@@selchlightwarden814 I’m definitely playing a lot more of it myself recently. Also, I appreciate your combo videos. They’re very helpful and cool to watch!
I really liked FF16 when i played it on PS5 when i see gameplay like this definitely does make me feel like i didnt truly understand the combat and stuff but i think its cool how much depth there wes even if i myself didnt fully tap into it while playing good video have a great day
I got the Berserker Ring later in the game. Although it's a very useful accessory since you can perform limit break attacks after a precision dodge, I don't rarely use it because I can do is limit break mid air + jump cancel for a fast paced action gameplay like the Devil May Cry Games, and I had alot of DMC experience.
I used to not like using the Berserk Ring until I realized you could jump cancel out of the dodge animation if you're close enough to an enemy. And the amount of animations you can cancel out of with enemy step in general is honestly pretty insane.
I think people really go out of their way undersell the rpg aspect of this game. Even in base game you had meaningful gear changes like the Berserker Ring and Swiftshot ring. One of which gave you LB normals which are incredibly good for parries, and the other which massively boosted your combat speed by basically letting you use charged magic at will. Post DLC gear is even better and the loadout of fully ranged Eikons and Gear I’m using lets me beat the games hardest content without swinging Clive’s sword even once. I also find it weird how people act as if they were blindsided by the game not being a strategy RPG, at no point were the Devs or Trailers deceptive, you knew exactly what it was you were getting
@@eltigreduarte8977 The accessories in this game can do a lot for Eikons and the DLC's improve on them by a large margin for sure. But yeah, they did market it as the first “true action RPG” in the series. And even though it isn’t deep in those RPG mechanics, that statement still holds true.
I already have it + dlc on ps5. If they had made it for pc and xbox, too, in day one, they would have made so much more money. Anyway, i really like this game even if it feels like a magic based DMC (The good numbered once, not that excuse of a copy)
@@MoreLimitless_ No. There is no dedicated parry in FFXVI. There are deflects (timing your sword swing/using Torgal's abilities) but no button where Clive brings up his sword to parry. Had this game have a dedicated parry button, I'd be much more into it. But I guess DMC combat director doesn't know how to program parries.
If you haven't already, try upgrading your base Phoenix move sets in the middle of the skill tree so that your base attacks feel more efficient. The number one thing I can recommend is to spend time in the training area to get comfortable with your setup and the combat itself. Follow the tips in the video if you want, and see if you improve!

Definitely give it a shot, especially for the boss fights and combat alone.

Parrying should've been like in Kingdom Hearts
@@Giggles_iJest I haven’t play the KH series in a while but don’t the parries in those games effectively work the same way they do here?

The fighting is hard to get in to. Even after hours its seems sluggish imo. Can’t figure out if I love it or hate it. The game itself, beautiful!

@@MoreLimitless_ thank you, I’ll give that a shot. It’s funny cause I wanna love it. I like the direction they went with the new FF.
