It’s also heartbreaking how many things haven’t changed in Atlanta in regards to poor black citizens (although not many care about poor white people either). Children are the hardest though they have / had a whole life in front of them, I lost my oldest son when he was 24, my granddaughter, his daughter was less than a year and half old. I’ve lost a younger brother, a parent, but no loss has been greater than that of my son.

So creepy the way he talks about himself in the the third person. You can feel his contempt for everyone through the screen. Killing children made him feel like a big man. He's an arrogant narcissist and a monster.
A bloody coward, went after kids and intoxicated ppl whom he can overpower , thinks it's all a joke hate how he laughs at every chance he gets,.I strongly believe he is d killer
That poem struck a chord with me too. That and one of the victim's 3 year old sister looking for her brother in the fog, what she considered Heaven. That had to have weighed heavy on his mom's heart too.
My beautiful son died in 1988. A parent can't get over the death of their child. It's unnatural & we are supposed to die before our children. I don't cry everyday anymore but my heart aches & I just want to see him just one more time.
I grew up at this time and am 53 now. Fani should be focused on using modern technology to solve the unsolved Atlanta Child Murders. ALL OF THE CASES OF ACTUAL CHILDREN THAT WERE MURDERED WERE SWEPT UNDER THE RUG BY MAYOR MAYNARD JACKSON. They only convicted Wayne Williams of murdering 2 young adults.
She is so delusional to think Wayne didn't do it. Yeah, he killed those guys but he didn't kill those kids. Are you serious? How often do you encounter killers and how often does this happen? Can't she just connect the lines? lmao
Children should never write such a poem. At that age, they should be playing games, riding their bikes, and playing tag. Too young to be talking about death and murder, so tragic
Exactly. Hence, all we can say is the case is inconclusive because there is no solid proof that ties him to the murders. However, his reaction tells otherwise. Your assessment is the same as mine. He iss challenging the court to prove he is the criminal but he knows he is the one.

I think most people who are innocent, especially of something this horrible, would be shouting from the rooftops about their innocence. This guy is smiling and playing with words with this reporter.
His temper came out in that interview. The fact that he said these victims roamed the streets at all kinds of hours and places they shouldn't have been, that statement got me because how would you even know where these victims were at when they were taken and killed. Only the killer would know where these victims were at the time they were taken.
Better yet that’s super insensitive to say ESPECIALLY as a person to have claimed to NOT have committed the crimes. He’s arrogant for sure. Talks in circles

She is definitely biased. Do you remember Richard Jewell? His life was ruined when they zeroed in on him after the Atlanta Olympic Games bombing. I vote not proven
I do remember jewel and his life was destroyed... I would have more respect for the media if they had spent as mañy months apologizing and retracting their statements in the papers about jewel as they spent framiñg and villifying that poor ,lonely, low functioning man who from the beginning only wanted to help, ( maybe to be praised a little bit for being able to help.... The bombing was truly evil and I believe due to his low functioning became lumped together with that evil, a very great book written about this crime (I don't recall the title but will find it if anyoñe is interested and let you know) This case involving so many murders that appeared to end with his incarceration has too much corroborating evidence, but I agree they could have tied it together better, and used bodily fluid evidence etc.
He used the race card to commit these murders. He knew the children wouldn’t be covered in the media the way it would have and then tried to use it to say he didn’t do it. He’s a predator, an opportunist and a monster.
Untrue, it was race. Our government didn't want to put money into hookers, homeless, mentally ill, disabled, and working class! Not unless it had a agenda purpose. Race isn't a issue for anyone except ppl who are ate up with race. Most people don't see skin and have friends from all backgrounds. Do you?

