If you are among those, who like to see good homemade projects, then you will love this video.
The beautiful Cafe Racer presented on this episode, is based on a 2001 Ducati 996, and it was built by Jaron Hall, from the United States.
Personally, I think it is a very interesting and beautiful Ducati Cafe Racer, with a very nice story from an amateur builder.
I hope you like it.
My special thanks to Pedro Torres, for his great help with my English.

Thank you so much for featuring my bike!! I’m honored 👍🏼
Hey Jaron
Great work bro. I want to steal ur idea of lighting up the foot pegs. This was not highlighted in the story, shame.
Safe Riding 💪🏾
Cool name, and very cool bike!
@jaronhall You are welcome Dear Jaron. My pleasure. Cheers
Saving a bike from some one elses poor choices is always a good thing. It isn't what I would have done, 996 being a dream bike I would've restored it, but I can appreciate his efforts.
It sounds lovely though.
90 degree V-twins FTW!
@whylie74 Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
@@whylie74 yes, and although I prefer Japanese bikes the engine in the frame look so good, too nice to be covered
I can imagine Jaron saying to himself "Well...I can't make it any worse! WTF, let's do this!"
Loool. Thank you my friend for sharing your interesting perspective. :) Cheers
Not only a rescue …. A reborn ….. your introduction was excellent …. 👌
Congratulations for The techno look very insidiously !! 🫡

He has truly created the Ducati Monster that Ducati should be building 😉👍!
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers
@@Dan-56 thought similar, a better monster then monster
Not even remotely true.
The modern Monster has lost its identity.
This turned out to be a very nice bike! His work was really amazing. And, as always, thank you for Racer TV, the Café Racers only choice! I hope you are having a great week! Ride safe my friend! Cheers:)
Thank you my dear friend for sharing your opinion. Indeed. Interestingly, this video/project is attracting more success than I initially expected. You too. Thanks. :) Cheers
Boas curvas. Abraço.

This Ducati is a beautiful mc.
My first motorcycle at 16 was a Cativa Mito the little brother
Yes, the Cagiva Mito lines are very close to the 996. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
Another excellent vid about another excellent build.

Excellent video Victor, as always. Jaron has done an outstanding job giving the 996 a new life, amazing work . Ride safe and take care mate. Cheers

Great story and motorcycle, fine job to save a previous disaster, that said; this is one of the very few cases that I prefer the stock bike over the modified one, nice presentation Victor, as always!
Thank you Dear Carlos for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
Nice to see a Home Built Cafe Racer Vitor

Obrigado.
What a beautiful finish from that so called scrambler. And a lot of unique approaches. Congratulations to Jaron. And a sound, that has no competition for me. Thank you as always Victor.
Looool. I like your first sentence. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
Very nice work! It's rare to see this type of exhaust on a 996 👍It might also be interesting to go into more of a streetfighter direction without the round headlight and tail. Food for thought for all ye customizers out there 😁
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers

