That's a beautiful sacrifice. Thank you to all the priests.

That is the clearest response I have ever heard. Well said.

I am a married Greek Orthodox priest who has found a balance between serving his flock and enriching the lives of many through our marriage. My wife and I share the ministry together, praying with the faithful, teaching and counseling the faithful and rejoicing in the salvation in Christ together. Our lives like yours have been a sacrifice. Thank you for your sacrifice as well, my brother.

I'm an italian seminarian, i'm 19. I want to donate all of me for Christ, for the Church and for the blessed people of God. Please. pray for our perseverance and for our mission.

Fr, there is no better way of saying this. Thanks

Well said! May the good Lord sustain you in your Catholic priest ministry!

As someone who grew up in an Eastern Orthodox Church here is what I think:

  • @craigmccormack3255

I think the issue is, to repress your sexual urges will cause issues. Often it's no surprise those who have "other than normal urges" take up that profession.

  • @annnguyen9595

Fr David, you are so wise. We are grateful for your sacrifice.

  • @jbountalas

I'm an Orthodox Christian and in our Church you can marry and then be ordained. You can't aspire to higher office than priest (presbyter), but it works and it does solve some issues.

Well said. Thank you for this message and your continued dedication.

Not to let priests get married, but to let married men become priests. Quite a common thing in the eastern churches.

  • @cocasio7190

Thank you for saying, "Yes" to the Lord. God bless you 🙏

  • @patriciadistefano7467

Exactly. So beautiful! Thank you for your “yes” to the Priesthood, Fr. David Michael, and for sharing and being an inspiration. God bless you!

Beautifully said! Manliness is not weakness, but strength and sacrifice. Lowering the bar is not the answer, it's the problem.

  • @kimberlynelson4585

Unfortunately, the Bible reiterates over and over how it’s not good for man to be alone. Women were created to be the help mates of men and i think that could include ministry as well. Even Peter, who is the “father” of the Roman Catholic Church was married.

The solution is to be good shepherds and to respect the sacraments that priests are trusted with. If the priests are really supposed to be in persona Christe then they should act like Christ.

  • @belinda7410

Wow, I got chills. Beautifully said.

In the Eastern Catholic Churches, their traditions which it back to the Apostolic era, they used to ordain married men as priests. It is a free will choice to the vocation, whereas in the Roman Catholic one it is still mandatory.