Found other black hairs on the bodies, and no straight hairs, but it’s still a cover up. Ridiculous!
Every time he kept saying, “ we’re not gonna get in to that” on every question Soledad asked, I kept saying “BECAUSE YOU’RE GUILTY AS HELL!”. And yet another thing that makes it so obvious he’s guilty, is: there were no more murders, and no more bodies were discovered after he was caught . I hope the families can at the very least get some kind of closure and as much peace as possible, knowing he can’t hurt anyone else. Glad they finally caught him.
Thing is, most criminals who possess extreme intelligence would challenge you to dig up dirt against them instead of admitting or denying the allegation. They would rather say they won't answer the question because they know not everyone would stop and take their time to look for clues and answers to prove their crime.
Actually, there were other murders after Wayne was arrested. I do believe Wayne committed some of the murders and I believe White men also committed some of them.
the fact is because most of his victims were "throw aways" he was allowed to kill for many years before the police deemed there being a pressing reason to pursue him and his ilk. today with the "drug problem" ripping across America "serial killers" have an open season as long as they can make the death seem drug related. as long as they don't hunt pretty clean white girls they're good.

If I was wrongfully accused of 27 murders, I would be screaming my innocence and distraught I was taken in to custody. This man was so calm from his first arrest up to now. He's guity as cat poop. Period.
Yes I’ll give you that cux I’d be in shambles definitely not giggling I don’t think he did them all but he did some and that’s why he can’t naturally be angry
Body hits the water and he's the only car on the bridge that late at night. They caught him red-handed that night and they knew the caught their killer.
@CRCfail Yeah, just a coincidence he was the only car caught on that bridge and they found the body down stream the very next day. Same dna sequence only found in black dna and only in 3% of even that group and Wayne Williams has the same sequence and those hairs were found on at least two of the victims. That's a VERY small % of the population. Oh, and the murders stopped. 🙄
@@CRCfail there are more videos about this man but there’s an older video like from the 80s that shows all the work they did it before they ever landed under the bridge, because the fact is they were under every bridge in Atlanta waiting for somebody to dump a body they had groups so had he picked another bridge it would have been another group of cops that would have caught him. He decided to start dumping bodies in the water because he had been watching the news and apparently somebody leaked it that they were looking for fibers. Since he was filming fires he may have been filming police as well. This man is quite the clever person. Funny how no more boys were being killed after they caught him.
I was never more convinced that Wayne Williams had killed at least the two men he was convicted of until I saw these interviews. Smug, seeming to refuse to answer direct questions directly, smirks, professing to be a scapegoat. I doubt you could make him for all the murders, but I believe he did most of them and he's exactly where he needs to be.
@eldenringer6466 👏🏽👏🏽VERY WELL SAID!!!! I was also convinced one of these killers had to be a POC bc of the fact the officers shared: “had to be someone who doesn’t STAND OUT in the Black Community” HAD TO BE! Bc everyone was on their toes looking for any one that stood out…Wayne knew what he was doing.
This guy smiles too much to be innocent. If I was innocent of murder and was in prison for it, I wouldn't be smiling while trying to play the good guy in an interview like that. I would be so upset and angry, and sad.
He's most likely who did it, but tbh if I was wrongfully convicted I'd quietly collect evidence that proved my innocence and sit on it for decades because you can get a college degrees in prison at the tax payers expense and a lump sum for being wrongfully convicted. I hope like hell I'm wrongfully convicted one day, I'd be rich forever all because of someone else's mistake.
Things were different in 1980 especially if the officers were old. The idea of forensic evidence like DNA and fiber analysis was in its' infancy or hadn't even existed yet. DNA evidence wasn't even trusted during the OJ trial 15 years after the Atlanta Children killings.
I'm a plumber and when I'm working in a black community everyone takes notice of me. It couldn't have been a white person believe me. Wayne has dupers delight all over his face. They got the right guy.

