As long as he's not misrepresenting his opinions for facts, which is often the case. Just cause he thinks something doesn't mean it's right or accurate and free speech means you're allowed to say what you want, it doesn't mean there will be no consequences.

Noone "misrepresents" anything when making their own opinions based on fact. I'd say more generally, never apologize for speaking your truth as you see it. It's people cowering before the mob and lying to save themselves that are the problem. Would be refreshing to see more free thinkers and free speakers out there on mainstream (semi) media. Question everything. Bring real, hard facts to the table. Not just the capitalist propaganda that we've been fed most of our lives. Question the system itself. Anyone who has done a bit of research would know our system is unsustainable and needs to change if we hope to have any hope of sustainability, health and justice in society moving forward.
The idea of finally standing up against the social engineering, woke and social justice warriors is great and I’ll always support it.
Standing up against the globalism in general is what we all need to do.
What I’m saying is, to me, this looks a bit scripted in order to show public that there is democracy and you actually have a freedom of speech.
My question is, where was this guy when people lost their jobs because they didn’t want to accept the experimental so called vaccine from which millions of people are suffering as we speak from myocarditis, pericarditis and all kids of other illnesses? Where was this guy to criticize government for putting people in position where they had to chose between jab and job, when they couldn’t see their loved ones, when you couldn’t even leave the county if not vaccinated, when peoples carriers were sabotaged, when you had to wear face diapers (which most of intelligent people knew they wouldn’t protect you or anyone else), when unvaccinated were treated as second class citizens, when order in council and cabinet confidence was used to enact anything that majority of people or politicians would never agree with?
Not only this guy but politicians too. Just lately some started waking up…

I have a newfound respect for Sid Seixeiro. Agree or disagree with him on his views, it doesn't matter. He's 100% correct that we, as Canadian citizens, have the right to express our agreement or disagreement with what's going on in our country, notably our government. That's what a democracy is all about. If you took offence to Justin Trudeau singing Queen on the eve of the Queen's funeral, then fine. If you did not take offence to it, that's also fine. It doesn't mean one view is better than the other. The fact that we disagree is perfectly fine, and we need to stop disrespecting one another simply because we disagree. Well done Sid. Keep going!

If you watched his whole scene he made on live tv he basically age shamed someone for singing, then laughed at someone like how a bully does that to someone else. Then he disrespected one of his cohost's opinion because he disagreed with Sid. There is disagreement and disrespect and Sid did both that day. And now ppl called him out on it and they're idiots or ignorant or we have wax in our ears or we idolize politicians because ppl called out his behaviour? Sounds more like he's using this rant as a shield. You can't have it both ways where you can lay the criticism but then can't take the criticism as well. Especially for an opinion host.
We need more open and critical thinkers. People who can have civil discussions with each other that differ on opinions without getting into hateful insults. I believe we have more in common in what we value than we differ. Where we differ is probably on how to get those common things we mostly care about and need. Why let that divide us? Just talk openly, truthfully, passionately, but not disrespectfully.
Politicians are their own breed of paid lairs. Most of us are not politicians, so let's not treat each other that way. Human to human, have a discussion, learn something new everyday.
Ya he can sing all he wants on his own time. As a public figure we have expectations. It wasn't offensive at all it was just classless. Below expectations. We also demand a better class of politician where truth has some kind of space in their head. Having repeatedly witnessed our pm in action it's abundantly clear he is and never was up to the job. If you want to own your political party right or wrong and he is your guy that's not good for other people in a civil society. Demand more from your party and it's leaders.

The most truthful commentary I’ve heard in years. Our children need to hear this now
Children need to hear the truth, and most ages it can be given to them in an appropriate fashion. The truth about our unsustainable socio-economic system is important. The truth about critical thinking skills. The truth about the divisiveness of politics and how it tries to rip people apart more than bring them together. The truth about viable alternative systems that we could all be building towards and a just transition towards that system.
If we care about the future of humanity, we should be able to have truthful, honest conversations now, without getting insulting when we differ on ideas.

I haven"t watched BT in years... this has me interested. Allowing this host, Sid, to speak his mind on Trudeau was excellent. Rather than pressure an apology, he was allowed to clarify and set straight, respect.

Wonderfully said. I’ve followed Sid’s career for many years and always enjoyed the comedic approach. This new “angry” Sid is insightful and honest. You don’t need to agree with him, but you have to tip your cap to his unabashed honesty. He won’t pander, he will straight up be straight up. Love it!

I hope people care about honesty and truth more than they care about political alignment. Politics is meant to divide. Community is about coming together among common values to benefit everybody. I believe we have more in common with each other than we do apart. So let's stop taking offence to little things and have critically thinking discussions about issues and how to solve them, shall we?

That so refreshing to hear, Sid. That’s exactly what I found so frustrating to hear, over the years. I have some very liberal ideals BUT I also hold some very conservative ideals, I could commit to any party because of those beliefs. Recently, I joined a party, not because I believe in ‘the Party’ but because I wanted to have a say in who became party leader. So many past party leaders demonstrated very weak leadership in the party I joined, and I was fed up. I wanted somebody who had demonstrated real strength of conviction to, finally, be in leadership position. Some may dispute my position, that’s their opinion and welcome to it, this is mine and they can just FO!
