  • In this video we dig out the side yard area then spread base to grade, compact, form, and tie rebar. We also cut the homeowners curb for a brand new apron approach making this driveway a circular concrete driveway, RV parking.     always good work here, I worked with as a builder for years then went commercial and learned that side. still tons of stuff can be learned on your videos. In this line of work so many make the mistake of thinking they are the best and know it all. Then its completely different in another state. love watching and learning whats different on here

    I have never seen a horizontal curb cutter. That is awesome. Around here they would just cut either side and redo the curb.

    This looks like an interesting job. A little bit of everything,..Saw cut, brick ribbon, matching grade, aesthetic curves..Looks cool. Patiently awaiting the next videos. Dave I am going to be placing /pouring a pad over an existing pad of concrete. Any suggestions on how to approach this?

      That's my guess, when that was made code it was before the type of equipment we have today.

    Hi, I really like your videos. I have a question, have you ever worked with Helix Micro Rebar? They are growing so fast and many other youtube channels are using them to build with no or minimum rebar. I am going to build my driveway and my pool here in Florida and I will probably use them to reinforce my build.

    Greetings Odell concrete. You mentioned you put down road base. I'm concern to put road base on my concrete jobs cause I think the oils rise when pouring concrete and creating uneven curing. Like big cow patches all over the place. Can you comment on my question?

      Get enough cement in there and no worries.
      You could always lay some plastic down.

      It's a small piece so it should move as one

      Cement shortage.
      From what I've heard.
      Power outages to the plants that produce cement in California.

      I would say 1 reason is that 13 story living center they are building in S.F. They are on 28 week of build now. I'm surprised that you found some rebar. Thanks MORE !!! From So Tx.

      Had alot of roots in it, so I had to over excavate.