Not true and not confirmed. The sex offender who claimed that he saw Wayne Williams with his friend last, is factually the last person seen with the victim. Why wasn't he investigated?
Camille Bell and her surviving children spent a few weeks sheltering with me and my college roommates in 1983. I remember being shocked to hear her say that she didn't believe Wayne Williams was the murderer of so many innocent young black boys. She seemed to believe it was a racially motivated purge. I didn't know enough of the facts of the case at the time to comment, and my opinion wouldn't have mattered, anyway. We were just trying to help a grieving family. But, the grief, pain, and disbelief that she feels to this day is as painful to witness now, as it was 40 years ago. Heartbreaking.
I can understand her feeling about it being racially driven but the fact that SO many young men were taken and no one really noticed, it makes more sense that Wayne Williams did it. They all would have noticed a white guy talking to children. I only speak based on my knowledge of killers and forensics. I hope to never know the feeling of losing one of my children and my heart breaks for all those families ❤
Ms. Bell is such an articulate, intelligent woman. Too bad the police didn't listen to her sooner. Very thankful that she fought for justice for her son, and the other missing/murdered children. Such a heartbreaking story.
I saw the TV movie in the 80s and it was shown on Mindhunters. Ms. Bell was a force to be reckoned with. In Mindhunters, she didn’t believe Wayne killed her son.
Yeah well, you know what they say, if its white give it the spotlight. I'm grateful for my privelage but I want people who aren't white to have the same. Everyone deserves a safe community and a peaceful life, no matter their skin color.

“ The reaction of the police was we were overreacting and there was no cereal killer” these were black children, they were not about to spend resources on children they didn’t care about! “ police were slow to realize” they were not slow, they didn’t care. Had these been white children then it would have been Hail Mary! The system was never meant to protect our people, it isn’t inclusive to us and never will be. This documentary is a perfect example of why we fight for change!
The families of victims always have to be the one to push them. See it in so many cases. We started collecting a data base of convicted offenders DNA because of victims families to push for the initiative. The parents of the little girl who was kidnapped and murdered by her pedo neighbor. Are the ones who pushed for the amber alert. We, the people, are and have to be the ones to push for justice and push for it to address the gaps. Justice and liberty, are not a static thing.
This was done by a lynch mob the police are slave catchers the klan is responsible and the FBI had to stop the killings by these domestic terrorists organization known as the KKK. Let's look at the History of pattern by white supremacy and lynching no justice for the victims and the largest lynching of children in history some children had strangulation as a manor of death only one group of people I know hanging African American people are the KKK along with the Atlanta police department The Governor knew and did nothing which is why these were Lynchings. Ted Bundy nor Jeffery damer killed this many single handedly without going in noticed.
Wayne Williams had so much self hate as a black man living in a black neighborhood and world, the amount of contempt he had rooted for his own people is deep in itself.
He is absolutely, unequivocally responsible for these murders! His arrogance & narcissism speaks volumes & let’s remember most of the victims were children. They did not deserve this at all.
Wayne Williams was too afraid to go after grown ass men. The two he was convicted of didn’t appear to be much older than 18-19 to me. I forgot what they said their ages were.
ARE YOU SURE ? WE AS PEOPLE WILL "JUDGE" A "BLACK" MAN BASED ON HIS ACTIONS ONLY. HOW WOULD YOU BEHAVE OF YOU SPENT 27 YEARS IN A PRISON FOR MURDERS YOU DIDN'T COMMIT ? THIS IS A COMMON PRACTICE FOR YTS TO MURDER AND BLAME IT ON AMERICAN NIGGAS 😅😅 WELL READ FILE 8100 !
Rare fibers with an extremely distinct cross section found on the victims match fibers found in his home. Dog hair found on victims match the very animal found to live inside his home. Human hairs found on victims whose DNA evidence rules out 98% of the nation's population and yet does not rule him out. Not to mention the abrupt lack of more victims beginning the day he was arrested. As a juror, there is only one logical conclusion. Guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Add in the extreme oddly timed smiles from the convicted during conversation about murdered children... the correct person is serving time for these crimes.
It’s amazing how many don’t believe it was him and claim that more went missing when that’s not true. There’s more found but they had disappeared before he was captured.