Obrigado amigo. Fico contente que tenha gostado. :) Um abraço

Ducati l twins r the best choice for cafe racer projects, that sexy traillis frame along with that sexy l twin engine with those exposed timing belts and those exposed dry clutch plate assemblies.❤❤
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
heresy xV
ok, he didn't cut the stock bike, well that's a relief
Lol. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
Jaron made her so pretty and clean!! Cannot handle silly nobby tires on a road bike idea, always looks terrible
Pedro Silv@
Obrigado amigo pelo simpático comentário. :) Um abraço
the 996 is a masterpiece. it doesnt need to be cafeed. the yamaha virago on the other hand need to be caferacer to look good.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
So true...
Don't get me wrong but I found the tank so short. But I understand that it is a limitation imposed by the original design. Happens to me with my Bajaj Pulsar 200NS. A tank should attract attention due to its shape and size, however, having said the above, it is a work of Christian charity to get that poor Ducati out of that state of shame. Who would think of making a scrambler with a sport bike? Simply put, the wheels she had just looked horrible; without omitting the type of engine inappropriate for going out on an unpaved road or in the open field. At the time of the inquisition, this blasphemer of design would have been sentenced to flogging and he deserved it. The work done by Jaron on this bike, especially on the rear, is simply spectacular and recovers the dignity and greatness of this bike from the great Bologna brand
Thank you my friend Alejandro for sharing your perspective. You're right about the fuel tank. Fortunately, in this case, the beautiful rear helps divert attention from this size detail. :) Saludos
1080p now. nice
@RXbigZ I am glad you liked.
Although I put more effort into the image quality of this video, I must add that all the videos presented since December last year, are already in Full HD. Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers
@@RACER_TV keep up the good work. i love your bike collection video
@RXbigZ Thank you. :) Cheers
How can I report Mr Hall to the relevant authorities?
😂
🦁🎩❤️
Those tkc 80 are Q speed rated... So 99 mph for an hour straight, untill catastrophic failure.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
Electrics and the battery location must have been the biggest problem. The Ducati - with all its hoses and wires running cris-cross, normally covered up by the fairing - is a beast to turn into a cafe racer and will never look as "clean" as other bikes where the technical stuff is more hidden by the factory, let alone air cooled bikes. Jaron did an amazing job and is rewarded with a unique bike that is great in its own class. And best of all: Despite the changes the bike still must be fun and efficient to ride, as geometry, suspension and the ergos have not been tampered with. Are there any informations about the change in overall weight?
Na verdade, ela estava perdida. 👍
Lol.
Just wondering but.. do you search people and contact them to showcase their projects or do they contact you?
Good question.
In most cases, I am the one who contacts the motorcycle builders/owners.
In this case, it was Jaron who contacted me.
But it is extremely rare to feature bikes on the channel, that were submitted via email or Facebook. :) Cheers
Anyone spot where the battery went?
My guess would be a lithium battery in the seat cowling.
@geofftheriddler Interestingly, it is inserted on top of the front cylinder, just below the air scoop on the right side. :) Cheers
As someone who owned a 996, and has built many custom Ducati, with fabricated parts, I’m a little disappointed that he put a lot of energy in some aspects, but ignored key components. He could have easily chose to highlight the V-Twin belt pulleys, by exposing them. The lower fork clamps and clip-on handlebars should have been replaced with black cnc parts. It’s too bad he chose cheap bar end mirrors, when Rizoma has plenty of mirrors that are much cleaner in design. And lastly, it would have been a good idea to cut off the fairing mount tabs to clean up the bike frame from unnecessary bolts to fill holes. Otherwise the concept is good. But maybe a 7 out of 10 for this channel.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. Everything you said makes sense. But when there are budget limitations, some concessions have to be made. :) Cheers
I actually agree with a lot of this feedback! Thank you. I had a pretty limited budget and this is one of my first builds. Also, I tried to keep modifications to the frame to a minimum, just in case it were to ever get restored back to stock.
The chinese cheap parts is what’s killing it
It's not a Ducati, it's a custom using a 996 as starting model... I think it's diffucult if not impossible making the bike better than it was.. in fact it's not.. it's another bike.. r.i.p to the 996 sacrificed...
@mildrioddmund4523 From your words, I would say that you didn't see the whole video. Otherwise, you wouldn't say that. :) Cheers.
@@RACER_TV i don't need to see the whole video.. i can't see a work of art destroyed... it's not a Ducati 996... It's a Frankenstein.. It should be called in thousand ways but not Ducati 996..
Not a fan. The 996 is a design masterpiece and should not be altered.
I've never finished one of these films due to the AI voice.
@ronwhite8503 Sorry to hear that. Interestingly, since I started using the voice with an Ai update, I've only received about 2 or 3 comments criticizing this voice. Your comment is the third one. :)
But Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers
Immatriculation, rétroviseurs ?
No, everything you mentioned is on this bike. Try watching the video again. :) Salute
I support anyone who doesn't follow the herd and does their own thing - but the previous owner definitely needs to give himself an uppercut, in the same manner as that idiot who mounted a 996 on his wall.
This bike? Honestly? It looks like someone dropped his bike and turned it into a half-baked frankenbike because he couldn't afford replacement fairings - the front end is too messy because the controls, cabling, radiator and other whatnots were designed to be hidden - and the proportions are all wrong to my eyes. It still bears the indelible arse-in-the-air stance of its heritage and if one wanted to call it a cafe racer you'd be wrong - it's unarguably a street fighter both in spirit and execution.
I suppose given the history of the bike it was a "sensible" idea and it turned into a pretty cool project nonetheless IF you ignore the 996's historical cachet. But I can't help but feel that the end result is less accomplished than it could have been - it strives to be a boutique build but doesn't quite manage it and thus sits in limbo because the bike, being a 996, deserves a full restoration whereas it ends up looking like an unfinished poor man's hack job.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. From a certain perspective, everything you said makes sense.
But considering this is an amateur and homemade project, with a modest budget, I don't think we can demand perfection. :) Cheers
Kár volt elrontani. Az eredetiben a legszebb.😢
Nice build but not Beautiful
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers
“He’s not a professional builder” No shit Sherlock!
