By far one of the best tutorial series of ANY kind on UA-cam. I've been using Photoshop for 20 years and I still learn something new every time. Even just seeing new ways of thinking of solving the same problem is super valuable. Keep doing awesome work.
The way you use hard mix here is genius! Have my own little rig for doing something similar in AE, but it only uses mosaic so the pixels have to be squares. This adds a ton of versatility!
The first thing I thought about was: how can I animate this in After Effects 😂 schould be manageable with a very similar setup with lots of options and places to integrate glitches and dead pixels, flickering light, tv lines... Ouu the possibilities
Recently discovered your UA-cam, after 14 years working in photoshop, just when I was thinking I knew it all, you've proved me wrong. thank you so much for showing us all of this, incredible!
This is one of the most creative and out of the box thinking tutorial about Photoshop on whole internet. Great explanation, great thinking, great execution and top notch knowledge of the software. That is just great. Thanks a lot.
Totally. I am actually mindblown about this channel. And what I like most, is that the underlying mechanics are also explained very well, not only the applied technique!
For a Photoshop enthusiast like me, watching this tutorial from 3:58 to 4:12 felt like watching a brilliant chess move, or watching Lionel Messi doing a filtered pass. It's so enjoyable coming up with these ideas, pure genius.
I've said it before, I'm going to say it again - you truly are a Photoshop wizard. Blowing my mind with every tutorial and making me open Photoshop right away to test these techniques out.
All this wonderful, easy-to-understand info in under 10 minuets? Impossible. You made (and make) this seemingly super complex thing simple and easily editable. Bravo my friend✨
Never even planning on using this but when someone is good at explaining something you automatically develop an interest, great video I'm sure this is very useful information.
Brady, every time I see a TextureLabs video I always get so excited! I combined the Collage Art effect with the Burn effect to create a cool post for instagram the other day, so thanks for the techniques! It's always so much fun to have my eyes opened to a new tool or method to experiment with :)
The work flow here is insane, I never realized how messy my Photoshop work has been before I've seen this video. Excellent work, I'm going to pick up many of your habits.
This is why I am a Patreon subscriber, this is pure madness. It elevates the Photoshop toolset to a whole new level with an explanation that guides you all the way. The quality of these videos is insane.
Been doing this a long time and I’ve seen a LOT of tutorial videos. Yours are by far the new standard. Really great stuff. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Wow, finally someone made this tutorial by actually making it pixelated and not just throwing a pixel grid mask over it so it doesn't hold up when you zoom in! One of the better lo-fi look tutorials I've seen in a while! I actually learned something, my way of getting this look was way too tedious compared to this.
Man your channel is so underrated, I discovered your channel yesterday and I am already sharing it with all my friends, you are very good at what you do! Thank you for sharing all this knowledge, you are sure to get bigger and bigger!
Hey Brady, thank you very much for this awesome tutorial. Your tutorials are always so easy to follow and it absolutely blows me away that they are all "live" and not merged down in any way. I appreciate your content and always look forward to new videos!
What the fuck!!! Been photoshopping and designing for 10 years. This is just mind blowing. Appreciate the speed of the tutorials and feels like we can just get to deeper concepts quicker
I never write comments under youtube videos. But for this one? Ho could I not... the technique?! the results?! Simply incredible. This has to be my favourite tutorial ever.
Dude… like… srsly, dude… how do you manage to come up with this absolutely mindboggling stuff and those crazy techniques in every. single. one. of your videos??? 😂 Its official: You, @ECAbrams and @DarrenMostyn make up the wholyesome trinity of youtube educators. Kudos and thanks 🙏 😃
@Texturelabs is an always will be an official OG because I said so. I am yoinking all the knowledge you are giving and I will be using it extensively >:)
The use of aligning patterns to the mosaic grid blew my mind! Obviously you've given so much thought to the structure of the video, the little mograph examples really sets you apart from the rest.
this is such a smart use of photoshop, and I love that you explain why the whole process makes sense. we're then learning about techniques but also logic, and i gotta say i really enjoy it. thank you for this!
This is amazing, man!! Thank you so much for this one! Little tip for anyone that might find this helpful... I imported a video to photoshop and applied all the effects mentioned in this tutorial and if you work with the video layer as a intelligent object you can also replace it just like you do with images, so you can have this same effect as a template for video too!! It looks great!!
I can see the hard work! How you make sure to prep things so that it looks like you're just casually clicking here and there, but it's planned and edited perfectly to show everything clearly, with no wasted time. That's really good editing. Hope your channel continues to be successful, I recommend it all the time. PS: If you ever run out of ideas, I'm still hoping to see a tutorial someday for realistic dimensional glass, for text or whatever else.
Dude I love your tuts because I'm a 3D artist, I started waaaay way back using photoshop and most of the time I can translate what I learn in your videos to blender. Keep it up!
Amazing as usual 👏❤️ we can't thank you enough for these hidden secrets you share with us!! I wish you good health and much success so you can still make great content just like this for generations to come and get inspired by ❤️❤️ Thank you
This is amazing! I used to play a lot of WatchDogs games and always wondered how they make that glitchy old monitor type graphics. Could never quite get it so I gave up but this brought me right back. Thanks so much for this!
I like what you say...and by the way, Patreon is only $3 a month for all the awesomeness and bonuses you get -- not to mention this guy deserves support!
You use Photoshop blending modes the same way I see people use shader nodes in Blender. If I've learned one thing from your channel, it's too really think of these blending modes and layer effects as math instead of effects. You're really changing the entire way I think of Photoshop.
i was a huge fan of using scripts for pattern based raster effects in illustrator and losing access to those was one of my biggest regrets of the switch to CC. thanks for putting this video out there, i feel like ive rediscovered a tool that i thought was lost ages ago
Oh my! I wanted to experiment with something I had in mind, so I thought the halftone effect would be what I was looking for. Thus, I found your tutorial "Retro Halftone Effects in Photoshop" and half through it I went to subscribe to your channel and found this gem that I think suits even more what I wanted to experiment with. Excellent tutorial, so thorough, precise and soothingly spoken!
It was really stunning. Although I have been using Photoshop for almost 10 years, I really learn things in this channel that are amazing. really thank you
I don't even know where to start. This level of knowledge, just blows my mind
By far one of the best tutorial series of ANY kind on UA-cam. I've been using Photoshop for 20 years and I still learn something new every time. Even just seeing new ways of thinking of solving the same problem is super valuable. Keep doing awesome work.
This. BONKERS every time. Absolute mastery.
I agree
Yes, absolutely, same here! 15 years, but still!
nice to know that I was with my 10 years and feeling that, but now I know is just his marvelous mastery of the tools
True.
This is mindblowing! How everything is completely live and changeable ... I would never have guessed this is possible.
Ha, same here! Actually had a tough time deciding whether to make it an AE or Photoshop video... but I'm gonna try to do both!
@@Texturelabs 🤩
@@Texturelabs Thank you!

