If the tractor has been outside for a long time, moisture may have penetrated the clutch, so that the clutch hub hangs in the rust on the flywheel and pressure plate. The clutch hub must also be able to slide easily back and forth on the output shaft.
My parents owned a Pony when I was a teenager, so I have done a lot of field work with a Pony.
When we parted with it, the clutch was "Groet" together and had to be hit with a hammer on the clutch hub a few times to get it free, or we would never have gotten it into Gear :-)

Thanks for watching. If it’s getting hung up then perhaps it just needs to be used and/or adjusted? It works fine sometimes and when I step on the pedal it moves fine

    Nice job!
What color codes are you using for the red and yellow?
    I’ve got a french made Pony 812, from 1952 also :-)

Thank you! The yellow is RAL 1021 and the red just says Z09 on it. I bought red paint from a parts store that said “Pony red” in the product description

      Thanks!
Just got some RAL 1021 and RAL 3002 from the shop, not sure about the red though.

As long as the red is close I think it’s fine since pretty much every Pony I’ve seen is a different colour and even mine was a much more purple red, almost like International red when I bought it

I think the clutch pressure plate may be a bit weak

Perhaps although I think it’s more likely that the fingers are worn out. I did replace the throw out bearing, it was pretty dry so will see if that does anything. Thanks for commenting

Looking almost new, will be interesting to see it when you are finished, not sure what the gear box problem is, could be Cutch not engaged properly?? I'm just guessing hopefully you can get it sorted cheers mate 👍👍🇦🇺

Once I get everything back together I am going to try different adjustments to the clutch, I am hoping that that will solve the noise. It will sure be interesting to see it finished and running again, I'm just waiting on the brake pads to come and then I can get it all back together! Thank you for watching! Cheers 👍
