the beginning of the match he adds cards of his variants to the deck. And each one has his own ability (that aren’t too op ofc)
@@charzi_5357Yeah, just like they did with chavez. Get a full rework. I like your idea, depending the card text or variants, it could create a new archetype
Legit forgot Martyr was even in the game… Have not seen that card once since release
love these list videos. great job cozy!!!
Awesome, happy new year!!! 🎉
I played Ghost in a Kitty Pryde deck. It was there to prevent Kitty from being targetable while I was ramping her up.
Great video pretty fun being reminded about the cards we got this year
🎉 Happy New Year! 🎉 Thank you for all your content, Cozy. You made Snap so great for me. I need to give the game a hiatus, but just wanted to thank you and bid farewell for now. Peace.
You're right Cozy Black Bolt needs his point back and ill add Stature too. In the current day meta they wouldn't be OP.
Stature is fine as it is, but Black Bolt got to be buffed back
Happy New Year, and thanks for the video. My most hated card tends to be in flux, depending on which deck(s) I've lost against most recently. ;)
Stegron is underrated. I have won many a match monkey wrenching them with the Stegmeister!!
I would argue that X-23 is god tier. I hit infinity the same day I bought and used that card
I definitely don’t play Jean Grey enough but I love using her in a Guardians of the Galaxy deck!
I agree with most of the list with one major exception: Howard! I truly think his main issue is people not having him. Knowing if Iron Lad is going to hit your Ms. Marvel or Iron Man can be a total snap condition, and in my experience, happens enough to justify running him.
I've tried to beat Infinity Conquest every season since they started, and only did so once (with a bounce deck in June). This changed for November when Howard was the random S5 card from a spotlight cache. He was the missing piece in the Tribunal deck I was brewing (not one of the meta ones). I used him to play Iron Lad into Iron Man in my last match, and I got my second Infinity Conquest!
So yes, I am a Howard believer! He may not be one of the best cards, but he is perfect as-is imo
Or you can hit Howard with Iron Lad and then you just cry
Yeah, I only recently picked him up, but I've found Howard to be super useful, especially with Iron Lad and Hela decks. Also, he's Howard the Duck! What's not to love?
Like spider-ham people just instantly played him the second you drew him when people should have waited till later to be sure the opponent has a win condition.
I slept on Jeff and Iron Lad when they first released, didnt pull Jeff on both his caches and then finally gave in and spent the 6k to get him, such a great card. I was lucky enough to not have any of the cards for Iron Lads recent Cache and spent all my keys to get him, 2 great cards for sure.
Legion was one I personally thought was going to be trash at release but then became my favorite card of the year, albeit was better pre Luke Cage nerf.
I definitely agree with you on the this tier list. Love you videos and look forward to more for 2024.
Happy New Year
I'm a Nimrod truther. I love the card and if anyone is interested read House of X / Power if X.
happy new year everyone
Master Mold in the same tier as Kang is wild but agreed with most else.
It’s accurate though, he is one of the worst cards of the year
@@frommarstosirius He's under several cards that don't have viable decks while he's a good choice for Ronan. And Mold will get even more obnoxious with Gamesmaster.
If you showed me this list at the end of last June, I would've called you crazy for having Shadow King, Negasonic, and Snowguard well above Kitty, Hitmonkey, MODOK, and Spiderham! Really interesting to see how much the game has changed since then!
I hope they keep Jeff and Iron Lad as is, I like being able to slot them into nearly any deck
Love this type of video!
I heard someone say kang could be decent in shenaut to play on t6 to make sure they don't have a way of killing your limbo.
Thoughts? As a shenaut player this feels like it would work, but who knows
I used Howard for a while in my Hela deck and it was really helpful so I could see if I wanted to use Jubilee or not
You should’ve done this on the Snapchat, you and Alexander Coccia always work well together, and if you disagree it’s funny watching you guys duke it out. But this was a good video, HAPPY NEW YEAR🎉
Pretty much where I'd rate them too, only switch i would make is switch modok with jean grey
Great list. And I for the most part agree. I need High EVO in my deck.
This was would be a awesome segment every year!