I remember this, I was planning on moving my family to Atlanta at that time but I had 3 young children all boys. I wasn't willing to put my children in danger. This didn't just scare people of of color in Atlanta, this scared people of color everywhere.
You sound very protective of these kids. I'm not victim blaming but it makes no sense for these parents to still let their kids hang out unsupervised. Especially after children were getting murdered once a week.
@@neonrays28 I totally agree, and thank you. Yes I was very over protective of my children because my parents was over protective of me and my siblings. And my son's are very over protective of my grandchildren.
It scared some of us white people with young sons too. I had 2 sons in the age group. I know he chose black boys but we had no idea if he might change his M. O. Just to throw the police off or if a copycat might start up. I lived not too far from one of the bridges he dumped a body off of. I myself didn’t see color, I saw the fact that boys were being murdered. I hurt for everyone involved.
@@Harley_Girl68 I agree all children was in danger, except for the fact it took 8 known murders for the police to finally say "Yes these kids are being targeted". At that time if 2 white children would have been killed the same way, and was from the same area, the police would automatically said it's a serial killer at large. So again, I felt all children was endangered. I just hate that the people that signed up to protect us is so bias about one group.
Beyond the evidence presented, I noticed his arrogance, narcissistic attitude similar to those I know who refuse to take accountability, and love of attention (smiling and enjoying the spotlight being on him). I didn't believe any bs he was spouting. It was a performance made to drag on so the attention continued to be on him. Additionally, the victim blaming of anyone, but particularly children bothered me. Saying that they essentially did it to themselves. It's telling.
I live in Canada and remember hearing about this almost daily on the news. My family was horrified that there were so many young boys murdered and equally horrified at how long it took them to notice a pattern and finally catch the killer! Ive never forgotten his name in all these years and hope he burns in hell for eternity!!
A serial killer,or any random killer, doesn't want to know their victims names. They dont want to see them as a person. So when he says he never "met" these people, he's not lying. He didn't ask their name and actually didn't know who they were. As for everything else he said,he's a liar.
Well, that’s not necessarily true. Some killers cut out and keep news articles about their victims. There have been serial killers who taunt their victims’ family members through letters and/or phone calls. The “Long Island Serial Killer” reportedly (and compulsively) performed internet searches for pictures of his victims as well as their families.
@@alexwyatt2911 this is true, but more than likely they just looked through papers for articles on found bodies. Then they use the name to continue the "thrill" of the kill. There is no set pattern to how they behave, sadly.

They also stated that they’ve found yellow fiber on a body which matched a blanket he’s had but why is it that they never took it ? None of that makes sense. Why would they charge him for 2 grown men’s murders and not the children if they strongly believed it was him ?? So many will confess, but refuse to tell where the body is or refuse to admit certain things about the case. He knows he’s hurting the families by refusing to confess, especially since he’s already spending the rest of his life in prison

Well I think the document that was brought up at the end did it for me. He kept evading the guesting when asked about the choke hold training. He was shocked and asked where did you find that. Guilty.
I’m white was in my late 20’s with two sons 10 and 8 living in Cobb County just barely north of Atlanta not far from the Chattahoochee where they found a couple of the bodies. I watched over my sons more during this time. No way to know when this guy might change M.O. although probably not as scared as the Black community others were scared too. I know after Williams was arrested it stopped, I don’t know if that made him guilty or if someone said I’m no longer pressing my luck. Either way it was over. I do believe he killed the two adults he was convicted of. I definitely lean to guilty on the kids but without a trial for them there are to many unanswered questions.
They got closure. Another one who needs millions of dollars spent. They all have the same evidence on them. All from Wayne's house. Stop the bullshit, that money could solve other cases ? Say your child was murdered? Well there be money there to help solve it and prosecute
Thankful for the Strong Mothers who fought to bring attention to their children's murder. So sad that many children had to be murdered before a serious investigation would take place. The media could at least warn other parents that a child killer was roaming their streets.
Serial killers stop for 1 of 3 reasons. #1 They die. #2 They go to prison. #3 They age out and lose their ability to overpower people. They dnt want to turn into a victim themselves. He 100% did this. The reason he’s so calm in prison is because he can’t overpower them dudes. That’s why he attacked the youth.
The poem. So sad that children had to write such a poem. Innocence so lost and so many grieving people left to mourn these beautiful children. Love to all the family and friends who loved them.
The police cared. It's not easy catching a serial killer. They tend to not have any connection with the victim. They choose victims who are isolated so there are very few, if any, witnesses. But, I agree, no way I'd let my kid out of my sight with this stuff going on.
@@sport1girl That's a really cynical outlook. Are you just assuming that they didn't care about these children being killed because they were white and therefore must be racist? That's insane to me. I'm not 100% sure of the makeup of the Atlanta PD at that time but I know that the mayor was black, the FBI agent in charge was black. And I suspect most of the officers were black. So even if ALL the white people involved were racist and didn't care about black children dying what about the black people involved?
I dont buy a lot of racial bias claims, but I dont think it can be argued that there would have been organized actions earlier had there been white children missing. Ten in a close area like this before anything was done? Come on. And its shameful.
I'm not victim blaming but I truly don't understand why after the 3rd or 4th murders, the parents kept allowing their children to walk around the neighborhood or city unsupervised!
Not sure if it’s just me over analyzing. But when Wayne was asked if he ever met any of the victims, he says no but nods his head almost as if saying yes at the same time.

