I suffered from Hashimoto's and chronic inflammation and fatigue for a few years. I started on LDN about 6 weeks ago (as well as hormone lotion and various supplements). SWEET RELIEF!!!! I am SO thankful for this medicine!!!! I no longer feel like I am dying. (And the dreams are pretty nice too! LOL!)

I've been taking it for about 2 weeks at a dose of 4mg. I messed up and started too high but it's started to settle and the positives have already begun to show. I became interested in ldn after I did research on repairing sensitivity to endogenous opioids. I've been clean off h/fent for just shy of five years, but I'm always interested in ways of repairing/improving my mind and body. Apart from the insomnia I experienced (and some agitation, I presume due to my not tapering), I noticed positive results on my mood within about a week, and my energy levels and physical endurance have also increased, and it gets a little better every day. I'll also say that it seemed to reduce my urge for nicotine as I also quit vaping since I've been on it and cut my cannabis use down to a tenth, I presume do to ldn's influence on dopamine as well as endorphins. Really amazing stuff. Would highly recommend to pretty much anyone.

You’re supposed to be really careful with LDN. Can be dangerous to start so high that’s why they want you to titrate 0.5-1 every week or two. Glad you’re okay! It’s been life changing miracle for me.

I was prescribed 4.5mg recently for neuropathy and back pain. Been taking for 10 days. After 2 days my pain is 75% better. But I am having terrible dizzy when I get out of bed it's like being in a blender and falling. Then walking is like on a boat at sea in a hurricane. This goes away during the day. It returns nightly around dark. I also wake up every hour at night. I don't want to quit because it works for pain. Pharmacist told me the side effects would only last 1 week. I don't know if this is related but also my temperature regulation is way off. I get surge of hot flash and subsidies to being chilled...all day long! I am not enjoying this.

Try taking your dose mid or late afternoon. Its not mandatory to take it at night and earlier dosing is common amongst people that get insomnia from it..i take my dose around 3 to 5pm as the insomnia was horrible and the dreams i had were really weird and felt like someone else's...i hated that...also, youre not peri or menopausal, are you? Some of your symptoms are very similar to women going through peri...

WAY too high! Not even safe for some of us to start so high. Start at 0.5 and titrate up every week or even two weeks until you’re comfortable. If discomfort lasts longer than two weeks then go back down until you find your level. 4.5 is a max dose, yikes. Hope you’re feeling better.

With sleep disturbance I heard that it's best to take LDN in the mornings anyway because it increases cortisol? Sorry if this was covered in the video but surely it would be most suitable to stick at the lowest recommended dosage (0.5mg) for a few weeks just to be safe then titrate very slowly? This will totally avoid the complications you described with complete blockage of the receptor. But my question, speaking of this, is do we know when adaptation to the dosage will be fully guaranteed, in order to know you're not titrating faster than your body is able to adapt? Again sorry if this was covered, it was a great video but I did get sidetracked at one point

I've been titrating for 2 months, now. I'm up to 3mg naltrexone at night...every time I up the dose the dreams become vivid again, not necessarily nightmarish, but rather intriguing...then it levels off somewhat to more normal dreaming. I hope to go up to 3.5mg next if dr. OKs it.

Or go to a naturopath. Start at 0.5, increase it every week or even two weeks based on your sensitivity level by 0.5, do not go over 4.5 - my doctor says I probably won’t need more than 1.5, it’s changed my life in every way. If you don’t feel good at a dose for more than two weeks then decrease the dose and you’ll know that’s your personal amount needed for your endorphins.

Hi Guys, awesome episode. I recently got prescribed Naltrexone for Alcohol dependence, I'm doing the Sinclaire Method, which means I take Naltrexone 50mg, 1 hour before drinking to change the association of Alcohol and fun, so I'm not taking it daily, I take it once a week usually Friday drinking session, as I'm a binge drinker.
I have also been taking LDN 1mg, for depression for myself, after 7 days I increased to 2mg, I will do this for 2 weeks and increase to 3mg.
My question is, are both methods giving me benefits taking them simultaneously.
So 2mg, daily before sleep and 50mg and another 50mg. The same drinking session after 4 hours.
Am I getting the benefits of LDN and TSM ( The Sinclaire Method) ?

Antidepressants have done all you described to me, I’m sorry LDN didn’t work for you but It’s been life changing for me. My food allergies, histamine intolerance, depression, PTSD and food binging is 80% better and it’s only been a few weeks since I started it. Maybe you were on too much or maybe your body can’t tolerate it. This drug is used for acne as well, a lot of doctors prescribe meds not know how a person will respond, including psychiatrists which is even riskier. Again, it is a shame you had this experience but it’s been life changing for me as I’ve said. I’ve spent my life seeking help and nobody could, I have hope and a life again, from the moment I wake up, I don’t struggle to get out of bed anymore. That says a lot.

I’ve been to so many different types of doctors, specialists, naturopaths, Ayurveda and finally found one naturopath that suggested LDN has solved my depression, I wake up without dread every morning now, PTSD is significantly improved and not crippling, my food allergies and histamine intolerance is improved by at least 80%- I can eat salmon again! I don’t binge eat anymore either. So if you’ve tried this, just like any other medication, it doesn’t work for everyone. But it’s been life changing for me.
