  • Welcome back to another episode, In this video we complete the ceiling and walls in the peugeot boxer camper conversion and we make a start on the furniture building. The van may be a budget price but sure isn't budget value inside. We demonstrate how to cut the furniture boards and install knock on edging as well as giving a few useful pointers about the build along the way.

Back in the day when I was an MoD Equipment Examiner (REME), I could only pass and re-engineered parts or equipment if any nylock nuts were used if there’s at least 3 threads showing past the nylon and with the threaded part filed smoothly I can agree it seems a faf but it’s a good standard to keep as it’s easy to stop short AT the nylon and they can still vibrate off. Also, on the threaded bat going across between Seat sides it would’ve been good practice to add a tube of anything, best if steel to stop and compressing of the seat sides. I do think your probably one of the best fitters/builders I’ve watched on YT. Well done on your video’s and new venture. I would happily buy one of your vans with confidence. Will you be still out traveling again as I found your travels vlogs really good.

I’m a spark and metalworker so building our van I’m happy with that area..but most of it won’t ever be seen!ha it’s the joinery bits like kitchen building that scares me!

I have seen them built with a power station being its power source but with lithium coming down in price it’s cheaper to do a bespoke system now as you still have to run all the cables, end points etc and you’d lose the dc to dc charging capability well you wouldn’t be able to do above 8 amps via a cigarette lighter 👍🏻

Is the mains incoming cable double insulated? . All 230v cables should be double insulated. Also positive and negative cables should enter enclosures through the same holes to prevent magnetic induction and potential over heating. Unlikely for the load kn a camper but still good practice
