NOTE: When installing the wiretap the owner of Blendmount said the wire ends of their wiretap should face upwards (not sideways as shown in my install) I tried for 45-mins to get this to work. Every time I put the cover on the wires would disconnect. Maybe it will work for you. But it didn’t for me. A link to the wiretap I used is in the description. Nevertheless… Blendmount is a superior product I stand behind! And the only radar detector mount I will ever use.
Agree Blendmount makes the best mounts by far, but like you said the wire tap that comes with it doesn’t work well. The one you suggested off amazon fits this application much better.
@@ProtectiveDadPranks what I was trying to say in my response was it’s against the law in Virginia to have a radar detector and they will take it and write you up for it. Window tint is also illegal in Virginia and they have been known to take a razor blade and cut a big X on the window. I avoid that place. I’m in a border state and I won’t go there. I tried to read my comment and couldn’t understand it lol.
What about GM statement that this can affect the flow of voltage elsewhere in the car. That can cause increased voltage to auto-dimming driver's side exterior mirrors, causing them to permanently dim and fill with a mess of squiggly lines.
