  • I love using flower frogs (also known as pin frogs) in my arrangements, especially if I'm looking to make an airy "meadow style" or ikebana style arrangement. A flower frog is a metal or plastic tool, in a round shape, that has little "pins" sticking upward that keep the stems of flowers secure, so you can arrange the flowers and greenery strategically within your vessel.
There are lots of reasons to use flower frogs in your arrangements! Some of the reasons include:
    - Environmentally friendly! You can re-use them over and over.
    - Reusable (they can essentially last forever).
    - They allow you to use less product, the frog holds the stem upright, so you don't need to rely on greenery to create structure within the arrangement.
    - Great tool if you want to create an artistic and whimsical arrangement.
    - They allow flowers to uptake water more easily than using floral foam (foam can clog the stems)
    - They look cool!
    Cons:
    - They cost more than using chicken wire or floral foam (you could always re-sell them after you're done).
    - Not available everywhere, you'll have to do a bit of a search to find them.
