Got back into FF16 with Rising Tide and finding your guides has been great! Love the slick editing of using the combat animations to transition to different clips AND it’s super informative!
I knew about pretty much everything except torgal's precision attacks and how insane of a combo will + lightning rod + gouge is. A quick reliable will break setup is what was missing from my crazy high DPS with Odin and Bahamut
Excellent job with this video mate! The Trials hep you understand how the Eikonic abilities work, that's how I discovered how incredible Ramuh's Lighting Rod is!
Here is another bonafide banger! I never tried Lightning Rod or Will o' the Wykes. Your attacks are so fluid, a constant motion, nonstop lash out. That is what I want to do.
Buffering / negative edge is extremely useful in this game.. it’s a skill every gamer should learn as it applies to a lot of different titles (esp fighting games).
Awesome vid. Nobody really talk about good early to mid game abilities to use. Granted most of these I already know, but the will of wykes + lightning rod and the fact that u can lock on and shoot magic at lightning rod is new to me.
Combining Will o the Wykes, Lightning Rod and Gouge is litterally a melter combo, whether for the will gauge or just damage output. I would use that combo at the beginning of boss fights to melt their will then right before the full stagger I would set Will o the Wykes again, Lightning Rod at the beginning of stagger with Gouge to get the multiplier climbing up and then unleash Judgment Bolt, Upheaval, Rising Flames and Zantetsuken lvl. 5 (charged up with the small fries' fights right before) for the big damages. Almost one shotted some mini boss in less than a minute like this. This a GREAT game, I'm on Final Fantasy mode right now, but please give us harder difficulty settings. I like a game that can give me a power trip but I still want some challenge sometimes. Also how satisfying is it to finish a boss/mini-boss with a fully charged Zantetsuken, right?
It definitely shreds. There’s another really nice lightning rod combination later in the game, but lightning rod’s effectiveness does finally drop off near the end of NG+
@@rottengalaxy Giga Flare is solid, but it really shines with dancing steel until you get the accessory that lets you reach level 5 Zantetsuken without it.
So are Bayonetta and DMC on standard difficulty, that doesn't change the fact that their combat complexity is a huge draw and that the communities continue to develop and show off combos years after they come out.
@@jonferngut I never understood why people think this is a clever retort. Yes you posted your opinion on a public medium and someone responded with their opinion. I wish you were productive instead and responded to my argument. A big portion of the fun of the game is experimenting with the combat system to make swaggy or cool combos. Should I not be doing this or is this not “fun” because the difficulty of the game doesn’t require it?
Anyone who says the combat is boring needs to watch this. Once I learned there was a dog with a dedicated launch button I knew this game was special.
The transitions you do in these fights are exquisite 👌

Amazing tips! 5/5! They were greatly helpful. Cheers from USA, MI
Awesome video!
Loving these guides!
Can't wait till the next one!
Glad you love em, definitely more to come :)

So you use gouge after already dropping lightning rod and the gouge hits the lightning rod? I too need faster will breakers
Yeah will, lightning rod, and gouge are my favorite will breaking combo at the moment

Thank you! Lightning rod is so awesome, i’m glad other players are discovering it’s potential

I slept on both of these abilities for the longest time, but they’re both insanely powerful! Especially the damage blocking that will o the wykes does

torgal's combo extension is insane and shouldn't be sleep on

Thanks! Yeah the lock on to the Lightning Rod is a really cool feature that I hadn't seen others mention before :)

I use lunge burst magic spam with satellite active and demolition ring to burn down will guages. You can use burst right after counter strikes to
satellite is such a great support ability!

Very informative you earned a sub 👏
I know u said no eikons above titan but if you use Shiva's Rime ability with Ramuh's and Will O the Wykes you can melt the health bar pretty fast
Great video got a sub here thanks bro
Thank you, much appreciated😁
I would love to see a tutorial on staying in the air combos
Dude, what is that tune playing in the background?
Can't figure it out.
its called Forged in Battle, got it on Adobe Stock I believe
Is there a reason why you shouldnt upgrade the dodge ability? Is it because the dodge disjoints you from the target?
not necessarily, for me it’s just personal preference not to
Impressive 😁
Thank you😁

I wish this game was hard
wow... Lighting Rod + fireball aura seems like a broken combo
It definitely shreds. There’s another really nice lightning rod combination later in the game, but lightning rod’s effectiveness does finally drop off near the end of NG+
Lightning Rod + Giga Flare is even better.
@@rottengalaxy Giga Flare is solid, but it really shines with dancing steel until you get the accessory that lets you reach level 5 Zantetsuken without it.
No tactics needed unfortunately. The game is super simple to beat.

Do you only experiment because you have to? Bro I can’t imagine how dull your life is if you need a carrot on a stick to do anything