That poem those kids wrote for their friend made me break down . That shit is heart wrenching 💔. There are 2 places that will gain souls from these tragedies. Heaven will gain some more angels, and hell is awaiting some POS soul . And that soul will pay for eternity for everyone of those boys he killed.
I think he did it. I also think there are many more missing children he didn’t. There is always someone out. Don’t feel safe just because they got one of them.
Just read an article the other day that said solved cases is down to 51%, where it used to hover around 70%. Kinda scary to think about 49% of murders going unsolved….& the number of cleared cases dwindling.
What we’re learning about extreme personality disorders and narcissistic behaviour patterns. Wayne Williams fits the bill completely. He took the lie detector because he was thought he was smarter than the test when he failed over and over he couldn’t believe it.. After he went to prison.. the child murders Stopped. What they’ve discovered about tendencies of deviant behaviour and psychology is that they get into jobs that bring young people to them… that the serial killer spends a lot of time hunting.. all things that Wayne Williams admitted to in his interview.

I watched this documentary, and it doesn't prove anything except, there's a possibility either way. There's still reasonable doubt lurking on this case. I don't know either way, but there's some deep rooted "POTENTIAL" cover up out there. From this documentary, there's no way someone watching from an unbiased standpoint would say "GUILTY", but it doesn't prove innocence either. More information is needed to prove the outcome.

Possibly, Trump thinks the same way
I think it’s more of a control thing. A lot of serial killers will keep some of the details secret as a way of holding power over law enforcement and the victims families. So many will confess, but refuse to tell where the body is or refuse to admit certain things about the case. He knows he’s hurting the families by refusing to confess, especially since he’s already spending the rest of his life in prison

I was 10-11 when this was happening. I have no memory of really watching the news in those days, most 10 year olds don’t, but I distinctly remember THIS. I didn’t live anywhere near Atlanta but this is indelibly imprinted on my memory. It was terrifying for everyone, everywhere.
OMG! Same here. I can remember having that feeling of fear.
@Parismel - I remember this down to the Green Fibres! And I was the same age you were approximately. It was unbelievably terrifying even all the way up in Ontario Canada.

Thankful for the Strong Mothers who fought to bring attention to their children's murder. So sad that many children had to be murdered before a serious investigation would take place. The media could at least warn other parents that a child killer was roaming their streets.
It was being investigated.
Williams was smart
He was slick and there were few witnesses.
They did let them know
Serial killers stop for 1 of 3 reasons.
#1 They die.
#2 They go to prison.
#3 They age out and lose their ability to overpower people. They dnt want to turn into a victim themselves. He 100% did this. The reason he’s so calm in prison is because he can’t overpower them dudes. That’s why he attacked the youth.
I'm shocked that sooooo many parents were ok with their kids being out and about during the time these murders were happening!!!

@charoletteduffy6797 but they knew a serial killer was out there.
The police cared. It's not easy catching a serial killer. They tend to not have any connection with the victim. They choose victims who are isolated so there are very few, if any, witnesses.

It is shameful the Atlanta police waited a year before they investigated it.
Black kids, they simply didn’t care
And didn’t have a full on man hunt!! they could’ve blocked roads, posted police everywhere but they didn’t care at all