17:47 people forget about discard decks since that’s where Daken usually goes
Then again discard is kinda ehh
And silver samurai is pretty good in Hela lockjaw
I'd say Jean Grey could be higher, easily feels like an incredibly powerful card if you're playing her in a deck where it's not a negative to you
Insane video Cozy on top
great review as an overall blast from the past - last week of savage lands was when i started playing. didnt want to invest in the past....kicked myself as i didnt get zabu for awhile lol
I really love Marvel Snap and Marvel Snap is my favorite mobile game of all time, but i don't have all of these cards what Cozy Snap have i wish i could have Loki, Aliloth, Ravonna, Mobius, Stegron, Hit-Monkey, Ghost spider, Zabu, Havok, Nimrod, Black Knight, Silver Samurai, Jeff, Gladiator, and Nebula that may be a lot but that is just i want all of these cards that i really want.
Oh And also Happy New Year
Got it pretty much right on (especially with Jean Grey) except I think Ghost Spider should bump up one tier and Gladiator should bump down one tier. . . And maybe Annihilus goes up to take Gladiator's place... maybe.
Just realizing I started playing the game in August during Daken week.
So I had one month to learn the game then I had to deal with Loki and Alioth with my Devil Dino deck. I really survived that😂😂😂
😬
😂😂😂😂😂
I sometimes use Kang, and he's pretty good sometimes actually. I'd put him in situationally good maybe.
they still need to make new cards easier to get imo. Like make series 4 like 1000 tokens and series 5 like 2000 or 3000 even. 6000 is just so steep for cards that carry metas OR make it so you can pick what you want from the spotlight cache.
Maybe 2000 and 4000 is more realistic
Howard might be buff given that he will show in a spotlight. the similar thing happened with Snowguard
Tier lists are more fun in tandem imo for the additional debate and banter
Great video though, happy holidays!
10:48
It’s all fun and games until you hit Dr. octopus or you hit one of the goblins or hit Ebony Maw, or anything you would rather hit with Sauron.
Zabu was the best card on release for my opinion
This kind of shows how well balanced the game is. The top row does feel strong while doesnt really need a nerf, only the last 2 Rows are the buffable cards. Other than that the game is crazy well balanced
And 2099 should be more like lady DS when he moves once only destroy all cards weaker but that might be op even as a 4/4
I'd put Black Knight as a Perfect Card for sure. Probably my favorite in the game.
Now I regret not opening for Loki, Tribunal and Gladiator when I could
Jeff has been my most played card every season since he launched, and I don't even play the same deck or style of deck much...
The reason no one used Sauron in Shuri was because you could use Cosmo and he was infinitely better.
Its kinda sad how they just nerfed season pass cards to the ground as soon as everyone could get a hold of them without having to pay
Legion sneaks into top tier at the end 😂
I like the list. Myself I like shana in kill monger death destroy decks honestly.. I'd put her in situational myself. Bc she gives you 3 1 drops and if you are also running knull its better than squirrel girl you can also hit a squirrel girl with shana its not garonteed but the effects going of are really good ice man pig and a 23 ive had in games.. Ive also had zero maw selene soo yeah..
Here's to another year of goated content!
i want to like jean grey but she doesnt seem to do it for me. Lets see a Jean deck cozy!
Damn hit-monkey really took a dive. I remember it being one of the better new cards and after nerfs its here on cozys rarely used tier.
Quality list! However, I think Annihilus belongs in the top tier.
I myself don't particularly like playing with him, but there's something to be said for a card that has no possible drawbacks in the way his schtick operates. Not only is he one of the least volatile higher-cost cards in the game...but he's also one of the most potentially devastating to boot. That's pretty crazy.
Clarification: The card can *become* volatile depending on what other cards are used in conjunction with it...but the card itself isn't inherently volatile. *Ms. Marvel thumbs up
What's crazy is with Caiera dropping today Dazzler can potentially be a good card now.