Years and years of using Photoshop professionally and I just found this out. Stellar stuff.

Man! This is perfect! I was recreating this and I used R, G, and B for dropshadow colours, creating this B&W meets CRT look! So much fun! Thanks!
Been doing this a long time and I’ve seen a LOT of tutorial videos. Yours are by far the new standard. Really great stuff. Thank you for sharing your expertise.

I’ve used photoshop since the 90s and I learned a few things here. Namely the knockout and “blend if” settings under blending mode. Awesome.
I started using Photoshop 7 back in 2003 and damn each one of your photoshop videos just blows my mind.
Best explanation of this that I've seen. I use some of these techniques for my work, but still learned some things.
Насколько это гениально и до невозможности просто, я восхищён такой идеей! Респект!
Hey Brady, thank you very much for this awesome tutorial. Your tutorials are always so easy to follow and it absolutely blows me away that they are all "live" and not merged down in any way. I appreciate your content and always look forward to new videos!
King of textures. King of photoshop

How can you blow my freaking mind with EVERY NEW VIDEO?????
Amazing, you make it so easy, i feel stupid for not knowing these seemingly simple functions already after having used PS for 15 years.
Amazing. I've been using Photoshop for 20 years and learned a couple of new things.
I never write comments under youtube videos. But for this one? Ho could I not... the technique?! the results?! Simply incredible. This has to be my favourite tutorial ever.

Я работаю в фотошопе 25 лет, и этот канал меня заинтересовал, хотя я редко что-то смотрю по фотошопу. Подписался.

I had no idea that hard mix could be used like this. Going to have to play with this in AE. Keep killing it!
So high quality its ridicolous. Cant believe this is free👑
God damn this was cool af, and exceptionally well explained. Thanks! Gonna have to find some room in my budget for that Patreon. Seems well worth it.
I like what you say...and by the way, Patreon is only $3 a month for all the awesomeness and bonuses you get -- not to mention this guy deserves support!
10/10. Phenomenal tutorial.

Большое, большое СПАСИБО!
Вы открыли мне огромный пласт знаний в области графического дизайна!
Absolutely insane.
Your skill levels in PS are next level. So good!!! 🔥🔥🔥
I was using the same hard mix technique but it never occurred to me that I could get the same result with just the layer styles! Most excellent!!
Best Photoshop channel in UA-cam! Cheers!!!
Really cool! I've been using PS for like 25 years and still learning new things. I've used some of your methods in my professional work recently!
Even after so many years of being a photoshop user there's always a handful of things I never knew in every tutorial you put out!
Very nice effect, I've made multiple actions or layer styles for monitor effects but the non destructiveness of this is great!
One of the best ideas i've seen in Photoshop for a long time. This channel is gold. Thank you!
It was really stunning. Although I have been using Photoshop for almost 10 years, I really learn things in this channel that are amazing. really thank you
If you want more detailed effect on round shapes just set mosaic filter on 50 or even 25. Great tut Brady. Thank You.
