Wonder how it compares to the Coleman BT200X? I have one and it has plenty of 'grunt' for rough back trails. Doesn't have a lot of top end speed but for my purposes the BT200X is perfect. However they are getting darn near impossible to find and I want to get another mini bike for the lady friend to ride with me (she loves riding mine). The Massimo MB200 is on my radar for a possibility..they seem to be in better supply in local retail outlets.
The new TrailMaster Hurricane 200X Minibike is only a 100 dollars more and what does 100 dollars get you Front and Rear Hydraulic Disk Brakes Front and Rear Suspension and a factory Jackshaft Style Torque Converter that is mounted and welded to the frame.
I like to section hike the Appalachian trail on my days off, so I just bought one of these to help with that. I’m going to park my truck at my destination at the beginning of the day, drive the bike to my starting point, hike 10-15 miles, grab the car and pick the bike up before heading home.
@@GeorgiaRidgerunner the trail crosses roads. I’ll be walking between the road crossings and using the bike to get to those road crossings. There’s no point in “section hiking” if I’m going to drive a bike on the trail.
This is the "Massimo MB 200" also sold by Tractor Supply. It does not have that necessary rear suspension like the Trailmaster MB200 2, but the Trailmaster does not have that nice Storage Compartment.
massimo makes a mb200S with a swing arm and rear shocks and a CVT torque converter,,,, about 500 less than the trailmaster. new model, interchangeable parts with trailmaster as far as seats.
The new Massimo's now have rear suspension and I believe rear disc brakes. Trailmaster MB-200 is still the best mini bike out there, though. Mine did 35 mph 1st time on it, completely stock.
I just got this bike 'used' today and it's awesome. Since it's used, I really don't know what is considered to be normal or not. When I was a kid when I had my Mini Bikes and they have come a long way as far as size. First off it starts to vibrate at higher almost full throttle speeds. I am not sure if this is to be expected, but it does make me kind of concerned like something isn't quite right. Then I looked closer and the throttle is being held with a zip tie about 1" loop where it connects the cable to near the throttle body . Right under the gas tank so I cant really see what's going on...looks like they did a quick fix and didn't bother replacing a broken cable (that's assuming without getting in closer to see). Ohh and the chains were dry so I just sprayed WD-40 since that's the closest thing I have to an oil...I know it's not really considered oil, but until I get proper oil, I used it. The chains are still quite noisy...I know they were a little back in the day, but I only had a single chain direct to the clutch. Not the extra chain, nor the chain tensioner and spindle. It sounds like a spun bearing to be honest, but the engine sounds great and normal. Are the noises from all the chain stuff normal? Other than that, it's a cool bike and I hope my kids enjoy it as much as I do.
Yes, the clutch make a horrible racket and there is some chain noise. The clutch noise is probable the worst thing about the bike. As far as the vibration, mine vibrates a lot also. Hope you have fun with the bike. I never get to ride mine cause it is at my vacation property.
0.9 gallons 9/10 ths. M.P.G. varies my coleman with the 196cc chinese engine and 10 to 1 final gear ratio can 20 t0 40 miles depending on speed and terrain rider weight and tire pressure are also a factor but id say take gas with you if you going over 20 miles
Depends on the state you live in. I live in FL and got pulled over a few days ago on mine. I was riding mine on the sidewalk and a cop pulled me over and said it's meant for off road recreational use but yet those gas powered bikes that do 40+ mph are strictly made for sidewalks. Mine does 30 mph and can't use it on sidewalks
@@drewcarr4478 Here we can't even ride a bicycle on the sidewalk. There has to be a title to ride a motorcycle on the road. the minibike would be 100% illegal. Same with gas powered bicycle but electric bicycle is OK but not on the sidewalk.
It’s not street legal so it don’t really matter a license might be a plus when ya get pulled over but either way the cop could still give you a ticket for riding it on the road
@@holidaydiyguy3566 There really isn't any "mini bike" bigger than this. I'm 6 foot and I have a doodlebug which is significantly smaller than this bike and I don't have any problems fitting on it. I'd go to a motorsports shop where they have it on display, to see if it's a good fit or not. If it's too small I would just get a pit or dirt bike. Maybe even a real bike. But I don't really think these bikes are supposed to be spacious. They're meant to be smaller and more compact than something you're normally used to. That's kind of the point of these bikes and what makes them fun.
Their ok I sold mine got 600 out of mine chain wouldn't stay on. It. An I got a mb 200 trail master. 6.5 I like trail master mini bike better but man their 1000 but i got one the MB 200 trail master is better.
I am sure the laws are different in all states. Where I live I don’t think they are but I live in an area where off road vehicles are driven on the street pretty regularly.
Doesn’t look like it. Most jurisdictions require turn signals, a tail light, brake light, and front brake are required to be street legal. And this bike doesn’t have those.
Any updates? Have you tried adjusting the governor and did it make a difference? I was ready to pull the trigger on one until I seen this video, I’m torn between the Missimo and the trailmaster.
Dave Sorry man, the bike is up at my ranch house and I don’t get up there as much as I like. I did play with the governor a little bit but was worried about over revving the engine. I think the bike runs great for what I do with it and want it to last so I don’t think I will change anything. I really like my bike but I do most of my riding on the street.
Yes Nellie, I’m the same, I like my stuff to last, I got enough projects. I’m probably gonna go through Costco as well, just 2 to 3 weeks ago they sent me an email for the same same one for $649, now that I’m ready to pull the trigger it’s $849 which still isn’t a bad price. Thanks for the video 👍
@@eightfourllc2484 get the cheaper of the two there the same mini bike except for the shape of the seat and the fake gas tank storage compartment The mb 200 hurricane is considerably more expensive but is a full suspension bike id look into that one too

Zip tie the governor and drop in a mikuni carb. It'll open up a bit more for you. Sand and dirt won't be an issue.
Many mods are available for this engine. Do a little research and you will find this little bike will satisfy. 👍

Get some new parts from Go Power Sports.

There some easy mods you can do at your on risk that will make this bike really boost in power. So as they come there ok .

My Coleman bt200 starts on the second pull over had it since July
My coleman that i purchased in 2018 still starts on the first pull with the choke engaged
