    Reminds me of Ezra Jack Keats, 'The Snowy Day' illustrations, which is a big part of my childhood.

    Thank you for this incredible walk-through. And for highlighting that turn-on Blend Interior Effects as Group check box. I never knew before why these riso effects were’nt yielding the results that everyone showed or that I wanted-this is the key little ingredient and step. Thanks Tom! Great stuff.

    Thank you so much for this great tutorial. I bought the riso brushes for photoshop and Its perfect!!! Do you have any recommendations for printing to get the best resukts for this risograph effect? (printer, paper kind, weight, etc). Thanks a lot

    • @TomFroese
      @TomFroese  2 місяці тому +1

      That’s a good question. If you really want to make a riso print then forego these brushes and use a real riso printer! Short of that, a good quality inkjet/giclee with uncoated paper would look good.

    What’s better about using astropad studi vs drawing on the iPad using fresco or photoshop

    Hello Mr.Froese, I' =m a big fan of your work and this video is great! I enjoyed the illustration and the riso texture. Congrats.
    I'm struggling with the "temporary clear mode" holding ~. It didn't work for me. Should I manage this with Photoshop shortcuts? (By the way, this is the best tip in years of using Photoshop). Thanks for sharing this.

      Hey, thank you for watching and for your comment! I have found that Tilde doesn't work with ALL brushes. Can I ask which brush you're trying to use this with?
      It may also be that you're drawing directly to the Background layer, which, according to this article (www.photoshopessentials.com/basics/turn-a-photoshop-brush-into-an-eraser/#:~:text=Method%202%3A%20Use%20the%20tilde,~)%20key%20on%20your%20keyboard.) is not possible.

      @@TomFroese It worked, suddenly. I don't know how, but I was trying and it was not responding. I thought that the problem could be the Keyboard using a Brazilian "layout", and I read your article, and found so many people complaining that the shortcut was not working... but suddenly worked...🤷‍♂ Thank you!

    Hi! Thank you for making this video! I am a graphic design student and am planning on using this technique for my next project. I followed along with your video, using simple shapes, instead of illustrating something as a trial. When I went to fill in the shapes with the risograph brush, it shows up white, instead of the color the layer is set to. I was wondering if you know what was causing this and could help? Your help would be greatly appreciated!!