I only got 24 out all of these cards shown by Cozy here. Damn I am missing the train
This list is pretty good, but there are a few things I disagree with. I think Shadow King should be dropped 1 tier as he is only good against some decks. Aloith I'd drop too. Since the Nerf it isn't quite as terrifying. Stature needs to be dropped too. She only works in Black Bolt decks and at a 6 power she doesn't do a lot anymore.
My favorite card of the year is Nico. She is just so much fun and brings a lot to each deck.
This topic would be good for a podcast 😊
The fact that he ranked all 54 cards in 2023 shocks me
Probs would swap elsa and silver samurai. Samurai is a good tool for regulating lower power cards goblins and iron man come to mind
Here’s a video idea cozy. You’re a Pokemon player right? Do you know the channel FalseSwipeGaming? They do “how good was ______ actually”. You can do the same like “How good was Leader actually” and basically go through the card’s history.
Negasonic being the greatest comeback in the year is crazy
I think jean grey is a bit high on the list, very rarely seen play and stat wise shes a bit underwhelming, othwerwise the list is very good (with the few changes you noted on the pinned comment)
Wow, I just realized I only started playing Snap 3 months ago and have all the god tier cards.
Here's to a new year of snap!
when will you release that agatha draft battle with Alex coccia
Second dinner should just make Kang a 2 cost or 3 cost. I know Kang's cost doesn't seem to have an impact on his playability, but it actually does. If you play Kang the turn you draw him, you'll draw a new card when the turn restarts, since kang gets removed from the top of your deck. This mean that kang just makes your deck more consistent if you play him on the turn you draw him. If he was lower cost, you'd be able to do that more often and he'd be more playable. I can see him being a good replacement for America Chavez in some decks, seeing as she's gone now. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she got changed so they could replace her with Kang.
I loved Echo, it's amazing how they made a card that not only cancel future ongoing cards from your enemy, but is also invisible to them
I've been waiting on the 6000 tokens for months to get her, I guess I'll be waiting until 09/01 now
Honestly think Shanna and Dazzler deserve much more love. They're not solid by any means but situationally good? Absolutely; gotten a ton of rank-ups with Dazzler / Shanna decks especially as no one expects them to be played though definitely see that changing with the Planet Hulk season. Outside of that, damn good list.....great content as ever.
I think you're underrating ghost spider and daken a bit. My three favorite cards of the year zabu, Nico and pre Nerf Elsa.
Three less favorite cards loki, alith and post nerf Elsa.
How is molt not situationally good now, espacially with ronan. His placement is wild bro
I worked Shana on destroy deck but yeah if Shana pulled out Zero it's a GG for me 😂
Great vid!
I will say tho, jean grey is about as used and as useful as Spidey 2099. At least from what I can see
Kang needs some kind of upside , his animations are worthy to be seen more often
I think Spider-Man 2099 should specifically target a 2 or 3 cost card
I think he should proc a max of 2 times. Moving him twice should help with move deck synergy and add some much-needed power to his effect/ability.
Whoa whoa whoa, A lot of marvel fans know who nimrod is, especially people who read comics like me, he is an important part of x men history and most recently infiltrated the hellfire gala and killed a bunch of mutants. In all seriousness, great video.
I love you, Cozy, but Sauron right next to Zabu? C’mon!
I still can’t believe I saved my tokens up for high evo but then decided to buy kang instead. Smh
I really like Elsa bloodstone when she came out. The she got nerfed and I am hoping she gets changed back cause. I don’t want to buy anymore season pass cards if the get nerfed like she did
Problem with seasson pass cards is they have to be good or interesting so people actually want to buy them so the trend is to make them alittle too strong. If they are problematic they have to change it. It began with zabu. He was extremely busted on release. When they nerfed him there was a huge topic whether they should nerf seasson pass cards or not since people actually bought them with real money. Right after silversurfer ( He was broken aswell) and zabu they had to tune down alittle bit so they introduced mediocre or even bad Nimrod xd
My mid 2023 self is floored that snow guard ended up better that Kitty
Ms marvel should have her own tier i cant even remember last game i didnt play against her its disgusting.....
3 months playing this game and got all the god tier cards this year.
I'd put Negasonic to Solid and Selene to Not terrible. For the rest I'm pretty aligned with you.
